1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

9Axaṭeṛ lfayda n liman-nwen, d leslak n teṛwiḥin-nwen.
10Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you,
10 Lenbiya caren-d ɣef wayen yeɛnan leslak i wen-d-ihegga Sidi Ṛebbi. Meyzen, qellben a d-afen lawan d wamek ara d-idṛu wayen i d-ixebbeṛ Ṛṛuḥ n Lmasiḥ yellan deg-sen ; axaṭer d Ṛṛuḥ-agi n Lmasiḥ i d-ixebbṛen ɣef wayen ara inneɛtab Lmasiḥ akk-d tmanegt ara d-yasen deffir leɛtab-agi.
11searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ, which was in them, pointed to, when he predicted the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that would follow them.
12Ițțubeggen-asen-d belli mačči i nutni, meɛna i kunwi i d-xebbṛen ayagi. D ayen i wen-d-xebbṛen tura wid ițbecciṛen lexbaṛ n lxiṛ, s tezmert n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen i d-ițțucegɛen seg igenni. Ula d lmalayekkat bɣant ad walint annect-agi.
12To them it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to you, they ministered these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
13Daymi, sǧehdet leɛqel-nwen, ur ɣefflet ara, ɛasset iman-nwen, sɛut asirem iṣeḥḥan di leslak ara wen d-ițțunefken asm' ara d-yuɣal Ɛisa Lmasiḥ.

15but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;
16Imi yura : Ilit teṣfam axaṭer nekk ṣfiɣ.
16because it is written, “You shall be holy; for I am holy.” Leviticus 11:44-45

17If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear:
18Teẓram belli mačči s idrimen neɣ s ddheb neɣ s lfeṭṭa ur nețdum ara i tețwacafɛem si yir tikli i wen-d-ǧǧan lejdud-nwen,
18knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,
19meɛna s idammen ɣlayen n Lmasiḥ, i gefkan iman-is d asfel am izimer ur nesɛi lɛib, ur nesɛi ccama.

21who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.
22Imi tessazdgem ulawen-nwen, teddam di tideț, akken aț-țḥemmlem seg wul atmaten-nwen, myeḥmalet ihi wway gar-awen s wul yeṣfan
22Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently:

24Akken yella di tira iqedsen : Amdan am leḥcic, + ccan-is meṛṛa am ujeǧǧig n lexla,+ leḥcic ițɣaṛ, ajeǧǧig iɣelli,+
24For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;
25ma d awal n Sidi Ṛebbi+ ițdumu i dayem+ . Awal-agi, d awal n lexbaṛ n lxiṛ i wen-d-ițțubecṛen.
25but the Lord’s word endures forever.” Isaiah 40:6-8 This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
