¹At that time, says Yahweh, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

¹خداوند می فرماید: «روزی فرا می رسد که من خدای تمام قبایل اسرائیل خواهم بود و آن ها قوم برگزیدۀ من.»

²Thus says Yahweh, The people who were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

²خداوند چنین می فرماید: «قومی که از شمشیر رستند در بیابان فیض یافتند. من آسایش برای اسرائیل مهیا کردم و از آن ها مراقبت نمودم.»

³Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.

³خداوند از جای دور به من ظاهر شد و گفت: «با محبت ازلی تو را دوست داشتم، بنابر این ترا با رحمت به سوی خود می کشانم.

⁴Again will I build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: again you shall be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.

⁴ای باکرۀ اسرائیل، من دوباره ترا استوار و پایدار می سازم. بار دیگر دایره به دست گرفته با نوای فرحت بخش موسیقی رقص و پایکوبی می نمائی.

⁵Again you shall plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy its fruit.

⁵دوباره تاکستانهای خود را بر کوهستان سامره غرس می کنی و از خوردن میوۀ آن ها لذت می بری.

⁶For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.

⁶بلی، روزی فرا می رسد که نگهبانان بر کوهستان افرایم صدا می کنند: «بیائید که با هم به سهیون پیش خداوند، خدای خود برویم.»»

⁷For thus says Yahweh, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish, praise, and say, Yahweh, save your people, the remnant of Israel.

⁷خداوند چنین می فرماید: «با آواز بلند به جهت یعقوب، سرآمد تمام اقوام، نغمۀ خوشی را سر کنید. به خداوند سپاس گوئید و اعلام کنید و بگوئید: «ای خداوند، قوم برگزیده ات را در پناه خود حفظ کن و بازماندگان اسرائیل را نجات بده.»

⁸Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, along with the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together: a great company shall they return here.

⁸من آن ها را از سرزمین شمال و از دورترین نقاط روی زمین جمع کرده باز می گردانم. حتی اشخاص کور و لنگ و زنان حامله و در حال زایمان را با آن ها به اینجا می آورم و گروه بزرگی به اینجا مراجعت می کند.

⁹They shall come with weeping; and with petitions will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

⁹گریان و دعاکنان می آیند و من ایشان را رهبری می کنم. آن ها را کنار جویهای آب به راه راست و هموار هدایت می کنم تا نلغزند، زیرا من پدر اسرائیل هستم و افرایم پسر اول من است.»

¹⁰Hear the word of Yahweh, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off; and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does his flock.

¹⁰ای اقوام جهان، به کلام خداوند گوش بدهید و آن را به نقاط دور جهان اعلام کنید و بگوئید: «همان خدائی که قوم اسرائیل را پراگنده ساخت، بار دیگر آن ها را جمع می کند و همانطوری که چوپان از گلۀ خود نگاهداری می نماید او هم از قوم برگزیدۀ خود مراقبت می کند.

¹¹For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

¹¹خداوند اسرائیل را آزاد می کند و از دست کسانی که از آن ها قویتر اند، نجات می دهد.

¹²They shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow to the goodness of Yahweh, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

¹²آن ها می آیند و بر کوه سهیون آواز خوشی را سر می دهند. احسان و لطف خداوند آن ها را از غله، شراب، روغن، گله و رمه بی نیاز می سازد. زندگی آن ها مانند باغی سیراب و شاداب می گردد و دیگر هیچگاهی افسرده و غمگین نمی شوند.

¹³Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

¹³دختران باکره از خوشی می رقصند و مردان پیر و جوان شاد و خندان می شوند. غم و ماتم آن ها را به سُرُور و شادمانی تبدیل می کند. به آن ها تسلی می دهد و بجای غم، خوشی می بخشد.»

¹⁴I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says Yahweh.

¹⁴خداوند می فرماید: «به کاهنان بهترین گوشت قربانی را می دهم و قوم برگزیدۀ خود را از نعمتهای فراوان برخوردار می سازم.»

¹⁵Thus says Yahweh: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.

¹⁵خداوند می فرماید: «صدائی از رامه بگوش می رسد، صدای ماتم و ناله های زار. راحیل برای فرزندان خود گریه می کند، زیرا آن ها را از دست داده است.»

¹⁶Thus says Yahweh: Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says Yahweh; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

¹⁶خداوند چنین می فرماید: «دیگر گریه نکن و اشک نریز، زیرا بخاطر اعمالت پاداش خوبی می گیری و فرزندانت از سرزمین دشمنان باز می گردند.

¹⁷There is hope for your latter end, says Yahweh; and your children shall come again to their own border.

¹⁷آیندۀ امید بخشی در پیشرو داری، زیرا فرزندانت دوباره به وطن خود بر می گردند.» خداوند فرموده است.

¹⁸I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf: turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.

¹⁸«من ناله و زاری افرایم را شنیدم که گفت: «تو مرا سرزنش کردی تا اصلاح شوم. من مانند گوسالۀ رام نشده ای بودم، اما حالا مرا بحضور خود بازگردان و بگذار که پیش تو بیایم، زیرا که تو خداوند و خدای من هستی.

¹⁹Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I struck on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.

¹⁹من از تو رو برگرداندم، ولی بعد پشیمان شدم. وقتی پی بردم که چه کاری کرده ام، خجالت کشیدم و ترسیدم و از اعمال شرم آوری که در جوانی مرتکب شده ام، شرمنده هستم.»

