¹Thus says Yahweh to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him, and strip kings of their armor; to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut:

¹خداوند کوروش را به پادشاهی برگزید و به او قدرت و نیرو بخشید تا کشورها را به تصرف خود درآورد و پادشاهان را از تخت شان سرنگون کند. خداوند دروازه های شهرها را برویش می گشاید و دیگر بسته نمی شوند.

²“I will go before you, and make the rough places smooth. I will break the doors of brass in pieces, and cut apart the bars of iron.

²خداوند به کوروش می فرماید: «من پیشاپیش تو می روم و کوهها را هموار می کنم، دروازه های برنجی را می شکنم و میله های آهنی را می بُرم.

³I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, Yahweh, who call you by your name, even the God of Israel.

³گنجهائی را که در جاهای تاریک پنهان اند و ثروتهای نهفته را به تو می دهم. بدان که من، خداوند، خدای اسرائیل ترا به نام می خوانم

⁴For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel my chosen, I have called you by your name. I have surnamed you, though you have not known me.

⁴تا به بندۀ من، یعقوب و قوم برگزیدۀ من، اسرائیل کمک نمائی. باوجودیکه مرا نمی شناسی، من ترا به نام خواندم.

⁵I am Yahweh, and there is none else. Besides me, there is no God. I will strengthen or, equip you, though you have not known me;

⁵من خداوند هستم و بغیر از من خدای دیگری وجود ندارد. در حالیکه تو مرا نمی شناسی، من به تو قدرت می دهم

⁶that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides me. I am Yahweh, and there is no one else.

⁶تا همۀ مردم از شرق و غرب بدانند که مانند من خدای دیگری نیست. من یگانه خداوند هستم و همتا ندارم.

⁷I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create calamity. I am Yahweh, who does all these things.

⁷من آفرینندۀ نور و تاریکی هستم. من خوبی و بدی را به ظهور می رسانم و من قادر به اجرای هر کاری می باشم.

⁸Distil, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness. Let the earth open, that it may bring forth salvation, and let it cause righteousness to spring up with it. I, Yahweh, have created it.

⁸ای آسمان، عدالت را مثل باران بفرست و ای زمین، باز شو تا از تو آزادی و عدالت نمو کند. من، خداوند، عامل این کارها هستم.»

⁹Woe to him who strives with his Maker— a clay pot among the clay pots of the earth! Shall the clay ask him who fashions it, ‘What are you making?’ or your work, ‘He has no hands?’

⁹وای بحال تو ای کسی که با خالق خود می جنگی. آیا کوزه با صانع خود مخاصمه می کند؟ آیا گِل به کوزه گر می گوید: «چه می سازی؟» یا بگوید: «تو مهارت نداری؟»

¹⁰Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What have you become the father of?’ or to a mother, ‘To what have you given birth?’”

¹⁰وای بحال کسی که به پدر و مادر خود بگوید: «چرا مرا به این شکل به دنیا آوردید؟»

¹¹Thus says Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “You ask me about the things that are to come, concerning my sons, and you command me concerning the work of my hands!

¹¹خداوند، قدوس اسرائیل و آفرینندۀ او می فرماید: «کسی حق ندارد که دربارۀ امور آینده و فرزندانم از من سوال کند و یا بگوید که من چه باید بکنم.

¹²I have made the earth, and created man on it. I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens; and I have commanded all their army.

¹²من زمین را ساختم و انسان را بر آن آفریدم. دست قدرت من آسمان ها را برافراشت و آفتاب، مهتاب و ستارگان به فرمان من هستند.

¹³I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will make straight all his ways. He shall build my city, and he shall let my exiles go free, not for price nor reward,” says Yahweh of Armies.

¹³من او را به عدالت برانگیختم و زمینه را برایش مساعد می گردانم تا بدون مزد یا پاداش شهر مرا آباد کند و قوم اسیر مرا آزاد سازد.» خدای قادر مطلق این را می فرماید.

