1You, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I am against you, Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:
1«ای انسان خاکی، علیه جوج پیشگویی کن و بگو خداوند متعال می فرماید: ای جوج، پادشاه مِاشِک و توبال، من دشمن تو هستم!
2and I will turn you around, and will lead you on, and will cause you to come up from the uttermost parts of the north; and I will bring you on the mountains of Israel;
2من ترا از راهی که می روی، بر می گردانم و از دورترین نقطۀ شمال بسوی کوههای اسرائیل می آورم.
3and I will strike your bow out of your left hand, and will cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand.
3کمان را از دست چپ و تیر را از دست راستت می اندازم.
4You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you, and all your hordes, and the peoples who are with you: I will give you to the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the animals of the field to be devoured.
4تو با سپاهیان و همراهانت بر کوههای اسرائیل کشته می شوی. اجساد تان را خوراک هر نوع مرغان شکاری و حیوانات وحشی می سازم.
5You shall fall on the open field; for I have spoken it, says the Lord Yahweh.
5همۀ تان در صحرا می میرید. من، خداوند متعال، این را گفته ام.
6I will send a fire on Magog, and on those who dwell securely in the islands; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.
6بر سرزمین ماجوج و مردمانِ کشورهای ساحلی که در آسودگی و امنیت زندگی می کنند، آتش می فرستم تا بدانند که من خداوند هستم.
7My holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; neither will I allow my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel.
7به این ترتیب، نام مقدس من در بین قوم برگزیده ام، بنی اسرائیل، معروف و مشهور می شود و دیگر نمی گذارم که نام پاک من بی حرمت گردد. آنوقت اقوام جهان می دانند که من خداوند، خدای مقدس اسرائیل هستم.»
8Behold, it comes, and it shall be done, says the Lord Yahweh; this is the day about which I have spoken.
8خداوند متعال می فرماید: «آن روز موعود که در باره اش پیشگویی کرده ام، فرامی رسد.»
9Those who dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the war clubs, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years;
9خداوند متعال می فرماید: «اهالی شهرهای اسرائیل از شهر بیرون شده تمام اسلحۀ تان را، از قبیل سپر، کمان، نیزه و گرز، برای سوختاندن جمع می کنند و از آن ها مدت هفت سال بصورت هیزم استفاده می کنند،
10so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall make fires of the weapons; and they shall plunder those who plundered them, and rob those who robbed them, says the Lord Yahweh.
10و از صحرا هیزم نمی آورند و به جنگل برای بریدن چوب نمی روند، زیرا آن ها برای آتش از اسلحۀ شما کار می گیرند. غارتگران خود را غارت می کنند و مال شان را بتاراج می برند.»
11It shall happen in that day, that I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel, the valley of those who pass through on the east of the sea; and it shall stop those who pass through: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it The valley of Hamon Gog.
11خداوند متعال می فرماید: «بعد از وقوع همۀ اینها، برای جوج و عساکرش هدیره ای در اسرائیل در «وادی عابرین» که در شرق بحیرۀ مُرده واقع است، تهیه می کنم. این قبرستان، راه عبور مردم را مسدود می سازد و نام آن وادی به «وادی سپاه جوج» می شود، زیرا جوج و سپاه او را در آنجا بخاک می سپارند.
12Seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land.
12مدت هفت ماه را در بر می گیرد تا مردم اسرائیل همۀ آن ها را دفن کنند و آن سرزمین را پاک سازند.
13Yes, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, says the Lord Yahweh.
13تمام مردم اسرائیل در تدفین آن ها شرکت می کنند. آن روز، برای قوم اسرائیل روز نیکنامی و افتخار می باشد و نام من تمجید و تجلیل می شود.
14They shall set apart men of continual employment, who shall pass through the land, and, with those who pass through, those who bury those who remain on the surface of the land, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
14در پایان مدت هفت ماه، عده ای تعیین می شوند تا به سراسر کشور اسرائیل بروند و جنازه های کسانی را که هنوز باقی مانده اند، دفن کنند تا آنجا بکلی پاک گردد.
