¹An oracle. The word of Yahweh concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

¹کلام خداوند، آن خدائی که آسمان ها را برافراشت، اساس زمین را بنا نهاد و به انسان روح بخشید، دربارۀ اسرائیل می فرماید:

²“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Judah also will it be in the siege against Jerusalem.

²«من اورشلیم را مثل یک جام شراب می سازم. اقوام اطراف او از آن می نوشند و سر گیچ می گردند. وقتی که اورشلیم را محاصره کنند، سایر شهرهای یهودا هم محاصره می شوند.

³It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.

³تمام اقوام جهان با هم متحد شده علیه اورشلیم می آیند، اما در آن روز من اورشلیم را در برابر همۀ اقوام مانند سنگ مُصادِم می سازم و هر کسی که آن را بردارد، به شدت زخمی می شود.»

⁴In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

⁴خداوند می فرماید: «در آن روز اسپهای دشمن را به وحشت می اندازم، چشمان آن ها را کور می کنم و سواران شان را به جنون مبتلا می سازم، ولی از یهودا مراقبت می نمایم.

⁵The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Yahweh of Armies their God.’

⁵آنگاه قبیلۀ یهودا در دل خود می گوید: «خداوند، خدای قادر مطلق، به اهالی اورشلیم قوت بخشیده است.»

⁶In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they will devour all the surrounding peoples, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.

⁶در آن روز قبیلۀ یهودا را مانند آتشی سوزنده در جنگلها و مثل شعلۀ فروزان در کشتزارها می گردانم. آن ها اقوام راست و چپ خود را معدوم می سازند، اما مردم اورشلیم در رفاه و آسایش زندگی می کنند.

⁷Yahweh also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.

⁷من اولتر یهودا را رها می سازم تا خاندان داود و اهالی اورشلیم در بزرگی و شکوه بالا تر از یهودا نباشد.

⁸In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh before them.

⁸در آن روز من، خداوند از مردم اورشلیم دفاع می کنم. ضعیفترین آن ها مثل داود می شود و اولادۀ داود مانند خدا و همچون فرشتگان خداوند آن ها را راهنمائی می کنند.

⁹It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

⁹هر کشوری که بخواهد بر اورشلیم حمله کند، من آن را نابود می سازم.

¹⁰I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me After “me,” the Hebrew has the two letters “Aleph Tav” (the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet), not as a word, but as a grammatical marker. whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

¹⁰من بر خاندان داود و ساکنین اورشلیم روح ترحم، دعا و زاری را می ریزم. آنهای که بر من نیزه زده اند، مرا خواهند نگریست و مثل کسی که برای یگانه فرزند خود عُزا می گیرد، ماتم خواهند کرد و چنان به تلخی اشک خواهند ریخت که گوئی پسر ارشد شان مرده است.

¹¹In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

¹¹در آن روز در اورشلیم ماتم عظیمی مانند ماتمی که مردم برای هددرِمون در درۀ مِجِدو گرفتند، برپا می شود.

¹²The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

¹²تمام مردم روی زمین عزادار می شوند. هر خاندان جداگانه ماتم می گیرد: خاندان داود، خاندان ناتان،

¹³the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;

¹³خاندان لاوی، خاندان شمعیو بقیۀ خانواده ها هر کدام، مردها علیحده و زنان شان علیحده، ماتم می گیرند.

¹⁴all the families who remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

¹⁴و بقیۀ خانواده ها هر کدام، مردها علیحده و زنان شان علیحده، ماتم می گیرند.
