1Of Moab. Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Woe to Nebo! for it is laid waste; Kiriathaim is disappointed, it is taken; Misgab is put to shame and broken down.
1خداوند قادر مطلق، خدای اسرائیل، در مورد موآب چنین می فرماید:
«افسوس بحال مردم نِبو، زیرا شهر شان ویران شده است. قریۀ تایم تسخیر شد و قلعه هایش را خراب کردند.
2The praise of Moab is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from being a nation. You also, Madmen, shall be brought to silence: the sword shall pursue you.
2شان و شوکت مواب از بین رفت. مردم در حِشبون نقشۀ ویرانی آن را کشیدند و گفتند: «بیائید این قوم را ریشه کن سازیم!» تو هم ای شهر مَدمین، در خاموشی مطلق فرو می روی، زیرا باشندگانت را شمشیر، پراگنده می سازد.
3The sound of a cry from Horonaim, desolation and great destruction!
3مردم حورونایم فریاد می زنند: «نابودی! شکستِ بزرگی!»
4Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
4موآب از بین رفت! کودکانش هم فریاد بر می آورند.
5For by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping shall they go up; for at the descent of Horonaim they have heard the distress of the cry of destruction.
5فراریان در حالیکه زار زار گریه می کنند، بر فراز تپه های لُوحِیت می روند و از سرازیری حورونایم فریاد غم و اندوه بگوش می رسد.
6Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
6«بگریزید! خود را از خطر نجات بدهید و در بیابان پناه ببرید!»
7For, because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you also shall be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
7تو ای موآب، به قدرت و ثروتت اتکاء کردی، بنابران، دشمن ترا تسخیر می کند. خدایت، کموش هم با کاهنان و بزرگانش تبعید می شوند.
8The destroyer shall come on every city, and no city shall escape; the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed; as Yahweh has spoken.
8تمام شهرها ویران می گردند و هیچیک در امان نمی ماند. وادی و دشت همه خراب می شوند، زیرا من، خداوند، اراده کرده ام.
9Give wings to Moab, that she may fly and get her away: and her cities shall become a desolation, without any to dwell therein.
9نمک برای خراب کردن مزرعه های موآب بگذارید، زیرا بزودی ویران می شود. شهرهایش خراب و غیر مسکون می گردند.»
10Cursed is he who does the work of Yahweh negligently; and cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.
10(لعنت بر آن کسی که در کارهای خداوند غفلت ورزد و شمشیر خود را به خون رنگین نسازد.)
11Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his lees, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remains in him, and his scent is not changed.
11«موآب از ابتدا آرام و آسوده بوده و هرگز به تبعید نرفته است. او مانند شراب دست نخورده ای است که از یک ظرف به ظرف دیگر ریخته نشده، به همین دلیل طعم و بوی آن تغییر نکرده است.
12Therefore behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will send to him those who pour off, and they shall pour him off; and they shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles in pieces.
12اما زمانی می رسد که من کسانی را می فرستم تا او را بر زمین بریزند، ظروف او را خالی کرده و خُمهایش را ذره ذره کنند.
13Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.
13آنگاه موآب از داشتن خدای خود، کموش خجل می شود، مثلیکه قوم اسرائیل از وجود بت خود در بیت ئیل شرمنده و سرافگنده شدند.
14How do you say, We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war?
14چطور می توانید بگوئید: «ما مردم قهرمان و جنگجویان شجاع هستیم؟»
15Moab is laid waste, and they are gone up into his cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, says the King, whose name is Yahweh of Armies.
15موآب و شهرهایش ویران می شوند و بهترین جوانانش بقتل می رسند. پادشاهِ که نامش خداوند قادر مطلق است چنین می گوید:
16The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hurries fast.
16بلا و مصیبت بزودی بر سر موآب می آید و زمان نابودی اش به سرعت فرا می رسد.
17All you who are around him, bemoan him, and all you who know his name; say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful rod!
