1Yahweh said to Moses, “Chisel two stone tablets like the first: and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.
1خداوند به موسی فرمود: «دو لوحۀ سنگی را مهیا کن و من همان احکامی را که در لوحه های اولی نوشته شده بودند و تو آن ها را شکستی، می نویسم.
2Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain.
2فردا آماده باش و به کوه سینا برو و بر قلۀ کوه در حضور من حاضر شو.
3No one shall come up with you; neither let anyone be seen throughout all the mountain; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mountain.”
3هیچ کس دیگر نباید با تو بیاید و احدی در اطراف کوه دیده نشود. به هیچ گله و رمه ای اجازه ندهی که در نزدیکی کوه بچرد.»
4He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets.
4پس موسی قرار امر خداوند دو لوحۀ سنگی را به مثل لوحه های اولی آماده کرد و صبح وقت برخاست و لوحه ها را با خود گرفته به کوه سینا بالا شد.
5Yahweh descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Yahweh.
5خداوند در یک ستون ابر پائین آمد و در برابر موسی ایستاد و نام مقدس خود «خداوند» را اعلام کرد.
6Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, “Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,
6بعد از کنار او گذشته فرمود: «من خداوند هستم؛ خداوندی که رحیم و مهربان است. بزودی خشمگین نمی شود و پُر از وفا و محبت است.
7keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.”
7دوستدار هزاران نسل و بخشایندۀ خطا و جرم و گناه است، اما اختیار دارد که گناهکاران را بدون جزا نگذارد. خطاهای پدران را از پسران و پسرانِ پسران شان تا نسل سوم و چهارم می گیرد.»
8Moses hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.
8آنگاه موسی سر به سجده نهاده گفت: «ای خداوند، اگر براستی قبول درگاهت شده ام، پس از تو تمنا می کنم که با ما بروی. البته می دانم که این قوم، مردم نافرمان و خودسر هستند، ولی بازهم بدربارت دعا میکنم که گناه و خطای ما را ببخشی. و از دولت خدائی ات ما را بی بهره نسازی.»
9He said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us; although this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”
9خداوند در جواب او فرمود: «بسیار خوب، من با شما پیمانی می بندم و در مقابل چشمان تمام قوم چنان معجزاتی نشان می دهم که در هیچ جای دنیا و در بین هیچ ملتی دیده نشده باشد و تمام مردم اسرائیل قدرت خداوند را تماشا خواهند کرد و این کاریکه من می خواهم با تو بکنم یک کار بسیار هولناکی خواهد بود.
10He said, “Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of Yahweh; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.
10از تمام احکامی که امروز به تو میدهم باید پیروی کنی. آنگاه من تمام اموریان، کنعانیان، حِتیان، فرزیان، حویان و یبوسیان را از سر راه تو دور می کنم.
11Observe that which I command you this day. Behold, I drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
11اما احتیاط کنی که به سرزمینی که می روی با مردم آنجا پیمانی نبندی که مبادا در دام شان بیفتی.
12Be careful, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you:
12برعکس تو باید قربانگاه های شان را ویران کنی، ستونهای شان را بشکنی و مجسمه های شرم آور شان را از بین ببری.
13but you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and you shall cut down their Asherim;
13تو نباید خدایان دیگر را پرستش کنی، زیرا خداوند که نام او غیور و حسود است، پرستش خدای غیر را تحمل نمی کند.
14for you shall worship no other god: for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
14هیچگاهی نباید با مردم آن سرزمین عهدی ببندی، زیرا وقتی آن ها برای خدایان خود قربانی می کنند، این عمل آن ها بیوفائی شان را در برابر خدای برحق نشان می دهد. و اگر ترا دعوت کنند، تو هم مجبور می شوی که از گوشت قربانی آن ها بخوری، بنابران تو هم در گناه شان شریک میشوی.
15“Don’t make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;
15و اگر دختران شان را برای پسران خود بگیری، چون آن ها زنان پسرانت می شوند و خدایان غیر را پرستش می کنند و پرستش خدایان بیگانه به منزلۀ بی وفائی در مقابل من است، پس در حقیقت پسرانت هم بی وفا می شوند.
16and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters play the prostitute after their gods, and make your sons play the prostitute after their gods.
16برای خود بت نسازید.
