¹ 1 C�n Esgyniad.0 O ARGLWYDD, cofia am Ddafydd yn ei holl dreialon,

²how he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

² fel y bu iddo dyngu i'r ARGLWYDD ac addunedu i Un Cadarn Jacob,

³“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

³ "Nid af i mewn i'r babell y trigaf ynddi, nac esgyn i'r gwely y gorffwysaf arno;

⁴I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

⁴ ni roddaf gwsg i'm llygaid na hun i'm hamrannau,

⁵until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

⁵ nes imi gael lle i'r ARGLWYDD a thrigfan i Un Cadarn Jacob."

⁶Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

⁶ Wele, clywsom amdani yn Effrata, a chawsom hi ym meysydd y coed.

⁷“We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.

⁷ "Awn i mewn i'w drigfan a phlygwn wrth ei droedfainc.

⁸Arise, Yahweh, into your resting place; you, and the ark of your strength.

⁸ Cyfod, ARGLWYDD, a thyrd i'th orffwysfa, ti ac arch dy nerth.

⁹Let your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

⁹ Bydded dy offeiriaid wedi eu gwisgo � chyfiawnder, a bydded i'th ffyddloniaid orfoleddu."

¹⁰For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.

¹⁰ Er mwyn Dafydd dy was, paid � throi oddi wrth wyneb dy eneiniog.

¹¹Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

¹¹ Tyngodd yr ARGLWYDD i Ddafydd adduned sicr na thry oddi wrthi: "O ffrwyth dy gorff y gosodaf un ar dy orsedd.

¹²If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forevermore.”

¹² Os ceidw dy feibion fy nghyfamod, a'r tystiolaethau a ddysgaf iddynt, bydd eu meibion hwythau hyd byth yn eistedd ar dy orsedd."

¹³For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.

¹³ Oherwydd dewisodd yr ARGLWYDD Seion, a'i chwennych yn drigfan iddo:

¹⁴“This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.

¹⁴ "Dyma fy ngorffwysfa am byth; yma y trigaf am imi ei dewis.

¹⁵I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

¹⁵ Bendithiaf hi � digonedd o ymborth, a digonaf ei thlodion � bara.

¹⁶Her priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

¹⁶ Gwisgaf ei hoffeiriaid ag iachawdwriaeth, a bydd ei ffyddloniaid yn gorfoleddu.

¹⁷There I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

¹⁷ Yno y gwnaf i gorn dyfu i Ddafydd; darperais lamp i'm heneiniog.

¹⁸I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent.”

¹⁸ Gwisgaf ei elynion � chywilydd, ond ar ei ben ef y bydd coron ddisglair."