17ای دوستان و همسایگان موآب و ای همه کسانی که با نام او آشنا هستید، برایش ماتم کنید و بگوئید: «قدرت و بزرگی او چگونه درهم شکست.»
18You daughter who dwells in Dibon, come down from your glory, and sit in thirst; for the destroyer of Moab has come up against you, he has destroyed your strongholds.
18ای باشندگان دیبون، از جایگاه جلالت فرود آی و بر زمین خشک بنشین، زیرا غارتگران موآب بر تو هجوم می آورند و قلعه هایت را ویران می کنند.
19Inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and watch: ask him who flees, and her who escapes; say, What has been done?
19شما هم ای ساکنین عروعیر، بر سر راه بایستید و تماشا کنید. از مردان و زنانی که فرار می کنند بپرسید که چه واقعه شده است.
20Moab is disappointed; for it is broken down: wail and cry; tell it by the Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.
20بگوئید که موآب خجل شده و شکست خورده است. گریه کنان و با فریاد در کنار دریای اَرنُون بگوئید که موآب خراب و ویران شده است.
21Judgment has come on the plain country, on Holon, and on Jahzah, and on Mephaath,
21زمان مجازات مردمی که در دشتها و شهرهای حولون، یَهصَه، میفاعت،
22and on Dibon, and on Nebo, and on Beth Diblathaim,
22دیبون، نِبو، بیت دِبلاتایِم،
23and on Kiriathaim, and on Beth Gamul, and on Beth Meon,
23قریۀ تایم، بیت جامول، بیت معون،
24and on Kerioth, and on Bozrah, and on all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
24قِریُوت، بُزره و تمام شهرهای دور و نزدیک موآب زندگی می کنند، رسیده است.»
25The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, says Yahweh.
25خداوند می فرماید: «قدرت موآب از بین می رود و بازویش می شکند.
26Make him drunken; for he magnified himself against Yahweh: and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
26موآب را مست سازید، زیرا علیه من تمرد کرده است. بگذارید که در قی خود غوطه بخورد و رسوا و مسخره شود.
27For wasn’t Israel a derision to you? was he found among thieves? for as often as you speak of him, you shake your head.
27ای موآب، بیاد داری که چطور قوم اسرائیل را مسخره می کردی؟ با آن ها چنان رفتار می کردی که گوئی با دزدان دستگیر شده اند.
28You inhabitants of Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock; and be like the dove that makes her nest over the mouth of the abyss.
28ای ساکنین موآب، شهرهای تان را ترک کنید، در بین صخره ها زندگی کنید و مانند فاخته ها که در شگاف سنگها آشیانه می سازند، در مغاره ها بسر برید.
29We have heard of the pride of Moab. He is very proud; his loftiness, and his pride, and his arrogance, and the haughtiness of his heart.
29موآب بسیار مغرور است و از غرور و هوای بلند و تکبر و خودبینی او همگی خبر دارند.
30I know his wrath, says Yahweh, that it is nothing; his boastings have worked nothing.
30من، خداوند از غرور و فخرهای بیجا و کارهای بیهودۀ او شنیده ام،
31Therefore will I wail for Moab; yes, I will cry out for all Moab: for the men of Kir Heres shall they mourn.
31بنابران، برای موآب گریه می کنم و برای مردم قیرحارَس ماتم می گیرم.
32With more than the weeping of Jazer will I weep for you, vine of Sibmah: your branches passed over the sea, they reached even to the sea of Jazer: on your summer fruits and on your vintage the destroyer is fallen.
32زیادتر از آنچه که برای مردم یعزیر گریستم، برای شما ای ساکنین سِبمه، گریه می کنم. شاخه های تاک شهر سِبمه تا به بحیرۀ مُرده و تا به یعزیر می رسید، اما حالا بر میوه های تابستانی و انگورهایت غارتگران هجوم آورده اند.
33Gladness and joy is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to cease from the wine presses: none shall tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.
33صدای خوشی و سُرُور از سرزمین حاصلخیز موآب بگوش نمی رسد. از چرخُشت ها دیگر شراب بیرون نمی آید و کسی انگور را با خوشحالی نخواهد فشرد. فریادی که شنیده می شود، فریاد خوشی نیست.
