¹ای خدای که تو را ستایش می کنم، خاموش مباش!

²for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.

²زیرا شریران و فریبکاران دهان به بدگوئی من گشوده اند و دربارۀ من سخنان دروغ می گویند.

³They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.

³با سخنان نفرت انگیز دور مرا گرفته و بی سبب با من جنگ می کنند.

⁴In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.

⁴به عوض محبتِ من، با من دشمنی می کنند، لیکن من دعا.

⁵They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

⁵جواب خوبی های مرا با بدی می دهند و در عوض محبت، از آن ها کینه و نفرت می بینم.

⁶Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.

⁶شریر را بر دشمنم بگمار و ملامت کننده را در دست راست او.

⁷When he is judged, let him come forth guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.

⁷هنگامیکه به محکمه بیاید، مجرم به حساب آید و دعای او گناه شمار گردد.

⁸Let his days be few. Let another take his office.

⁸عمرش کوتاه گردد و مقام و منصبش به دیگری تعلق گیرد.

⁹Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

⁹فرزندانش یتیم شوند و زن وی بیوه گردد.

¹⁰Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.

¹⁰فرزندان او آواره شده و گدایی کنند و از خرابه های شان رانده شوند.

¹¹Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.

¹¹طلبکار در بدل قرض، تمام مال و دارائی او را ضبط نماید و بیگانگان حاصل زحمتش را تاراج کنند.

¹²Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.

¹²کسی نباشد که به او دلسوزی کند و نه بر یتیمانِ وی شفقت بنماید.

¹³Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

¹³نسل او قطع گردد و در طبقه بعد نام ایشان محو شود.

¹⁴Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Yahweh. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.

¹⁴خداوند شرارت پدرانش را فراموش نکند و گناه مادرش را نیامرزد.

¹⁵Let them be before Yahweh continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;

¹⁵عصیان آن ها همیشه مد نظر خداوند بماند تا نام و نشان آن ها را از زمین قطع نماید،

¹⁶because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.

¹⁶زیرا که شفقت را نشناخت، بر فقیر و مسکین جفا کرد و شخص شکسته دل تا دم مرگ از او آزار دید.

¹⁷Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.

¹⁷او که لعنت را دوست می داشت، به خودش رسید و چون که برکت را نمی خواست، از او دور شده است.

¹⁸He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.

¹⁸لعنت را مثل لباس در بر خود گرفت که مانند آب در بدنش و مثل روغن در استخوان هایش درآمد.

¹⁹Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.

¹⁹لعنت مثل جامه ای باشد که او را می پوشاند و همچون کمربندی که به آن همیشه بسته می شود.

²⁰This is the reward of my adversaries from Yahweh, of those who speak evil against my soul.

²⁰این اجرتی باشد از جانب خداوند برای ملامت کنندگان و بدخواهان جانم.

²¹But deal with me, Yahweh the Lord, The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;

²¹اما تو ای خداوند متعال و خدای من، به خاطر نام خود به من مدد فرما، چونکه رحمت تو نیکوست. مرا نجات ده،

²²for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.

²²زیرا که فقیر و مسکین هستم و دل من در اندرونم مجروح است.

²³I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.

²³مانند سایۀ زودگذر در حال فنا هستم و مثل ملخ رانده شده ام.

²⁴My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.

²⁴زانوهایم از روزه داشتن می لرزند و گوشتم آب می شود.

²⁵I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.

²⁵پیش مردم خوار و حقیر شده ام و وقتی مرا می بینند سر خود را می جنبانند.

²⁶Help me, Yahweh, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;

²⁶ای خداوند و خدای من، به من مدد فرما و بر حسب رحمت خود مرا نجات ده.

²⁷that they may know that this is your hand; that you, Yahweh, have done it.

²⁷تا بدانند که این است دست تو، و تو ای خداوند این را کرده ای.

²⁸They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.

²⁸ایشان لعنت بکنند، اما تو برکت بده. وقتی برخیزند، خجل شوند و اما بندۀ تو شادمان گردد.

²⁹Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

²⁹جفاکنندگانم به رسوایی ملبس شوند و خجالت خویش را مثل لباس بپوشند.

³⁰I will give great thanks to Yahweh with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.

³⁰خداوند را به زبان خود سپاس می گویم و در برابر گروه کثیری او را ستایش می کنم،زیرا که به دست راست مسکین می ایستد تا او را از دست کسانی که بر جان او فتوی می دهند برهاند.

³¹For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.

³¹زیرا که به دست راست مسکین می ایستد تا او را از دست کسانی که بر جان او فتوی می دهند برهاند.