17“You shall make no cast idols for yourselves.
17عید فطیر را برگزار کنید. و برای هفت روز نان فطیر بخورید. این مراسم را در زمان معین، یعنی در ماه ابیب (حوت)، قراریکه من برای تان تعیین کرده ام برگزار نمائید، زیرا در همین ماه ابیب بود که شما از مصر خارج شدید.
18“You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.
18هر پسر اولباری و هر نوزاد نر رمه و گله، چه از گاو و چه از گوسفند، متعلق به من است.
19“All that opens the womb is mine; and all your livestock that is male, the firstborn of cow and sheep.
19به عوض نوزاد اول الاغ، باید یک بره فدیه بدهید و اگر نمی خواهید فدیه بدهید گردنش را بشکنید. هر پسر اولباری را باید فدیه کنید. هیچ کس نباید به حضور من دست خالی بیاید.
20The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. No one shall appear before me empty.
20شش روز کار کنید و در روز هفتم استراحت نمائید. حتی در موسم قلبه و درو هم نباید در روز هفتم کار کنید.
21“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.
21عید هفته ها را هم جشن بگیرید. عید حاصل نو درو گندم و عید تحویل سال نو را هر ساله برگزار کنید.
22“You shall observe the feast of weeks with the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of harvest at the year’s end.
22سه مرتبه در سال، همه افراد ذکور به حضور خداوند، خدای اسرائیل حاضر شوند.
23Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel.
23در این سه باریکه می آئید و به پیش خداوند حضور می یابید، کسی به شما حمله نمی کند و کشور تانرا متصرف نمی شود، زیرا من همه اقوام را از سر راه تان می رانم و سرحدات کشور تانرا وسیع می سازم.
24For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before Yahweh, your God, three times in the year.
24نانی که با خمیرمایه پخته شده باشد نباید همراه قربانی که به من می کنید یکجا باشد. و گوشت قربانی عید فصح را نباید تا صبح نگهدارید.
25“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.
25بهترین میوۀ نو زمین را به خانۀ خداوند، خدای خود بیاورید. بزغاله را نباید در شیر مادرش پخته کنید.»
26“You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of Yahweh your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
26خداوند به موسی فرمود: «احکامی را که بتو دادم بنویس، زیرا اینها شرایط پیمانی هستند که با تو و قوم اسرائیل بسته ام.»
27Yahweh said to Moses, “Write you these words: for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”
27و موسی تا چهل شبانه روز با خداوند در بالای کوه ماند. او در تمام این مدت نه چیزی خورد و نه چیزی نوشید، بلکه احکام ده گانۀ عهدنامه را بروی لوحه های سنگی نوشت.
28He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
28وقتی موسی با دو لوحۀ سنگی از کوه پائین آمد، چهره اش می درخشید، زیرا با خداوند صحبت کرده بود، اما خودش نمی دانست.
29It happened, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mountain, that Moses didn’t know that the skin of his face shone by reason of his speaking with him.
29و چون هارون و مردم اسرائیل چهرۀ درخشان موسی را دیدند، از ترس به او نزدیک نشدند.
30When Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.
30اما موسی آن ها را پیش خود فراخواند. پس هارون و مو سفیدان قوم پیش او رفتند و موسی با آن ها حرف زد.
31Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them.
31بعد از آنکه همگی در حضور او جمع شدند، همۀ آنچه را که خداوند بر کوه سینا به او گفته بود به اطلاع آن ها رساند.
32Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them all of the commandments that Yahweh had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.
32و چون حرفش تمام شد روی خود را با نقابی پوشاند.
33When Moses was done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.
33و هر وقتیکه موسی در خیمۀ عبادت به حضور خداوند می رفت که با او حرف بزند، تا وقتیکه خارج میشد نقاب را از روی خود بر می داشت. بعد همه احکامی را که از خداوند می گرفت، او به نوبۀ خود به گوش مردم اسرائیل می رساندو مردم چهرۀ تابان او را می دیدند. و موسی تا زمانیکه باز برای ملاقات خداوند می رفت نقاب بر چهره داشت.
34But when Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out; and he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
34و مردم چهرۀ تابان او را می دیدند. و موسی تا زمانیکه باز برای ملاقات خداوند می رفت نقاب بر چهره داشت.
35The children of Israel saw Moses’ face, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
