1The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
1 Dechrau Efengyl Iesu Grist, Mab Duw.
2As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you. Malachi 3:1
2 Fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig yn y proffwyd Eseia: "Wele fi'n anfon fy nghennad o'th flaen i baratoi dy ffordd.
3The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’” Isaiah 40:3
3 Llais un yn galw yn yr anialwch, 'Paratowch ffordd yr Arglwydd, unionwch y llwybrau iddo'"
4John came baptizing or, immersing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
4 ymddangosodd Ioan Fedyddiwr yn yr anialwch, yn cyhoeddi bedydd edifeirwch yn foddion maddeuant pechodau.
5All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
5 Ac yr oedd holl wlad Jwdea, a holl drigolion Jerwsalem, yn mynd allan ato, ac yn cael eu bedyddio ganddo yn afon Iorddonen, gan gyffesu eu pechodau.
6John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
6 Yr oedd Ioan wedi ei wisgo mewn dillad o flew camel a gwregys o groen am ei ganol, a locustiaid a ml gwyllt oedd ei fwyd.
7He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.
7 A dyma'i genadwri: "Y mae un cryfach na mi yn dod ar f'l i. Nid wyf fi'n deilwng i blygu a datod carrai ei sandalau ef.
8I baptized you in The Greek word (en) translated here as “in” could also be translated as “with” in some contexts. water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”
8 du373?r y bedyddiais i chwi, ond 'r Ysbryd Gln y bydd ef yn eich bedyddio."
9It happened in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
9 Yn y dyddiau hynny daeth Iesu o Nasareth Galilea, a bedyddiwyd ef yn afon Iorddonen gan Ioan.
10Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting, and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
10 Ac yna, wrth iddo godi allan o'r du373?r, gwelodd y nefoedd yn rhwygo'n agored a'r Ysbryd fel colomen yn disgyn arno.
11A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
11 A daeth llais o'r nefoedd: "Ti yw fy Mab, yr Anwylyd; ynot ti yr wyf yn ymhyfrydu."
12Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.
12 Ac yna gyrrodd yr Ysbryd ef ymaith i'r anialwch,
13He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.
13 a bu yn yr anialwch am ddeugain diwrnod yn cael ei demtio gan Satan. Yr oedd yng nghanol yr anifeiliaid gwylltion, a'r angylion oedd yn gweini arno.
14Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God,
14 Wedi i Ioan gael ei garcharu daeth Iesu i Galilea gan gyhoeddi Efengyl Duw a dweud:
15and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
15 "Y mae'r amser wedi ei gyflawni ac y mae teyrnas Dduw wedi dod yn agos. Edifarhewch a chredwch yr Efengyl."
16Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
16 Wrth gerdded ar lan Mr Galilea gwelodd Iesu Simon a'i frawd Andreas yn bwrw rhwyd i'r mr; pysgotwyr oeddent.
17Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
17 Dywedodd Iesu wrthynt, "Dewch ar fy l i, ac fe'ch gwnaf yn bysgotwyr dynion."
18Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
18 A gadawsant eu rhwydau ar unwaith a'i ganlyn ef.
19Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
19 Wedi iddo fynd ymlaen ychydig gwelodd Iago fab Sebedeus ac Ioan ei frawd; yr oeddent wrthi'n cyweirio'r rhwydau yn y cwch.
20Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
20 Galwodd hwythau ar unwaith, a chan adael eu tad Sebedeus yn y cwch gyda'r gweision, aethant ymaith ar ei l ef.
21They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
21 Daethant i Gapernaum, ac yna, ar y Saboth, aeth ef i mewn i'r synagog a dechrau dysgu.
22They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
22 Yr oedd y bobl yn synnu at yr hyn yr oedd yn ei ddysgu, oherwydd yr oedd yn eu dysgu fel un ag awdurdod ganddo, ac nid fel yr ysgrifenyddion.
23Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
23 Yn eu synagog yr oedd dyn ag ysbryd aflan ynddo. Gwaeddodd hwnnw,
24saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!”
