¹Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.

¹その床の上で不義を計り、悪を行う者はわざわいである。彼らはその手に力あるゆえ、夜が明けるとこれを行う。

²They covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

²彼らは田畑をむさぼってこれを奪い、家をむさぼってこれを取る。彼らは人をしえたげてその家を奪い、人をしえたげてその嗣業を奪う。

³Therefore thus says Yahweh: “Behold, I am planning against these people a disaster, from which you will not remove your necks, neither will you walk haughtily; for it is an evil time.

³それゆえ、主はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはこのやからにむかって災を下そうと計る。あなたがたはその首をこれから、はずすことはできない。また、まっすぐに立って歩くことはできない。これは災の時だからである。

⁴In that day they will take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, saying, ‘We are utterly ruined! My people’s possession is divided up. Indeed he takes it from me and assigns our fields to traitors!’”

⁴その日、人々は歌を作ってあなたがたをののしり、悲しみの歌をもって嘆き悲しみ、「われわれはことごとく滅ぼされる、わが民の分は人に与えられる。どうしてこれはわたしから離れるのであろう。われわれの田畑はわれわれを捕えた者の間に分け与えられる」と言う。

⁵それゆえ、主の会衆のうちにはくじによって測りなわを張る者はひとりもなくなる。

⁶“Don’t prophesy!” They prophesy. “Don’t prophesy about these things. Disgrace won’t overtake us.”

⁶彼らは言う、「あなたがたは説教してはならない。そのような事について説教してはならない。そうすればわれわれは恥をこうむることがない」と。

⁷Shall it be said, O house of Jacob: “Is the Spirit of Yahweh angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”

⁷ヤコブの家よ、そんなことは言えるのだろうか。主は気短な方であろうか。これらは主のみわざなのであろうか。わが言葉は正しく歩む者に、益とならないのであろうか。

⁸But lately my people have risen up as an enemy. You strip the robe and clothing from those who pass by without a care, returning from battle.

⁸ところが、あなたがたは立ってわが民の敵となり、いくさのことを知らずに、安らかに過ぎゆく者から、平和な者から、上着をはぎ取り、

⁹You drive the women of my people out from their pleasant houses; from their young children you take away my blessing forever.

⁹わが民の女たちをその楽しい家から追い出し、その子どもから、わが栄えをとこしえに奪う。

¹⁰Arise, and depart! For this is not your resting place, because of uncleanness that destroys, even with a grievous destruction.

¹⁰立って去れ、これはあなたがたの休み場所ではない。これは汚れのゆえに滅びる。その滅びは悲惨な滅びだ。

¹¹If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood lies: “I will prophesy to you of wine and of strong drink”; he would be the prophet of this people.

¹¹もし人が風に歩み、偽りを言い、「わたしはぶどう酒と濃き酒とについて、あなたに説教しよう」と言うならば、その人はこの民の説教者となるであろう。

¹²I will surely assemble, Jacob, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the midst of their pasture; they will swarm with people.

¹²ヤコブよ、わたしは必ずあなたをことごとく集め、イスラエルの残れる者を集める。わたしはこれをおりの羊のように、牧場の中の群れのように共におく。これは人の多きによって騒がしくなる。打ち破る者は彼らに先だって登りゆき、彼らは門を打ち破り、これをとおって外に出て行く。彼らの王はその前に進み、主はその先頭に立たれる。

¹³He who breaks open the way goes up before them. They break through the gate, and go out. And their king passes on before them, with Yahweh at their head.

¹³打ち破る者は彼らに先だって登りゆき、彼らは門を打ち破り、これをとおって外に出て行く。彼らの王はその前に進み、主はその先頭に立たれる。