²⁰Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says Yahweh.

²⁰خداوند می فرماید: افرایم پسر عزیز و مایۀ خوشی من است. گرچه بر ضدش سخن می گویم، لاکن او را بیاد خواهم داشت و هر وقتی که بیادم می آید دلم از شفقت نسبت به او به هیجان می آید و بر او رحم می کنم.

²¹Set up road signs, make guideposts; set your heart toward the highway, even the way by which you went: turn again, virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.

²¹بر سر راه تان علاماتی نصب کنید، تا در بازگشت به وطن راه خود را بیابید. ای باکرۀ اسرائیل، به شهرهای خود برگرد.

²²How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? for Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.

²²ای دختر بی وفا، تا چه وقت سرگردان و معطل می مانی؟ من بر روی زمین چیز تازه و مخالفی بوجود آورده ام، مثل اینکه زن از مرد محافظت کند.»

²³Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring again their captivity: Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.

²³خداوند قادر مطلق، خدای اسرائیل می فرماید: «بعد از آنکه قوم اسرائیل را به وطن شان بازگردانم، در یهودا و شهرهایش می گویند: «ای مسکن عدالت، ای کوه مقدس، خداوند به تو برکت عطا فرماید!»

²⁴Judah and all its cities shall dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks.

²⁴در آن وقت مردم شهرهای یهودا با دهاتیان، دهقانها و چوپانها یکجا زندگی می کنند.

²⁵For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

²⁵جان خستگان را تازه می سازم و ناتوانان را سیر می کنم.

²⁶On this I awakened, and saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.

²⁶مردم همه به راحت می خوابند و خوابهای شیرین می بینند.»

²⁷Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of animal.

²⁷خداوند می فرماید: «روزی آمدنی است که سرزمین اسرائیل و یهودا را از انسان و حیوان پُر می سازم.

²⁸It shall happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says Yahweh.

²⁸همانطوری که یک وقتی آن ها را ریشه کن ساختم، ویران کردم، هلاک نمودم، از بین بردم و بر سر شان بلا آوردم، حالا آن ها را احیاء می کنم و استوار و پایدار می سازم. خداوند فرموده است.

²⁹In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.

²⁹آنگاه دیگر نمی گویند: «پدران غورۀ انگور خوردند و دندان فرزندان کُند شد.»

³⁰But everyone shall die for his own iniquity: every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.

³⁰اما هر کس جزای گناه خود را می بیند و هر کس که انگور ترش بخورد دندانش کُند می شود.»

³¹Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

³¹خداوند می فرماید: «روزی فرا می رسد که با مردم اسرائیل و یهودا پیمان تازه ای می بندم.

³²not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh.

³²این پیمان مثل پیمان سابق نیست که وقتی دست پدران شان را گرفته از مصر بیرون آوردم، با آن ها بستم. با اینکه خداوند می گوید من مثل شوهر از آن ها حمایت می کردم، ولی آن ها پیمان مرا شکستند.»

³³But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

³³اما خداوند می فرماید: «پیمان نوی که با قوم اسرائیل می بندم اینست: من احکام خود را بر دلهای شان می نویسم؛ من خدای شان خواهم بود و آن ها قوم برگزیدۀ من.

³⁴and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh; for they shall all know me, from their least to their greatest, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

³⁴دیگر حاجت نیست که به یکدیگر تعلیم بدهند و بگویند که مرا بشناسند، زیرا از خورد تا بزرگ مرا می شناسند. آنگاه من گناه شان را می بخشم و دیگر آن را بیاد نمی آورم. من، خداوند گفته ام.»

³⁵Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name:

³⁵خداوندی که در روز به آفتاب روشنی می بخشد، مهتاب و ستارگان را بوجود آورد تا شبهای تاریک را روشن سازند، امواج بحر را خروشان می کند، خداوند قادر مطلق نام دارد.

³⁶If these ordinances depart from before me, says Yahweh, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

³⁶پس خداوند می فرماید: «تا زمانی که نظام کائنات دوام می کند نسل اسرائیل هم برای همیشه بعنوان یک قوم باقی می ماند.»

³⁷Thus says Yahweh: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Yahweh.

³⁷خداوند چنین می فرماید: «اگر آسمان را بتوان اندازه کرد و تهداب زمین را پیدا نمود، آنگاه من هم نسل اسرائیل را بخاطر اعمال شان ترک می کنم.» این فرمودۀ خداوند است.

³⁸Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that the city shall be built to Yahweh from the tower of Hananel to the gate of the corner.

³⁸خداوند می فرماید: «وقتی می رسد که شهر اورشلیم دوباره آباد می شود. از برج حَنَن ئیل تا دروازۀ زاویه و از آنجا تا تپۀ جارِب و تا به جَوعَت.تمام وادی، جائی که مُرده ها را دفن می کنند و زباله را می اندازند، تمام مزرعۀ بالای نهر قِدرون و تا دروازۀ اسپ، در سمت شرق برای من مقدس می باشد. این شهر دیگر هرگز ویران و خراب نمی شود.»

³⁹The measuring line shall go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and shall turn about to Goah.

³⁹تمام وادی، جائی که مُرده ها را دفن می کنند و زباله را می اندازند، تمام مزرعۀ بالای نهر قِدرون و تا دروازۀ اسپ، در سمت شرق برای من مقدس می باشد. این شهر دیگر هرگز ویران و خراب نمی شود.»

⁴⁰The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to Yahweh; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever.