24 gan ddweud, "Beth sydd a fynni di ni, Iesu o Nasareth? A wyt ti wedi dod i'n difetha ni? Mi wn pwy wyt ti Sanct Duw."
25Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
25 Ceryddodd Iesu ef 'r geiriau: "Taw, a dos allan ohono."
26The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
26 A chan ei ysgytian a rhoi bloedd uchel, aeth yr ysbryd aflan allan ohono.
27They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
27 Syfrdanwyd pawb, nes troi a holi ei gilydd, "Beth yw hyn? Dyma ddysgeidiaeth newydd ac iddi awdurdod! Y mae hwn yn gorchymyn hyd yn oed yr ysbrydion aflan, a hwythau'n ufuddhau iddo."
28The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.
28 Ac aeth y sn amdano ar led ar unwaith trwy holl gymdogaeth Galilea.
29Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
29 Ac yna, wedi dod allan o'r synagog, aethant i du375? Simon ac Andreas gydag Iago ac Ioan.
30Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.
30 Ac yr oedd mam-yng-nghyfraith Simon yn gorwedd yn wael dan dwymyn. Dywedasant wrtho amdani yn ddi-oed;
31He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her, and she served them.
31 aeth yntau ati a gafael yn ei llaw a'i chodi. Gadawodd y dwymyn hi, a dechreuodd hithau weini arnynt.
32At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons.
32 Gyda'r nos, a'r haul wedi machlud, yr oeddent yn dwyn ato yr holl gleifion a'r rhai oedd wedi eu meddiannu gan gythreuliaid.
33All the city was gathered together at the door.
33 Ac yr oedd yr holl dref wedi ymgynnull wrth y drws.
34He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.
34 Iachaodd ef lawer oedd yn glaf dan amrywiol afiechydon, a bwriodd allan lawer o gythreuliaid, ac ni adawai i'r cythreuliaid ddweud gair, oherwydd eu bod yn ei adnabod.
35Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.
35 Bore trannoeth yn gynnar iawn, cododd ef ac aeth allan. Aeth ymaith i le unig, ac yno yr oedd yn gweddo.
36Simon and those who were with him followed after him;
36 Aeth Simon a'i gymdeithion i chwilio amdano;
37and they found him, and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
37 ac wedi dod o hyd iddo dywedasant wrtho, "Y mae pawb yn dy geisio di."
38He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”
38 Dywedodd yntau wrthynt, "Awn ymlaen i'r trefi nesaf, imi gael pregethu yno hefyd; oherwydd i hynny y deuthum allan."
39He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
39 Ac fe aeth drwy holl Galilea gan bregethu yn eu synagogau hwy a bwrw allan gythreuliaid.
40A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
40 Daeth dyn gwahanglwyfus ato ac erfyn arno ar ei liniau a dweud, "Os mynni, gelli fy nglanhau."
41Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
41 A chan dosturio estynnodd ef ei law a chyffwrdd ag ef a dweud wrtho, "Yr wyf yn mynnu, glanhaer di."
42When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.
42 Ymadawodd y gwahanglwyf ag ef ar unwaith, a glanhawyd ef.
43He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out,
43 Ac wedi ei rybuddio'n llym gyrrodd Iesu ef ymaith ar ei union,
44and said to him, “See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
44 a dweud wrtho, "Gwylia na ddywedi ddim wrth neb, ond dos a dangos dy hun i'r offeiriad, ac offryma dros dy lanhad yr hyn a orchmynnodd Moses, yn dystiolaeth gyhoeddus."
45But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.
45 Ond aeth yntau allan a dechrau rhoi'r hanes i gyd ar goedd a'i daenu ar led, fel na allai Iesu mwyach fynd i mewn yn agored i unrhyw dref. Yr oedd yn aros y tu allan, mewn lleoedd unig, ac eto yr oedd pobl yn dod ato o bob cyfeiriad.
