1For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.
1シオンの義が朝日の輝きのようにあらわれいで、エルサレムの救が燃えるたいまつの様になるまで、わたしはシオンのために黙せず、エルサレムのために休まない。
2The nations shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory, and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of Yahweh shall name.
2もろもろの国はあなたの義を見、もろもろの王は皆あなたの栄えを見る。そして、あなたは主の口が定められる新しい名をもってとなえられる。
3You shall also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Yahweh, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
3また、あなたは主の手にある麗しい冠となり、あなたの神の手にある王の冠となる。
4You shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall your land any more be termed Desolate: but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for Yahweh delights in you, and your land shall be married.
4あなたはもはや「捨てられた者」と言われず、あなたの地はもはや「荒れた者」と言われず、あなたは「わが喜びは彼女にある」ととなえられ、あなたの地は「配偶ある者」ととなえられる。主はあなたを喜ばれ、あなたの地は配偶を得るからである。
5For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons shall marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you.
5若い者が処女をめとるようにあなたの子らはあなたをめとり、花婿が花嫁を喜ぶようにあなたの神はあなたを喜ばれる。
6I have set watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: you who call on Yahweh, take no rest,
6エルサレムよ、わたしはあなたの城壁の上に見張人をおいて、昼も夜もたえず、もだすことのないようにしよう。主に思い出されることを求める者よ、みずから休んではならない。
7and give him no rest, until he establishes, and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
7主がエルサレムを堅く立てて、全地に誉を得させられるまで、お休みにならぬようにせよ。
8Yahweh has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, “Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies; and foreigners shall not drink your new wine, for which you have labored:
8主はその右の手をさし、大能のかいなをさして誓われた、「わたしは再びあなたの穀物をあなたの敵に与えて食べさせない。また、あなたが労して得たぶどう酒を異邦人に与えて飲ませない。
9but those who have garnered it shall eat it, and praise Yahweh; and those who have gathered it shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.”
9しかし、穀物を刈り入れた者はこれを食べて主をほめたたえ、ぶどうを集めた者はわが聖所の庭でこれを飲む」。
10Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way of the people! Cast up, cast up the highway! Gather out the stones! Lift up a banner for the peoples.
10門を通って行け、通って行け。民の道を備えよ。土を盛り、土を盛って大路を設けよ。石を取りのけ。もろもろの民の上に旗をあげよ。
11Behold, Yahweh has proclaimed to the end of the earth, “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your salvation comes. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.’”
11見よ、主は地の果にまで告げて言われた、「シオンの娘に言え、『見よ、あなたの救は来る。見よ、その報いは主と共にあり、その働きの報いは、その前にある』と。彼らは『聖なる民、主にあがなわれた者』ととなえられ、あなたは『人に尋ね求められる者、捨てられない町』ととなえられる」。
12They shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of Yahweh: and you shall be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.