¹⁴Thus says Yahweh: “The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you, and they shall be yours. They will go after you. They shall come over in chains; and they will bow down to you. They will make supplication to you: ‘Surely God is in you; and there is none else. There is no other god.

¹⁴خداوند چنین می فرماید: «ثروت مصر و مال التجارۀ حبشه را به تو می بخشم و مردم قد بلند سبا غلام تو می شوند. در غل و زنجیر در برابر تو زانو می زنند و با التماس به تو می گویند: «خدا با تو است، به غیر او خدائی نیست.»»

¹⁵Most certainly you are a God who hidden yourself, God of Israel, the Savior.’”

¹⁵ای خدای اسرائیل و نجات دهنده، یقیناً خدائی هستی که خود را پنهان می کنی.

¹⁶They will be disappointed, yes, confounded, all of them. Those who are makers of idols will go into confusion together.

¹⁶بت پرستان شرمنده و رسوا می شوند و کسانی که بت می سازند، خجل و رسوا می گردند.

¹⁷Israel will be saved by Yahweh with an everlasting salvation. You will not be disappointed nor confounded to ages everlasting.

¹⁷اما اسرائیل به نجات جاودانی از جانب خداوند نجات یافته و تا ابد سرافگنده و رسوا نمی شود.

¹⁸For thus says Yahweh who created the heavens, the God who formed the earth and made it, who established it and didn’t create it a waste, who formed it to be inhabited: “I am Yahweh; and there is no other.

¹⁸خدائی که آسمان ها و زمین را بوجود آورد و استوار کرد، دنیا را بی جهت نیافرید، بلکه آنرا برای سکونت مخلوقات خود ساخت. او می فرماید: «من خداوند هستم و بغیر از من خدای دیگری نیست.

¹⁹I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness. I didn’t say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, Yahweh, speak righteousness. I declare things that are right.

¹⁹من در خفا سخن نمی گویم و کلام من واضح و روشن است. به اولاده یعقوب وعدۀ بیجا نداده ام. من خداوند به صداقت و راستی حرف می زنم و آنچه را که حق است، بیان می کنم.»

²⁰“Assemble yourselves and come. Draw near together, you who have escaped from the nations. Those have no knowledge who carry the wood of their engraved image, and pray to a god that can’t save.

²⁰«ای بازماندگان اقوام که در جنگها کشته نشده اید، نزدیک بیائید و گِرد هم جمع شوید. آن مردمی که بتهای چوبی را با خود می برند و پیش خدائی که نجات داده نمی تواند، دعا می کنند، نادان هستند.

²¹Declare and present it. Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has shown this from ancient time? Who has declared it of old? Haven’t I, Yahweh? There is no other God besides me, a just God and a Savior; There is no one besides me.

²¹بیائید با هم مشوره کنید و دعوای تان را ارائه دارید. من، که خداوند و نجات دهندۀ عادل هستم و بغیر از من خدای دیگری نیست، همۀ این وقایع را از مدتها قبل پیشگوئی کرده بودم.

²²“Look to me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

²²پس ای همۀ مردم روی زمین، بسوی من بازگردید تا نجات یابید، زیرا من خدا هستم و خدایی دیگری نیست.

²³من به ذات خودم قسم خورده ام و به صداقت با زبان خود گفته ام و هرگز از گفتۀ خود بر نمی گردم که هر زانوئی در برابر من خم می شود و هر زبانی بنام من قسم می خورد.

²⁴They will say of me, ‘There is righteousness and strength only in Yahweh.’” Even to him shall men come; and all those who were incensed against him shall be disappointed.

²⁴مردم می گویند که عدالت و قدرت تنها متعلق به خداوند ما است. هر کسی که بر من خشمگین شود، خجل و رسوا می گردد.بوسیلۀ خداوند تمام قوم اسرائیل نجات یافته و او را جلال می دهند.»
