1Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
1 A llefarodd Iesu drachefn wrthynt ar ddamhegion.
2 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
2 "Y mae teyrnas nefoedd," meddai, "yn debyg i frenin, a drefnodd wledd briodas i'w fab.
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.
3 Anfonodd ei weision i alw'r gwahoddedigion i'r neithior, ond nid oeddent am ddod.
4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!”’
4 Anfonodd eilwaith weision eraill gan ddweud, 'Dywedwch wrth y gwahoddedigion, "Dyma fi wedi paratoi fy ngwledd, y mae fy mustych a'm llydnod pasgedig wedi eu lladd, a phopeth yn barod; dewch i'r neithior."'
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
5 Ond ni chymerodd y gwahoddedigion sylw, ac aethant ymaith, un i'w faes, ac un arall i'w fasnach.
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
6 A gafaelodd y lleill yn ei weision a'u cam-drin yn warthus a'u lladd.
7 When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
7 Digiodd y brenin, ac anfonodd ei filwyr i ddifetha'r llofruddion hynny a llosgi eu tref.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
8 Yna meddai wrth ei weision, 'Y mae'r wledd briodas yn barod, ond nid oedd y gwahoddedigion yn deilwng.
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’
9 Ewch felly i bennau'r strydoedd, a gwahoddwch bwy bynnag a gewch yno i'r wledd briodas.'
10 Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.
10 Ac fe aeth y gweision hynny allan i'r ffyrdd a chasglu ynghyd bawb a gawsant yno, yn ddrwg a da. A llanwyd neuadd y wledd briodas gan westeion.
11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,
11 Aeth y brenin i mewn i gael golwg ar y gwesteion a gwelodd yno ddyn heb wisg briodas amdano.
12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.
12 Meddai wrtho, 'Gyfaill, sut y daethost i mewn yma heb wisg briodas?' A thrawyd y dyn yn fud.
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’
13 Yna dywedodd y brenin wrth ei wasanaethyddion, 'Rhwymwch ei draed a'i ddwylo a bwriwch ef i'r tywyllwch eithaf; bydd yno wylo a rhincian dannedd.'
14 For many are called, but few chosen.”
14 Y mae llawer, yn wir, wedi eu gwahodd, ond ychydig wedi eu hethol."
15Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
15 Yna fe aeth y Phariseaid a chynllwynio sut i'w rwydo ar air.
16They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you aren’t partial to anyone.
16 A dyma hwy'n anfon eu disgyblion ato gyda'r Herodianiaid i ddweud, "Athro, gwyddom dy fod yn gwbl eirwir, ac yn dysgu ffordd Duw yn unol 'r gwirionedd; ni waeth gennyt am neb, ac yr wyt yn ddi-dderbyn-wyneb.
17Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
17 Dywed wrthym, felly, beth yw dy farn: a yw'n gyfreithlon talu treth i Gesar, ai nid yw?"
18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
18 Deallodd Iesu eu dichell a dywedodd, "Pam yr ydych yn rhoi prawf arnaf, ragrithwyr?
19 Show me the tax money.” They brought to him a denarius.
19 Dangoswch i mi ddarn arian y dreth." Daethant darn arian iddo,
20He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”
20 ac meddai ef wrthynt, "Llun ac arysgrif pwy sydd yma?"
21They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
21 Dywedasant wrtho, "Cesar." Yna meddai ef wrthynt, "Talwch felly bethau Cesar i Gesar, a phethau Duw i Dduw."
22When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away.
22 Pan glywsant hyn rhyfeddasant, a gadawsant ef a mynd ymaith.
23On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,
23 Yr un diwrnod daeth ato Sadwceaid yn dweud nad oes dim atgyfodiad.
24saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.’
24 Gofynasant iddo, "Athro, dywedodd Moses, 'Os bydd rhywun farw heb blant ganddo, y mae ei frawd i briodi'r wraig ac i godi plant i'w frawd.'
25Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother.
25 Yr oedd saith o frodyr yn ein plith; priododd y cyntaf, a bu farw, a chan nad oedd plant ganddo gadawodd ei wraig i'w frawd.
26In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
26 A'r un modd yr ail a'r trydydd, hyd at y seithfed.
27After them all, the woman died.
27 Yn olaf oll bu farw'r wraig.
28In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.”
28 Yn yr atgyfodiad, felly, gwraig prun o'r saith fydd hi? Oherwydd cafodd pob un hi'n wraig."
29But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
29 Atebodd Iesu hwy, "Yr ydych yn cyfeiliorni am nad ydych yn deall na'r Ysgrythurau na gallu Duw.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.
30 Oherwydd yn yr atgyfodiad ni phriodant ac ni phriodir hwy; y maent fel angylion yn y nef.
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
31 Ond ynglu375?n ag atgyfodiad y meirw, onid ydych wedi darllen y gair a lefarwyd wrthych gan Dduw,
32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ Exodus 3:6 God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
32 'Myfi, Duw Abraham a Duw Isaac a Duw Jacob ydwyf'? Nid Duw'r meirw yw ef, ond y rhai byw."
33When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
33 A phan glywodd y tyrfaoedd yr oeddent yn synnu at yr hyn yr oedd yn ei ddysgu.
34But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
34 Clywodd y Phariseaid iddo roi taw ar y Sadwceaid, a daethant at ei gilydd.
35One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
35 Ac i roi prawf arno, gofynnodd un ohonynt, ac yntau'n athro'r Gyfraith,
36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
36 "Athro, pa orchymyn yw'r mwyaf yn y Gyfraith?"
37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ Deuteronomy 6:5
37 Dywedodd Iesu wrtho, "'Cr yr Arglwydd dy Dduw 'th holl galon ac 'th holl enaid ac 'th holl feddwl.'
38 This is the first and great commandment.
38 Dyma'r gorchymyn cyntaf a phwysicaf.
39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Leviticus 19:18
39 Ac y mae'r ail yn debyg iddo: 'Cr dy gymydog fel ti dy hun.'
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
40 Ar y ddau orchymyn hyn y mae'r holl Gyfraith a'r proffwydi yn dibynnu."
41Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
41 Yr oedd y Phariseaid wedi ymgynnull, a gofynnodd Iesu iddynt,
42saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”
42 "Beth yw eich barn chwi ynglu375?n 'r Meseia? Mab pwy ydyw?" "Mab Dafydd," meddent wrtho.
43He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
43 "Sut felly," gofynnodd Iesu, "y mae Dafydd trwy'r Ysbryd yn ei alw'n Arglwydd, pan ddywed:
44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’ Psalm 110:1
44 'Dywedodd yr Arglwydd wrth fy Arglwydd i, "Eistedd ar fy neheulaw nes imi osod dy elynion dan dy draed "'?
45 “If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”
45 Os yw Dafydd felly yn ei alw'n Arglwydd, sut y mae'n fab iddo?"
46No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forth.
46 Ac nid oedd neb yn gallu ateb gair iddo, ac o'r diwrnod hwnnw ni feiddiodd neb ei holi ddim mwy.
