1Now I Paul, myself, entreat you by the humility and gentleness of Christ; I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you.
1Nekk Bulus i ɣef qqaṛen țsetḥiɣ m'ara iliɣ zdat-wen meɛna m'ara beɛdeɣ fell-awen weɛṛeɣ ɣuṛ-wen, bɣiɣ a kkun-nhuɣ s leḥnana d ṛṛeḥma n Lmasiḥ.
2Yes, I beg you that I may not, when present, show courage with the confidence with which I intend to be bold against some, who consider us to be walking according to the flesh.
2Di leɛnaya-nwen, ur iyi-ḥeṛṛset ara ad iwɛiṛeɣ m'ara iliɣ yid-wen ! Axaṭer lewɛaṛa-inu a ț-id-sbeggneɣ s lețkal yerna mbla lḥecma ɣer wid i ɣ-iḥesben nțeddu s lɛeqliya n ddunit.
3For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh;
3?-țideț d imdanen i nella, lameɛna ur nețnaɣ ara s leslaḥ s wayes țnaɣen yemdanen ;
4for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,
4axaṭer leslaḥ-nneɣ, mačči d wid i ssexdamen yemdanen lameɛna nețnaɣ s leslaḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi i gzemren ad hudden ula d leswaṛ iǧehden.
5throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;
5Nețṛuẓu awal n kra n wid yebɣan a d-kken sennig n tmusni n Sidi Ṛebbi ; nebɣa a nessiweḍ imdanen meṛṛa ad beddlen ixemmimen-nsen iwakken ad ḍuɛen Lmasiḥ.
6and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience will be made full.
6Asm'ara tessawḍem ṭṭaɛa-nwen ɣer lekmal-is, imiren a nɛaqeb kra n win iɛuṣan Sidi Ṛebbi.
7Do you look at things only as they appear in front of your face? If anyone trusts in himself that he is Christ’s, let him consider this again with himself, that, even as he is Christ’s, so also we are Christ’s.
7Walit tideț akken ilaq lḥal : ma yella win itḥeqqeqen belli d ayla n Lmasiḥ i gella, ilaq ad iẓer belli akken yella nețța d ayla n Lmasiḥ i nella ula d nukni.
8For though I should boast somewhat abundantly concerning our authority, (which the Lord gave for building you up, and not for casting you down) I will not be disappointed,
8?as ma zuxxeɣ s tissas i yi-d-ifka Sidi Ṛebbi, ur ssetḥaɣ ara axaṭer tissas-agi ur sseɣlayent ara, lameɛna ad ssemɣuṛent tijmuyaɛ n watmaten di liman.
9that I may not seem as if I desire to terrify you by my letters.
9Ur bɣiɣ ara aț-țɣilem belli bɣiɣ a kkun-sxelɛeɣ s tebṛatin-iw.
10For, “His letters,” they say, “are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech is despised.”
10Axaṭer llan wid yeqqaṛen : tibṛatin n Bulus qeṛṛḥent, sɛant tissas lameɛna m'ara yili gar-aneɣ ur yesɛi lhiba ur yesɛi tissas di lehduṛ-is.
11Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such are we also in deed when we are present.
11Win i d-yennan annect-a, ilaq ad iẓer belli akken newɛeṛ m'ara wen naru tibṛatin ara newɛeṛ daɣen m'ara nili gar-awen.
12For we are not bold to number or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But they themselves, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are without understanding.
12Ur nezmir ara a nesseɛdel neɣ a nmettel iman-nneɣ ɣer wid yețcekkiṛen iman-nsen. ?mettilen iman-nsen ɣer yiman-nsen, ḥesben ulac win yellan sennig-nsen ; xuṣṣen di lefhama.
13But we will not boast beyond proper limits, but within the boundaries with which God appointed to us, which reach even to you.
13Nukni, ur netzuxxu ara sennig wayen ilaqen, lameɛna nețzuxxu kan s ccɣel i ɣ-d-iwekkel Sidi Ṛebbi ; d ccɣel-agi i ɣ-issawḍen armi d ɣuṛ wen.
14For we don’t stretch ourselves too much, as though we didn’t reach to you. For we came even as far as to you with the Good News of Christ,
14Asmi i d-nusa ɣuṛ-wen, ur nɛedda ara tilas n ccɣel-nneɣ axaṭer d nukni i wen-ibeccṛen d imezwura lexbaṛ n lxiṛ n Lmasiḥ.
15not boasting beyond proper limits in other men’s labors, but having hope that as your faith grows, we will be abundantly enlarged by you in our sphere of influence,
15Ur nețzuxxu ara sennig wayen ilaqen, ur nețțawi ara ccan n lxedma n wiyaḍ lameɛna nessaram d kunwi ara yessimɣuṛen ccan n lxedma-nneɣ m'ara timɣuṛem di liman ;
16so as to preach the Good News even to the parts beyond you, not to boast in what someone else has already done.
16iwakken mbla ma nɛedda i tlisa n ccɣel-nneɣ , a nbecceṛ daɣen lexbaṛ n lxiṛ i tmura nniḍen, mačči d zzux ara nzuxx s ccɣel i xedmen wiyaḍ. Yura di tira iqedsen :
17But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:24
17 Win yebɣan ad izuxx, ad izuxx s wayen ixeddem Sidi Ṛebbi.
18For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
18Axaṭer mačči d win yețzuxxun s yiman-is i gețwaqeblen lameɛna d win yextaṛ Sidi Ṛebbi.
