Matthew

26

1It happened, when Jesus had finished all these words, that he said to his disciples,
1 Pan orffennodd Iesu lefaru'r holl eiriau hyn, dywedodd wrth ei ddisgyblion,
2 “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”
2 "Gwyddoch fod y Pasg yn dod ymhen deuddydd, ac fe draddodir Mab y Dyn i'w groeshoelio."
3Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.
3 Yna daeth y prif offeiriaid a henuriaid y bobl ynghyd yng nghyntedd yr archoffeiriad, a elwid Caiaffas,
4They took counsel together that they might take Jesus by deceit, and kill him.
4 a chynllwyn i ddal Iesu trwy ddichell a'i ladd.
5But they said, “Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people.”
5 Ond dweud yr oeddent, "Nid yn ystod yr u373?yl, rhag digwydd cynnwrf ymhlith y bobl."
6Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
6 Pan oedd Iesu ym Methania yn nhu375? Simon y gwahanglwyfus,
7a woman came to him having an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table.
7 daeth gwraig ato a chanddi ffiol alabastr o ennaint gwerthfawr, a thywalltodd yr ennaint ar ei ben tra oedd ef wrth bryd bwyd.
8But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?
8 Pan welodd y disgyblion hyn, aethant yn ddig a dweud, "I ba beth y bu'r gwastraff hwn?
9For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.”
9 Oherwydd gallesid gwerthu'r ennaint hwn am lawer o arian a'i roi i'r tlodion."
10However, knowing this, Jesus said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? Because she has done a good work for me.
10 Sylwodd Iesu ar hyn a dywedodd wrthynt, "Pam yr ydych yn poeni'r wraig? Oherwydd gweithred brydferth a wnaeth hi i mi.
11 For you always have the poor with you; but you don’t always have me.
11 Y mae'r tlodion gyda chwi bob amser, ond ni fyddaf fi gyda chwi bob amser.
12 For in pouring this ointment on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
12 Wrth dywallt yr ennaint hwn ar fy nghorff, fy mharatoi yr oedd hi ar gyfer fy nghladdu.
13 Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”
13 Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, pa le bynnag y pregethir yr Efengyl yma yn yr holl fyd, adroddir hefyd yr hyn a wnaeth hon, er cof amdani."
14Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests,
14 Yna aeth un o'r Deuddeg, hwnnw a elwid Jwdas Iscariot, at y prif offeiriaid
15and said, “What are you willing to give me, that I should deliver him to you?” They weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.
15 a dweud, "Beth a rowch imi os bradychaf ef i chwi?" Talasant iddo ddeg ar hugain o ddarnau arian;
16From that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
16 ac o'r pryd hwnnw dechreuodd geisio cyfle i'w fradychu ef.
17Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
17 Ar ddydd cyntaf gu373?yl y Bara Croyw daeth y disgyblion at Iesu a gofyn, "Ble yr wyt ti am inni baratoi i ti fwyta gwledd y Pasg?".
18He said, “Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.”’”
18 Dywedodd yntau, "Ewch i'r ddinas at ddyn arbennig a dywedwch wrtho, 'Y mae'r Athro'n dweud, "Y mae fy amser i'n agos; yn dy du375? di yr wyf am gadw'r Pasg gyda'm disgyblion."'"
19The disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.
19 A gwnaeth y disgyblion fel y gorchmynnodd Iesu iddynt, a pharatoesant wledd y Pasg.
20Now when evening had come, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.
20 Gyda'r nos yr oedd wrth y bwrdd gyda'r Deuddeg.
21As they were eating, he said, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
21 Ac fel yr oeddent yn bwyta, dywedodd Iesu, "Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych y bydd i un ohonoch fy mradychu i."
22They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, “It isn’t me, is it, Lord?”
22 A chan dristu yn fawr dechreusant ddweud wrtho, bob un ohonynt, "Nid myfi yw, Arglwydd?"
23He answered, “He who dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same will betray me.
23 Atebodd yntau, "Un a wlychodd ei law gyda mi yn y ddysgl, hwnnw a'm bradycha i.
24 The Son of Man goes, even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”
24 Y mae Mab y Dyn yn wir yn ymadael, fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig amdano, ond gwae'r dyn hwnnw y bradychir Mab y Dyn ganddo! Da fuasai i'r dyn hwnnw petai heb ei eni."
25Judas, who betrayed him, answered, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You said it.”
25 Dywedodd Jwdas ei fradychwr, "Nid myfi yw, Rabbi?" Meddai Iesu wrtho, "Ti a ddywedodd hynny."
26As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
26 Ac wrth iddynt fwyta, cymerodd Iesu fara, ac wedi bendithio fe'i torrodd a'i roi i'r disgyblion, a dywedodd, "Cymerwch, bwytewch; hwn yw fy nghorff."
