1Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before Yahweh, which he had not commanded them.
1ناداب و ابیهو، پسران هارون، هرکدام برخلاف امر خداوند آتشی را که مقدس نبود در منقل خود انداخته بخور را بر آن دود کردند.
2And fire came forth from before Yahweh, and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh.
2ناگهان آتشی از حضور خداوند پیدا شد و آن ها را سوختاند و هردو جابجا در حضور خداوند مُردند.
3Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what Yahweh spoke of, saying, ‘I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” Aaron held his peace.
3آنگاه موسی به هارون گفت: «خداوند چنین فرمود: هر کسی خدمت مرا می کند باید به مقام مقدس خدائی من احترام داشته باشد تا در پیش قوم جلال یابم.» اما هارون خاموش ماند.
4Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, “Draw near, carry your brothers from before the sanctuary out of the camp.”
4بعد موسی میشائیل و الصافان، پسران عزیئیل، کاکای هارون، را فراخوانده به آن ها گفت: «بیائید و جنازه های پسران کاکای تان را از این جای مقدس به خارج اردوگاه ببرید.»
5So they drew near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses had said.
5پس آن ها آمدند و از لباس اجساد گرفته طبق هدایت موسی آن ها را از اردوگاه بیرون بردند.
6Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, “Don’t let the hair of your heads go loose, neither tear your clothes; that you don’t die, and that he not be angry with all the congregation: but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Yahweh has kindled.
6بعد موسی به هارون و پسرانش، اَلِعازار و ایتامار فرمود: «موهای تان را پریشان و یخن خود را پاره نکنید، مبادا بمیرید و غضب خدا بر سر تمام قوم بیاید. اما قوم اسرائیل اجازه دارند که بخاطر این دو نفر که در اثر آتش خداوندی هلاک شدند عزاداری کنند.
7You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting, lest you die; for the anointing oil of Yahweh is on you.” They did according to the word of Moses.
7شما نباید از دروازۀ خیمۀ حضور خداوند بیرون بروید ورنه می میرید، زیرا روغن مسح خداوند بر سر شما است.» پس آن ها طبق هدایت موسی رفتار کردند.
8Yahweh spoke to Aaron, saying,
8خداوند به هارون فرمود: «تو و پسرانت وقتی به خیمۀ حضور خداوند داخل می شوید، هرگز شراب و یا مشروبات قوی ننوشید مبادا بمیرید. و این قانون برای همه نسلهای آینده یک فریضه است.
9“Drink no wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the Tent of Meeting, that you don’t die: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations:
9شما باید فرق بین مقدس و غیر مقدس و پاک و نجس را بدانید
10and that you are to make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean;
10و همه احکامی را که بوسیلۀ موسی به تو داده ام، باید به تمام قوم اسرائیل تعلیم بدهی.»
11and that you are to teach the children of Israel all the statutes which Yahweh has spoken to them by Moses.”
11بعد موسی به هارون و پسرانش، اَلِعازار و ایتامار گفت: «هدیۀ آردی را که بر آتش برای خداوند تقدیم شده بود گرفته از آن نان بدون خمیرمایه بپزید و در کنار قربانگاه بخورید، زیرا این هدیه بسیار مقدس است.
12Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, “Take the meal offering that remains of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, and eat it without yeast beside the altar; for it is most holy;
12شما باید آنرا در یک جای مقدس بخورید، زیرا که این هدیه ها سهم تو و پسرانت هستند از قربانی که بر آتش برای خداوند تقدیم شده است.
13and you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your portion, and your sons’ portion, of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire: for so I am commanded.
13اما تو و خاندانت اجازه دارید که سینه و ران را که بعنوان هدیۀ مخصوص برای خداوند تقدیم می شود بخورید و باید در یک جای پاک خورده شود، زیرا این هدیه به عنوان سهم تو و پسرانت، از قربانی سلامتی قوم اسرائیل داده شده است.
14The waved breast and the heaved thigh you shall eat in a clean place, you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they are given as your portion, and your sons’ portion, out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the children of Israel.
14و مردم باید ران و سینۀ قربانی را هنگام تقدیم چربی بر آتش، بیاورند و بعنوان هدیۀ مخصوص بحضور خداوند تکان بدهند. طبق فرمودۀ خداوند آن ران و سینه همیشه سهم تو و فرزندانت می باشند.»
15The heaved thigh and the waved breast they shall bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before Yahweh: and it shall be yours, and your sons’ with you, as a portion forever; as Yahweh has commanded.”
15وقتی موسی بسراغ بز قربانی گناه رفت، دید که سوختانده شده است، لهذا بر اَلِعازار و ایتامار قهر شد و گفت:
16Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burned: and he was angry with Eleazar and with Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left, saying,
16«چرا شما قربانی گناه را در یک جای پاک نخوردید؟ زیرا این قربانی مقدسترین قربانی ها است که به شما داده شده است تا گناه مردم اسرائیل کفاره شود.
17“Why haven’t you eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since it is most holy, and he has given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before Yahweh?
17چون خون آن بداخل جایگاه مقدس برده نشده بود، قرار هدایت من باید قربانی را در همانجا می خوردید.»
18Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary: you certainly should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.”
18هارون به موسی گفت: «باوجودیکه آن ها قربانی گناه و قربانی سوختنی را تقدیم کردند این واقعۀ هولناک برای من رُخداد، پس اگر گوشت قربانی را می خوردم، آیا خداوند از کار من راضی می شد؟»وقتی موسی دلیل او را شنید قانع شد.
19Aaron spoke to Moses, “Behold, this day they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before Yahweh; and such things as these have happened to me: and if I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been pleasing in the sight of Yahweh?”
19وقتی موسی دلیل او را شنید قانع شد.
20When Moses heard that, it was pleasing in his sight.
