1The hand of Yahweh was on me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of Yahweh, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.
1قدرت خداوند وجود مرا فراگرفت و روح او مرا در دره ای بُرد که پُر از استخوانهای خشک بود.
2He caused me to pass by them all around: and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and behold, they were very dry.
2او مرا به اطراف دره هدایت کرد و دیدم که استخوانهای خشک در همه جا افتاده اند.
3He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? I answered, Lord Yahweh, you know.
3به من گفت: «ای انسان خاکی، آیا این استخوانها می توانند دوباره زنده شوند؟» من جواب دادم: «ای خداوند متعال، خودت بهتر می دانی.»
4Again he said to me, Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, you dry bones, hear the word of Yahweh.
4بعد به من فرمود: «پیشگویی کن و به استخوانهای خشک بگو: ای استخوانهای خشک به کلام خداوند گوش بدهید که می فرماید:
5Thus says the Lord Yahweh to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.
5من به شما نَفَس می بخشم تا دوباره زنده شوید.
6I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.
6به شما گوشت و پَی می دهم و شما را با پوست می پوشانم. در شما روح می دمم تا زنده شوید. آنگاه می دانید که من خداوند هستم.»
7So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, an earthquake; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
7پس آنچه را که خداوند فرموده بود، پیشگویی کردم. ناگهان سر و صدائی برخاست و استخوانها به یکدیگر پیوست شدند.
8I saw, and, behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.
8در حالی که نگاه می کردم، دیدم که بر روی استخوانها گوشت و پَی پیدا شد و پوست، آن ها را پوشاند، اما هنوز جان نداشتند.
9Then he said to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.
9سپس خداوند به من فرمود: «ای انسان خاکی، به روح بگو که به امر من، خداوند متعال، از چهار گوشۀ دنیا بیاید و به بدن این کشته شدگان بدمد تا زنده شوند.»
10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
10من آنچه را که خداوند امر فرموده بود پیشگویی کردم و روح در بدن آن ها داخل شد و همگی زنده شدند و بپا ایستادند و گروه بزرگی بوجود آمد.
11Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.
11بعد خداوند به من فرمود: «ای انسان خاکی، این استخوانها قوم اسرائیل هستند. آن ها می گویند: ما مثل این استخوانها خشک شده ایم و دیگر امیدی برای ما باقی نمانده است و آینده ای نداریم.
12Therefore prophesy, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.
12پس پیشگویی کن و از جانب من، خداوند متعال، به آن ها بگو: ای قوم برگزیدۀ من، من قبرهای تان را باز می کنم و شما را از آنجا بیرون کرده به سرزمین اسرائیل بازمی گردانم.
13You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have opened your graves, and caused you to come up out of your graves, my people.
13ای قوم برگزیدۀ من، وقتی قبرهای تان را گشودم و شما را زنده کردم، آنگاه می دانید که من خداوند هستم.
14I will put my Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land: and you shall know that I, Yahweh, have spoken it and performed it, says Yahweh.
14من روح خود را در شما قرار می دهم و شما زنده می شوید و شما را در خاک و وطن تان ساکن می سازم. آنوقت می دانید که من، خداوند هستم و به وعدۀ که داده ام عمل می کنم. من، خداوند، این را گفته ام.»
15The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying,
15کلام خداوند بر من نازل شد:
16You, son of man, take one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
16«ای انسان خاکی، یک عصا را بگیر و بروی آن بنویس: «برای یهودا و قبایل متحد او»؛ بعد یک عصای دیگر را بگیر و بروی آن این کلمات را بنویس: «برای یوسف، عصای افرایم و قبایل متحد او.»
17and join them for you one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.
17هر دو عصا را نوک بنوک بهم چسپانده بصورت یک عصا بساز و در دستت بگیر.
18When the children of your people shall speak to you, saying, Will you not show us what you mean by these?
18بعد دستت را بلند کن که همه ببینند. وقتی قوم برگزیده ات بپرسند که منظور تو از این کار چیست. به آن ها بگو خداوند متعال چنین می فرماید: من قبایل اسرائیل و یهودا را با هم یکجا کرده مثل یک عصا در دست خود می گیرم.
19tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.
19سپس به آن ها بگو خداوند متعال چنین می فرماید: من قوم اسرائیل را از بین اقوام و از هر گوشۀ جهان جمع می کنم و به وطن شان بر می گردانم
20The sticks whereon you write shall be in your hand before their eyes.
20تا بصورت یک قوم واحد درآیند. یک پادشاه بر همۀ ایشان حکومت خواهد کرد و دیگر به دو قوم تقسیم نخواهند شد.
21Say to them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, where they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
21از آن ببعد دیگر خود را با بت پرستی و اعمال زشت و گناه آلوده نمی کنند. آن ها را از تمام آلودگی ها پاک می سازم و از گناه کردن باز می دارم. آنوقت آن ها قوم برگزیدۀ من می باشند و من خدای شان.
22and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all;
22بنده ام، داود پادشاه شان می شود و تحت رهبری یک پیشوا از تمام فرایض من پیروی کرده همه را بجا می آورند.
23neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
23در آن سرزمینی که به بنده ام، یعقوب بخشیدم و پدران شان در آن زندگی می کردند، ساکن می شوند و خود شان با فرزندان و نواسه ها و اولادۀ خود برای همیشه در آنجا بسر می برند و بنده ام، داود تا ابد بر آن ها پادشاهی می کند.
24My servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.
24با آن ها پیمان می بندم که تا ابد در صلح و امنیت زندگی کنند. آن ها را برکت می دهم، به تعداد شان می افزایم و عبادتگاه خود را در بین شان تا به ابد قرار می دهم.
25They shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.
25مسکن من در بین آن ها بوده من خدای شان و آن ها قوم برگزیدۀ من می شوند.وقتی عبادتگاه مقدس خود را برای همیشه در بین شان برقرار سازم، آنگاه اقوام دیگر می دانند که من خداوند هستم و قوم اسرائیل را برای خود برگزیده ام.»
26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore.
26وقتی عبادتگاه مقدس خود را برای همیشه در بین شان برقرار سازم، آنگاه اقوام دیگر می دانند که من خداوند هستم و قوم اسرائیل را برای خود برگزیده ام.»
27My tent also shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
28The nations shall know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in their midst forevermore.
