1King Solomon was king over all Israel.
1سلیمان پادشاه، پادشاه سراسر سرزمین اسرائیل بود
2These were the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;
2و اشخاص ذیل مأمورین عالیرتبۀ حکومت او بودند. عَزریا، پسر صادوق کاهن.
3Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder;
3اَلِیحُورَف و اخیا، پسران شیشه منشی های او بودند. یَهُوشافاط، پسر اخیلود، وزیر اطلاعات،
4and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
4بنایاهو، پسر یَهویاداع، وزیر دفاع، صادوق و ابیاتار کاهن بودند.
5and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, the king’s friend;
5عَزریا، پسر ناتان، رئیس شورا، زابود، پسر ناتان کاهن و دوست پادشاه بود.
6and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.
6اَخیشار ناظر قصر سلطنتی و ادونیرام، پسر عَبدا سرپرست کارهای اجباری.
7Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household: each man had to make provision for a month in the year.
7سلیمان همچنان دوازده والی بر تمام اسرائیل مقرر کرد که برای شاه و خاندان او خوراک و دیگر احتیاجات شان را تهیه می کردند. هر کدام این والیان یک ماه در سال مسئول این کار بود.
8These are their names: Ben Hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
8و آن ها این اشخاص بودند: بنحور، در کوهستان افرایم.
9Ben Deker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth Shemesh, and Elon Beth Hanan;
9بندَقَر، در شهرهای ماقص، شِعَلبیم، بیت شمس و اَیَلون بیت حانان.
10Ben Hesed, in Arubboth (to him belonged Socoh, and all the land of Hepher);
10بِنحَسَد در اَرُوبُوت ـ به شمول سوکوه و تمام سرزمین حافر.
11Ben Abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon as wife);
11بِن اَبِیناداب در تمام ساحۀ دُر. (او شوهر تافَت، دختر سلیمان بود.)
12Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth Shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth Shean to Abel Meholah, as far as beyond Jokmeam;
12بعنه، پسر اخیلود در تَعنَک، مِجِدو و تمام بیت شان، در نزدیکی زَرِتان و در پائین یِزرعیل و از بیت شان تا اَبَل مِحوله و شهر یُقمِعام.
13Ben Geber, in Ramoth Gilead (to him belonged the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him belonged the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars);
13بِن جابَر، در راموت جِلعاد بشمول دهات یایر، پسر مَنَسّیو، در جِلعاد و ساحۀ اَرجُوب در باشان و همچنین شصت شهر با دیوار و دروازه های برنجی.
14Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
14اَخیناداب، پسر عِدو در محنایم.
15Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon as wife);
15اخیمعص، در نفتالی. (او هم داماد سلیمان، و نام زنش باسمَت بود.)
16Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;
16بعنه، پسر حوشای، در اَشیر و بَعلوت.
17Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
17یَهُوشافاط، پسر فاروح، در ایسَسکار.
18Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
18شِمعی، پسر اِیلا، در بنیامین.
19Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in the land.
19جابَر، پسر اُوری، در سرزمین جِلعاد. (بشمول قلمرو سیحون، پادشاه اموریان و عوج، پادشاه باشان.( در کشور یهودا یکنفر موظف این کار بود.
20Judah and Israel were many as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
20نفوس اسرائیل و یهودا مثل ریگ دریا زیاد و بی شمار بود. می خوردند و می نوشیدند و در زندگی خوش بودند.
21Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
21ساحۀ قلمرو سلیمان شامل ساحۀ وسیعی بود که از دریای فرات شروع می شد تا سرزمین فلسطینی ها و سرحد مصر می رسید. آن ها در سراسر دوران سلطنت سلیمان به او مالیات می پرداختند و خدمت او را می کردند.
22Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,
22مصرف خوراک روزانۀ دربار سلیمان از اینقرار بود: پنج تُن آرد تَرمیده، ده تُن آرد جَو،
23ten head of fat cattle, and twenty head of cattle out of the pastures, and one hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fattened fowl.
23ده گاو چاق، بیست گاو از چراگاه، صد گوسفند و همچنین آهو، گوزن و مرغهای چاق.
24For he had dominion over all on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides around him.
24ساحۀ فرمانروائی او را تمام قسمت غربی دریای فرات و از تِفسَح تا غزه و تمام کشور های پادشاهان ماورالنهر تشکیل می داد. در سراسر کشورهای اطراف او صلح و آرامش حکمفرما بود.
25Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
25در دوران سلطنت سلیمان، یهودا و اسرائیل ـ از دان تا بئرشِبع ـ از امنیت کامل برخوردار بودند. همگی آرام و آسوده در سایۀ تاک و درخت انجیر خود می نشستند.
26Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
26سلیمان همچنان چهل هزار طویله برای اسپهای خود و دوازده هزار سوار داشت.
27Those officers provided food for king Solomon, and for all who came to king Solomon’s table, every man in his month; they let nothing be lacking.
27مأمورین موظف هر ماه ضروریات سلیمان و اهل دربار او را تهیه می کردند.
28Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds brought they to the place where the officers were, every man according to his duty.
28برعلاوه جو و کاه برای اسپها و اسپهای تیزپا برای مأمورین ـ نظر به مقام و رتبۀ آن ها ـ به محل کار شان می آوردند.
29God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and very great understanding, even as the sand that is on the seashore.
29و خدا به سلیمان حکمت و دانش زیاد داد. ساحۀ دانش و بینش او انتها نداشت.
30Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
30خلاصه حکمت سلیمان زیادتر از حکمت همه عُلمای مشرق زمین و کشور مصر بود.
31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations all around.
31او داناتر از همۀ مردم و عاقلتر از ایتانِ ازراحی و پسران ماحُول، یعنی حیمان، کَلکول و دَردَع بود. نامش در کشورهای اطراف او شهرت زیادی داشت.
32He spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were one thousand five.
32او همچنان سه هزار مَثَل گفت و یکهزار و پنج سرود نوشت.
33He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fish.
33در بارۀ درختان ـ از سرو آزاد لبنان تا نباتاتیکه بر دیوارها می رویند ـ سخن گفت. در اطراف حیوانات وحشی، پرندگان، خزندگان و ماهی حرف زد.مردم از همه جا می آمدند تا حکمت سلیمان را بشنوند و نمایندگان پادشاهان روی زمین برای مشوره پیش او می آمدند.
34There came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
34مردم از همه جا می آمدند تا حکمت سلیمان را بشنوند و نمایندگان پادشاهان روی زمین برای مشوره پیش او می آمدند.