27He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it,
27 A chymerodd gwpan, ac wedi diolch fe'i rhoddodd iddynt gan ddweud, "Yfwch ohono, bawb,
28 for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
28 oherwydd hwn yw fy ngwaed i, gwaed y cyfamod, a dywelltir dros lawer er maddeuant pechodau.
29 But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”
29 'Rwy'n dweud wrthych nad yfaf o hyn allan o hwn, ffrwyth y winwydden, hyd y dydd hwnnw pan yfaf ef yn newydd gyda chwi yn nheyrnas fy Nhad."
30When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
30 Ac wedi iddynt ganu emyn aethant allan i Fynydd yr Olewydd.
31Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
31 Yna dywedodd Iesu wrthynt, "Fe ddaw cwymp i bob un ohonoch chwi o'm hachos i heno, oherwydd y mae'n ysgrifenedig: 'Trawaf y bugail, a gwasgerir defaid y praidd.'
32 But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”
32 Ond wedi i mi gael fy nghyfodi af o'ch blaen chwi i Galilea."
33But Peter answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.”
33 Atebodd Pedr ef, "Er iddynt gwympo bob un o'th achos di, ni chwympaf fi byth."
34Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”
34 Meddai Iesu wrtho, "Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthyt y bydd i ti heno, cyn i'r ceiliog ganu, fy ngwadu i deirgwaith."
35Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you.” All of the disciples also said likewise.
35 "Hyd yn oed petai'n rhaid imi farw gyda thi," meddai Pedr wrtho, "ni'th wadaf byth." Ac felly y dywedodd y disgyblion i gyd.
36Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.”
36 Yna daeth Iesu gyda hwy i le a elwir Gethsemane, ac meddai wrth y disgyblion, "Eisteddwch yma tra byddaf fi'n mynd fan draw i weddo."
37He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and severely troubled.
37 Ac fe gymerodd gydag ef Pedr a dau fab Sebedeus; a dechreuodd deimlo tristwch a thrallod dwys.
38Then he said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch with me.”
38 Yna meddai wrthynt, "Y mae f'enaid yn drist iawn hyd at farw. Arhoswch yma a gwyliwch gyda mi."
39He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”
39 Aeth ymlaen ychydig, a syrthiodd ar ei wyneb gan weddo, "Fy Nhad, os yw'n bosibl, boed i'r cwpan hwn fynd heibio i mi; ond nid fel y mynnaf fi, ond fel y mynni di."
40He came to the disciples, and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour?
40 Daeth yn l at y disgyblion a'u cael hwy'n cysgu, ac meddai wrth Pedr, "Felly! Oni allech wylio am un awr gyda mi?
41 Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
41 Gwyliwch, a gweddwch na ddewch i gael eich profi. Y mae'r ysbryd yn barod ond y cnawd yn wan."
42Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”
42 Aeth ymaith drachefn yr ail waith a gweddo, "Fy Nhad, os nad yw'n bosibl i'r cwpan hwn fynd heibio heb i mi ei yfed, gwneler dy ewyllys di."
43He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
43 A phan ddaeth yn l fe'u cafodd hwy'n cysgu eto, oherwydd yr oedd eu llygaid yn drwm.
44He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.
44 Ac fe'u gadawodd eto a mynd ymaith i weddo y drydedd waith, gan lefaru'r un geiriau drachefn.
45Then he came to his disciples, and said to them, “Sleep on now, and take your rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
45 Yna daeth at y disgyblion a dweud wrthynt, "A ydych yn dal i gysgu a gorffwys? Dyma'r awr yn agos, a Mab y Dyn yn cael ei fradychu i ddwylo pechaduriaid.
46 Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”
46 Codwch ac awn. Dyma fy mradychwr yn agosu."
47While he was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priest and elders of the people.
47 Yna, tra oedd yn dal i siarad, dyma Jwdas, un o'r Deuddeg, yn dod, a chydag ef dyrfa fawr yn dwyn cleddyfau a phastynau, wedi eu hanfon gan y prif offeiriaid a henuriaid y bobl.
48Now he who betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, “Whoever I kiss, he is the one. Seize him.”
48 Rhoddodd ei fradychwr arwydd iddynt gan ddweud, "Yr un a gusanaf yw'r dyn; daliwch ef."
49Immediately he came to Jesus, and said, “Hail, Rabbi!” and kissed him.
49 Ac yn union aeth at Iesu a dweud, "Henffych well, Rabbi", a chusanodd ef.
50Jesus said to him, “Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
50 Dywedodd Iesu wrtho, "Gyfaill, gwna'r hyn yr wyt yma i'w wneud." Yna daethant a rhoi eu dwylo ar Iesu a'i ddal.
51Behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear.
51 A dyma un o'r rhai oedd gyda Iesu yn estyn ei law ac yn tynnu ei gleddyf a tharo gwas yr archoffeiriad a thorri ei glust i ffwrdd.
52Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.
52 Yna dywedodd Iesu wrtho, "Rho dy gleddyf yn l yn ei le, oherwydd bydd pawb sy'n cymryd y cleddyf yn marw trwy'r cleddyf.
