1Thus says Yahweh, “Where is the bill of your mother’s divorce, with which I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.
1 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Ple, felly, mae llythyr ysgar eich mam, a roddais i'w gyrru ymaith? Neu, i ba echwynnwr y gwerthais chwi? O achos eich camweddau y gwerthwyd chwi, ac oherwydd eich troseddau y gyrrwyd eich mam ymaith.
2Why, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can’t redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
2 Pam nad oedd neb yma pan ddeuthum, na neb yn ateb pan elwais? A yw fy llaw yn rhy fyr i achub, neu a wyf yn rhy wan i waredu? Gwelwch, 'rwy'n sychu'r mr 'm dicter, ac yn troi afonydd yn ddiffeithwch; y mae eu pysgod yn drewi o ddiffyg du373?r, ac yn trengi o sychder.
3I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.”
3 'Rwy'n gwisgo'r nefoedd galarwisg, ac yn rhoi sachliain yn amdo iddynt."
4The Lord Yahweh has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
4 Rhoes yr ARGLWYDD Dduw i mi dafod un yn dysgu, i wybod sut i gynnal y diffygiol gair; bob bore y mae'n agor fy nghlust i wrando fel un yn dysgu.
5The Lord Yahweh has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.
5 Agorodd yr ARGLWYDD Dduw fy nghlust, ac ni wrthwynebais innau, na chilio'n l.
6I gave my back to the strikers, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair; I didn’t hide my face from shame and spitting.
6 Rhoddais fy nghefn i'r curwyr, a'm cernau i'r rhai a dynnai'r farf; ni chuddiais fy wyneb rhag gwaradwydd na phoer.
7For the Lord Yahweh will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed.
7 Y mae'r Arglwydd DDUW yn fy nghynnal, am hynny ni chaf fy sarhau; felly gosodaf fy wyneb fel callestr, a gwn na'm cywilyddir.
8He is near who justifies me; who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.
8 Y mae'r hwn sy'n fy nghyfiawnhau wrth law. Pwy a ddadlau i'm herbyn? Gadewch i ni wynebu'n gilydd; pwy a'm gwrthwyneba? Gadewch iddo nesu ataf.
9Behold, the Lord Yahweh will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Behold, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.
9 Y mae'r Arglwydd DDUW yn fy nghynnal: pwy a'm condemnia? Byddant i gyd yn treulio fel dilledyn a ysir gan wyfyn.
10Who is among you who fears Yahweh, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of Yahweh, and rely on his God.
10 Pwy bynnag ohonoch sy'n ofni'r ARGLWYDD, gwrandawed ar lais ei was. Yr un sy'n rhodio mewn tywyllwch heb olau ganddo, ymddirieded yn enw'r ARGLWYDD, a phwyso ar ei Dduw.
11Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with torches around yourselves; walk in the flame of your fire, and among the brands that you have kindled. You shall have this of my hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.
11 Ond chwi i gyd, sy'n cynnau tn ac yn goleuo tewynion, rhodiwch wrth lewyrch eich tn, a'r tewynion a oleuwyd gennych. Dyma'r hyn a ddaw i chwi o'm llaw: byddwch yn gorwedd mewn dioddefaint.
