1Now this is the history of the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Yahweh spoke with Moses in Mount Sinai.
1اینست نسب نامۀ هارون و موسی، در زمانی که خداوند در کوه سینا با موسی صحبت کرد. هارون دارای چهار پسر بنامهای ناداب (پسر اول)، ابیهو، اَلِعازار و ایتامار بود.
2These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2این چهار نفر برای خدمت کاهنی انتخاب و تقدیس شدند.
3These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest’s office.
3اما ناداب و ابیهو بخاطری که در بیابان سینا آتش غیر مجاز بحضور خداوند تقدیم کردند، کشته شدند و فرزندی از آن ها باقی نماند. پس تنها اَلِعازار و ایتامار در دوران حیات پدر خود با او کمک می کردند.
4Nadab and Abihu died before Yahweh, when they offered strange fire before Yahweh, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the presence of Aaron their father.
4خداوند به موسی فرمود: «قبیلۀ لاوی را بیاور تا آن ها بحیث معاونین هارون او را در امور کاهنی یاری نمایند.
5Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
5آن ها باید تحت ادارۀ او برای مردم اسرائیل در خیمۀ حضور خداوند امور مذهبی را انجام دهند و مسئول تهیه و مراقبت لوازم و اثاثیۀ آن باشند.
6“Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.
6و تنها هارون و پسرانش را به وظیفۀ کهانت بگماری و اگر هر کس دیگر به این وظیفه اقدام نماید، باید کشته شود.»
7They shall keep his requirements, and the requirements of the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.
7خداوند به موسی فرمود: «من لاویان را بعوض تمام پسران اولباری قوم اسرائیل برای خود انتخاب کرده ام و آن ها متعلق به من هستند.
8They shall keep all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the obligations of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
8زیرا بعد از آنکه تمام پسران اولباری مردم مصر را کشتم فرزند اولباری اسرائیل را، چه انسان و چه حیوان باشند، برای خود گرفتم. من خداوند هستم.»
9You shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons. They are wholly given to him on the behalf of the children of Israel.
9بار دیگر خداوند در بیابان سینا به موسی فرمود: «لاویان را بر حسب قبیله و خاندان شان بشمار و پسران یک ماهه و بالا تر آن ها را سرشماری کن.»
10You shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.”
10پس موسی قرار امر خداوند، از لاویان احصائیه گرفت.
11Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
11اینها نامهای پسران لاوی هستند: جرشون، قهات و مراری.
12“Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn who open the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine:
12پسران جرشون: لِبنی و شمعی.
13for all the firstborn are mine. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I made holy to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal. They shall be mine. I am Yahweh.”
13پسران قهات: عمرام، یزهار، حبرون و عُزی ئیل.
14Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
14پسران مراری: محلی و موشی.
15“Count the children of Levi by their fathers’ houses, by their families. You shall count every male from a month old and upward.”
15جرشون جد خانواده های لِبنی و شمعی بود. تعداد ذکور آن ها، از یک ماهه و بالا تر، به هفت هزار و پنجصد نفر می رسید.
16Moses numbered them according to the word of Yahweh, as he was commanded.
16اردوگاه آن ها در سمت غربی خیمۀ حضور خداوند بود.
17These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.
17سرکردۀ این دو خانوادۀ جرشونی ها اَلیاساف، پسر لایل بود.
18These are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.
18وظیفۀ آن ها مراقبت از خیمۀ حضور خداوند، پوششها، پردۀ دروازۀ دخول خیمه،
19The sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
19پرده های دیوار های دورادور خیمه و قربانگاه، پردۀ دروازۀ دخول حویلی و طنابها و خدمات مربوطۀ آن ها بود.
20The sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.
20قهات جد خانواده های عَمرام، یزهار، حِبرون و عُزی ئیل بود.
21Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites: these are the families of the Gershonites.
21تعداد ذکور آن ها، از یک ماهه و بالا تر، به هشت هزار و ششصد نفر می شد.
22Those who were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those who were numbered of them were seven thousand five hundred.
22اردوگاه آن ها در سمت جنوبی خیمۀ عبادت
23The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.
23و رهبر این خانواده ها الیصافان، پسر عزیئیل بود.
24The prince of the fathers’ house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.
24وظیفۀ شان مراقبت از صندوق پیمان خداوند، میز نان مقدس، چراغدان ها، قربانگاه، ظروفی که کاهنان در خیمۀ عبادت از آن ها استفاده می کردند، پردۀ بین جایگاه مقدس و کارهای مربوطۀ آن ها بود.