53 Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
53 A wyt yn tybio na allwn ddeisyf ar fy Nhad, ac na roddai i mi yn awr fwy na deuddeg lleng o angylion?
54 How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?”
54 Ond sut felly y cyflawnid yr Ysgrythurau sy'n dweud mai fel hyn y mae'n rhaid iddi ddigwydd?"
55In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.
55 A'r pryd hwnnw dywedodd Iesu wrth y dyrfa, "Ai fel at leidr, chleddyfau a phastynau, y daethoch allan i'm dal i? Yr oeddwn yn eistedd beunydd yn y deml yn dysgu, ac ni ddaliasoch fi.
56 But all this has happened, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him, and fled.
56 Ond digwyddodd hyn oll fel y cyflawnid yr hyn a ysgrifennodd y proffwydi." Yna gadawodd y disgyblion ef bob un, a ffoi.
57Those who had taken Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.
57 Aeth y rhai oedd wedi dal Iesu ag ef ymaith i du375? Caiaffas yr archoffeiriad, lle'r oedd yr ysgrifenyddion a'r henuriaid wedi dod ynghyd.
58But Peter followed him from a distance, to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.
58 Canlynodd Pedr ef o hirbell hyd at gyntedd yr archoffeiriad, ac wedi mynd i mewn eisteddodd gyda'r gwasanaethwyr, i weld y diwedd.
59Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death;
59 Yr oedd y prif offeiriaid a'r holl Sanhedrin yn ceisio camdystiolaeth yn erbyn Iesu, er mwyn ei roi i farwolaeth,
60and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward,
60 ond ni chawsant ddim, er i lawer o dystion gau ddod ymlaen. Yn y diwedd daeth dau ymlaen
61and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”
61 a dweud, "Dywedodd hwn, 'Gallaf fwrw i lawr deml Duw, ac ymhen tridiau ei hadeiladu.'"
62The high priest stood up, and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”
62 Yna cododd yr archoffeiriad ar ei draed a dweud wrtho, "Onid atebi ddim? Beth am dystiolaeth y rhain yn dy erbyn?"
63But Jesus held his peace. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”
63 Parhaodd Iesu'n fud; a dywedodd yr archoffeiriad wrtho, "Yr wyf yn rhoi siars i ti dyngu yn enw'r Duw byw a dweud wrthym ai ti yw'r Meseia, Mab Duw."
64Jesus said to him, “You have said it. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”
64 Dywedodd Iesu wrtho, "Ti a ddywedodd hynny; ond 'rwy'n dweud wrthych: 'O hyn allan fe welwch Fab y Dyn yn eistedd ar ddeheulaw'r Gallu ac yn dyfod ar gymylau'r nef.'"
65Then the high priest tore his clothing, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.
65 Yna rhwygodd yr archoffeiriad ei ddillad a dweud, "Cabledd! Pa raid i ni wrth dystion bellach? Yr ydych newydd glywed ei gabledd.
66What do you think?” They answered, “He is worthy of death!”
66 Sut y barnwch chwi?" Atebasant, "Y mae'n haeddu marwolaeth."
67Then they spit in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,
67 Yna poerasant ar ei wyneb a'i gernodio; trawodd rhai ef
68saying, “Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who hit you?”
68 a dweud, "Proffwyda i ni, Feseia! Pwy a'th drawodd?"
69Now Peter was sitting outside in the court, and a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Jesus, the Galilean!”
69 Yr oedd Pedr yn eistedd y tu allan yn y cyntedd. A daeth un o'r morynion ato a dweud, "Yr oeddit tithau hefyd gyda Iesu'r Galilead."
70But he denied it before them all, saying, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
70 Ond gwadodd ef o flaen pawb a dweud, "Nid wyf yn gwybod am beth yr wyt ti'n sn."
71When he had gone out onto the porch, someone else saw him, and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
71 Ac wedi iddo fynd allan i'r porth, gwelodd morwyn arall ef a dweud wrth y rhai oedd yno, "Yr oedd hwn gyda Iesu'r Nasaread."
72Again he denied it with an oath, “I don’t know the man.”
72 Gwadodd yntau drachefn llw, "Nid wyf yn adnabod y dyn."
73After a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter, “Surely you are also one of them, for your speech makes you known.”
73 Ymhen ychydig, dyma'r rhai oedd yn sefyll yno yn dod at Pedr a dweud wrtho, "Yn wir yr wyt ti hefyd yn un ohonynt, achos y mae dy acen yn dy fradychu."
74Then he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know the man!” Immediately the rooster crowed.
74 Yna dechreuodd yntau regi a thyngu, "Nid wyf yn adnabod y dyn." Ac ar unwaith fe ganodd y ceiliog.
75Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” He went out and wept bitterly.
75 Cofiodd Pedr y gair a lefarodd Iesu, "Cyn i'r ceiliog ganu, fe'm gwedi i deirgwaith." Aeth allan ac wylo'n chwerw.