34From the cry of Heshbon even to Elealeh, even to Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even to Horonaim, to Eglath Shelishiyah: for the waters of Nimrim also shall become desolate.
34مردم حِشبون و اَلِعالَه فریاد می زنند و فریاد شان تا یاهز، صوغر، حورونایم و عِجلَت شَلیشه شنیده می شود. حتی جویهای نِمریم هم خشک شده اند.
35Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, says Yahweh, him who offers in the high place, and him who burns incense to his gods.
35من در موآب به زندگی کسانی که در بتخانه ها برای بتهای خود قربانی می کنند و خوشبوئی می سوزانند، خاتمه می دهم.
36Therefore my heart sounds for Moab like pipes, and my heart sounds like pipes for the men of Kir Heres: therefore the abundance that he has gotten is perished.
36دلم برای موآب و قیرحارَس همچون نی ناله می کند، زیرا تمام ثروتی را که به دست آورده بودند، از بین رفت.
37For every head is bald, and every beard clipped: on all the hands are cuttings, and on the waist sackcloth.
37همگی از غم و غصه موی سر و ریش خود را کندند، دستهای خود را خراشیدند و لباس ماتم پوشیدند.
38On all the housetops of Moab and in its streets there is lamentation every where; for I have broken Moab like a vessel in which none delights, says Yahweh.
38از سر بامهای خانه ها و میدانهای موآب صدای گریه و ماتم بگوش می رسد، زیرا من موآب را مانند ظرف بیکاره ای شکسته و ذره ذره کرده ام. خداوند فرموده است.
39How it is broken down! How they wail! How Moab has turned the back with shame! So shall Moab become a derision and a terror to all who are around him.
39ببینید چگونه ویران شده است و چگونه ناله می کند. موآب رسوا و مایۀ خنده و تمسخر و وحشت همسایگان خود شده است.»
40For thus says Yahweh: Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread out his wings against Moab.
40خداوند می فرماید: «قومی مانند عقابی با بالهای گشوده بر موآب فرود می آید.
41Kerioth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and the heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
41شهرهایش را تصرف می کند و قلعه هایش را ویران می سازد. در آن روز حال جنگجویان موآب به حال زنی می ماند که درد زایمان می کشد.
42Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against Yahweh.
42از قوم موآب دیگر نام و نشانی باقی نمی ماند، زیرا در برابر من کبر و غرور نشان داد.
43Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are on you, inhabitant of Moab, says Yahweh.
43ای مردم موآب، وحشت و چاه و دام در سر راه تان قرار دارد. خداوند فرموده است.
44He who flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he who gets up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring on him, even on Moab, the year of their visitation, says Yahweh.
44هر کسی که از دست وحشت بگریزد، در چاه می افتد و هر کسی که خود را از چاه نجات بدهد در دام گرفتار می شود، زیرا من روزی را برای مجازات موآب تعیین کرده ام. این گفتۀ خداوند است.
45Those who fled stand without strength under the shadow of Heshbon; for a fire is gone forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and has devoured the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
45فراریان خسته و درمانده به حِشبون پناه می برند، اما شهر حِشبون که زمانی سیحون پادشاه بر آن حکومت می کرد، در شعله های آتش می سوزد.
46Woe to you, O Moab! the people of Chemosh is undone; for your sons are taken away captive, and your daughters into captivity.
46وای بر حال قوم موآب! پیروان کموش هلاک شدند و دختران و پسران شان به اسارت برده شده اند.اما با اینهم من، خداوند، در روزهای آخر سعادت از دست رفتۀ موآب را اعاده می کنم.» در اینجا پیشگوئی در بارۀ موآب ختم می شود.
47Yet will I bring back the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says Yahweh. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
47اما با اینهم من، خداوند، در روزهای آخر سعادت از دست رفتۀ موآب را اعاده می کنم.» در اینجا پیشگوئی در بارۀ موآب ختم می شود.