15Those who pass through the land shall pass through; and when any sees a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, until the undertakers have buried it in the valley of Hamon Gog.
15در هر جائی که استخوان انسانی را بیابند، یک علامت در کنارش می گذارند تا قبرکن ها بیایند و آنرا در «وادی سپاه جوج» دفن کنند.
16Hamonah shall also be the name of a city. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
16(در نزدیک آنجا شهری بنام این سپاهیان می باشد.) به این ترتیب آن سرزمین دوباره پاک می شود.»
17You, son of man, thus says the Lord Yahweh: Speak to the birds of every sort, and to every animal of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood.
17خداوند متعال به من فرمود: «ای انسان خاکی، به تمام مرغان هوا و حیوانات وحشی بگو که از همه جا بیایند و از قربانی که برای شما تهیه کرده ام بخورید. این جشن بزرگ بر کوههای اسرائیل برپا می شود. به آنجا بروند، از گوشت قربانی بخورند و خون آن را بنوشند.
18You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
18گوشت جنگ آوران را بخورند و خون پادشاهان جهان را بنوشند که مثل قوچها، بره ها و گاوهای چاق و چلۀ باشان کشته شده اند.
19You shall eat fat until you be full, and drink blood until you are drunk, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
19آنقدر از گوشت بخورند تا سیر شوند و خون آن را آنقدر بنوشند تا نشئه گردند. این جشن را برای آن ها ترتیب می دهم.
20You shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, says the Lord Yahweh.
20بر سر خوان من بیائید و گوشت اسپها و سواران و جنگ آوران را بخورید. خداوند متعال فرموده است.»
21I will set my glory among the nations; and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid on them.
21خداوند فرمود: «به این طریق، جلال خود را به اقوام جهان آشکار می سازم و آن ها می بینند که دست قدرت من مردم را چگونه مجازات می کند،
22So the house of Israel shall know that I am Yahweh their God, from that day and forward.
22و از آن ببعد، قوم اسرائیل می دانند که من، خداوند، خدای شان هستم.
23The nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them: so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword.
23همچنین سایر اقوام پی می برند که چون قوم اسرائیل براه گناه رفتند و به من خیانت کردند، تبعید شدند. بنابران من از آن ها روگردان شدم و آن ها را به دست دشمنان شان سپردم تا همه را با ضرب شمشیر بکشند.
24According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions did I to them; and I hid my face from them.
24آن ها را مطابق زشتیها و گناهان شان جزا دادم و روی خود را از آن ها پوشاندم.»
25Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name.
25خداوند متعال فرمود: «اما حالا بر قوم اسرائیل رحم کرده آن ها را از اسارت نجات می دهم و حرمت نام مقدس خود را حفظ می کنم.
26They shall bear their shame, and all their trespasses by which they have trespassed against me, when they shall dwell securely in their land, and none shall make them afraid;
26وقتی آن ها به وطن خود برگردند و به زندگی آسوده و آرام شروع کنند، دیگر شرمنده نمی شوند و خیانتی را که در برابر من ورزیده اند از یاد می برند و هیچ کسی نمی تواند آن ها را بترساند.
27when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations.
27آن ها را از بین مردم و کشورهای دشمنان به وطن شان بازمی گردانم و بدین ترتیب بوسیلۀ ایشان به قومها نشان می دهم که من قدوس هستم.
28They shall know that I am Yahweh their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them to their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there;
28آنگاه قوم اسرائیل می دانند که من، خداوند، خدای شان هستم و من بودم که آن ها را در بین اقوام جهان تبعید کردم و بعد همه را جمع نموده به وطن خود شان بازآوردم و هیچ کسی را بجا نگذاشتم.من روح خود را بر آن ها می ریزم و دیگر از آن ها روبرنمی گردانم. من که خداوند هستم، این را گفته ام.»
29neither will I hide my face any more from them; for I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh.
29من روح خود را بر آن ها می ریزم و دیگر از آن ها روبرنمی گردانم. من که خداوند هستم، این را گفته ام.»
