³³Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

³³Men Jakob sagde: "Du må først sværge mig det til!" Da svor Esau på det og solgte sin Førstefødselsret til Jakob.

³⁴Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils. He ate and drank, rose up, and went his way. So Esau despised his birthright.

³⁴Så gav Jakob Esau Brød og kogte Linser, og da han havde spist og drukket, stod han op og gik sin Vej. Således lod Esau hånt om sin Førstefødselsret.