25The duty of the sons of Gershon in the Tent of Meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,
25اَلِعازار، پسر هارون رئیس رهبران لاویان بود و بر امور مستخدمین جایگاه مقدس نظارت می کرد.
26and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and around the altar, and its cords for all of its service.
26مراری جد خانواده های محلی و موشی بود.
27Of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.
27تعداد ذکور شان، از یک ماهه و بالا تر، به شش هزار و دوصد نفر می رسید.
28According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand six hundred, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary.
28سرکردۀ این دو خانواده صوری ئیل، پسر اَبِیحایَل بود. موضع اردوگاه آن ها در سمت شمال خیمۀ عبادت بود.
29The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the south side of the tabernacle.
29آن ها مسئولیت چهار چوب خیمۀ عبادت، پشت بندها، ستونها، پایه های ستونها و غیره اجزا و امور مربوطۀ آن ها را بدوش داشتند.
30The prince of the fathers’ house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
30آن ها همچنین از ستونهای دورادور حویلی و پایه ها و میخها و طنابهای خیمه مراقبت می کردند.
31Their duty shall be the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the screen, and all its service.
31موسی، هارون و پسرانش می بایست در پیشروی خیمۀ حضور خداوند، یعنی در سمت شرق آن خیمۀ خود را برپا کنند. آن ها برای مردم اسرائیل مراسم دینی را در جایگاه مقدس اجراء می کردند. بغیر از آن ها، اگر هر کسی دیگر بداخل جایگاه مقدس قدم می گذاشت، جزایش مرگ بود.
32Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, with the oversight of those who keep the requirements of the sanctuary.
32مجموع کل ذکور لاوی، از یک ماهه و بالا تر، که موسی و هارون قرار امر خداوند سرشماری کردند، بیست و دو هزار نفر بود.
33Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites. These are the families of Merari.
33خداوند به موسی فرمود: «از تمام پسران اولباری یک ماهه و بالا تر قوم اسرائیل احصائیه بگیر و نامهای شان را در دفتر ثبت کن. بجای آن ها پسران اولباری یک ماهه و بالا تر لاویان را برای خود انتخاب می کنم. من خداوند هستم. حیوانات لاویان هم بعوض حیوانات اولباری قوم اسرائیل به من تعلق دارند.»
34Those who were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand two hundred.
34بنابران موسی طبق امر خداوند پسران اولباری قوم اسرائیل را شمرد
35The prince of the fathers’ house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They shall encamp on the north side of the tabernacle.
35و تعداد آن ها از یک ماهه و بالا تر بیست و دو هزار و دوصد و هفتاد و سه نفر بود.
36The appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the tabernacle’s boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, all its instruments, all its service,
36خداوند خطاب به موسی کرده فرمود: «حالا پسران اولباری لاویان را بجای پسران اولباری اسرائیل و حیوانات شان را بعوض حیوانات اولباری مردم اسرائیل برای من وقف کن.
37the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, and their cords.
37چون تعداد اولباری های قوم اسرائیل دوصد و هفتاد و سه نفر بیشتر از تعداد لاویان است، پس تو باید آن تعداد را باز خرید کنی
38Those who encamp before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary for the duty of the children of Israel. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
38و برای هر فرد آن پنج مثقال نقره بگیر
39All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of Yahweh, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty-two thousand.
39و به هارون و پسرانش بپرداز.»موسی از امر خداوند اطاعت کرد و مبلغ بازخرید ایشان را که عبارت از یکهزار و سیصد و شصت و پنج مثقال نقره بود به هارون و پسرانش پرداخت.
40Yahweh said to Moses, “Number all the firstborn males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
40موسی از امر خداوند اطاعت کرد و مبلغ بازخرید ایشان را که عبارت از یکهزار و سیصد و شصت و پنج مثقال نقره بود به هارون و پسرانش پرداخت.
41You shall take the Levites for me (I am Yahweh) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the livestock of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the livestock of the children of Israel.”
42Moses numbered, as Yahweh commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
43All the firstborn males according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those who were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy-three.
44Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
45“Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock; and the Levites shall be mine. I am Yahweh.
46For the redemption of the two hundred seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, who exceed the number of the Levites,
47you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; after the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs):
48and you shall give the money, with which their remainder is redeemed, to Aaron and to his sons.”
49Moses took the redemption money from those who exceeded the number of those who were redeemed by the Levites;
50from the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred sixty-five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:
51and Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
