¹For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles,

¹به این سبب است که من پولُس ـ زندانی مسیح عیسی به خاطر شما غیر یهودیان ـ به درگاه خدا برای تان دعا می کنم.

²if it is so that you have heard of the administration of that grace of God which was given me toward you;

²حتماً خبر دارید که خدا فیض خود را به من عنایت کرده و از من خواسته است که آن را برای شما به کار برم.

³how that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words,

³از راه الهام بود که این نقشۀ اسرارآمیز خدا بر من آشکار گردید. (من قبلاً به طور خلاصه دربارۀ آن نوشته ام

⁴by which, when you read, you can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ;

⁴و اگر آنچه را که نوشته ام بخوانید، خواهید فهمید که من تا چه اندازه راز مسیح را فهمیده ام.)

⁵which in other generations was not made known to the children of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;

⁵این راز به طوری که اکنون به وسیلۀ روح القدس برای رسولان و انبیای مقدس خدا آشکار شده است، در قرن های گذشته برای بشر روشن نبود

⁶that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of his promise in Christ Jesus through the Good News,

⁶و آن حقیقت پوشیده این است، که غیر یهودیان از راه انجیل با یهودیان هم ارث و با هم اعضای یک بدن و در وعده ای که خدا در مسیح عیسی به ما داده است، شریک و سهیم هستند.

⁷of which I was made a servant, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.

⁷من مطابق عطیۀ فیض خدا و در اثر فعالیت قدرت او خدمتگزار انجیل شدم.

⁸To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

⁸بلی، من اگرچه در بین مقدسین از همه کمترم، اما این فیض به من عطا شد تا بتوانم بشارت ثروت بی قیاس مسیح را به ملت های غیر یهود برسانم

⁹and to make all men see what is the administration TR reads “fellowship” instead of “administration” of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ;

⁹و به همه نشان دهم، که چگونه نقشۀ خدا به مورد اجراء گذارده می شود. خدا که آفرینندۀ همه چیز است این راز خود را در زمان های گذشته پوشیده نگاه داشت،

¹⁰to the intent that now through the assembly the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places,

¹⁰تا اینکه در حال حاضر، خدا جنبه های گوناگون حکمت خود را به وسیلۀ کلیسا به قدرتها و حکمرانان عالم آسمانی بشناساند.

¹¹according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord;

¹¹این نقشه مطابق آن هدف ازلی بود که خدا آن را در شخص خداوند ما، مسیح عیسی عملی ساخته است.

¹²in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.

¹²به وسیلۀ او و از راه ایمان ما می توانیم با اطمینان کامل به حضور خدا بیائیم.

¹³Therefore I ask that you may not lose heart at my troubles for you, which are your glory.

¹³پس من از شما تقاضا می کنم از رنج هایی که به خاطر شما می کشم مأیوس نباشید، زیرا اینها باید مایۀ افتخار شما باشد.

¹⁴For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁴بنابراین، من پیش پدری زانو می زنم که

¹⁵from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

¹⁵هر خانواده در آسمان و زمین نام خود را از او گرفته است

¹⁶that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;

¹⁶و دعا می کنم که از گنج های جلال خود به شما ببخشاید تا به وسیلۀ روح او در درون خود قوی و نیرومند شوید،

¹⁷that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁷و خدا عطا فرماید، که مسیح از راه ایمان شما در قلب های تان ساکن شود و دعا می کنم، که در محبت ریشه دوانیده و بر پایۀ محبت بنا شوید

¹⁸may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

¹⁸تا با همۀ مقدسین قدرت داشته باشید پهنا و درازا و بلندی و عمق محبت مسیح را بفهمید

¹⁹and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

¹⁹و آن محبت را دریابید (اگرچه مافوق فهم بشر است) تا از پُری کامل خدا کاملاً پُر شوید.

²⁰Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

²⁰جلال بر خدایی باد که قادر است به وسیلۀ آن قدرتی که در ما کار می کند، خیلی بیشتر از آنچه ما بخواهیم و حتی گمان کنیم، عمل کند.بر او نسلاً بعد نسل تا به ابد در کلیسا و در مسیح عیسی جلال باد، آمین.

²¹to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
