Acts

16

1He came to Derbe and Lystra: and behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewess who believed; but his father was a Greek.
1Bulus d Silas wwḍen ɣer temdinin n Derba d Listra ; ufan dinna yiwen unelmad isem-is Timuti, baba-s d ayunani, ma d yemma-s n wat Isṛail, nețțat daɣen tumen s Lmasiḥ.
2The brothers who were at Lystra and Iconium gave a good testimony about him.

3Paul wanted to have him go out with him, and he took and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts; for they all knew that his father was a Greek.
3Bulus yebɣa ad yawi yid-es Timuti, daymi i s-iḍehheṛ ɣef ddemma n wat Isṛail yellan dinna, axaṭer ẓran akk belli baba-s d ayunani.
4As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered the decrees to them to keep which had been ordained by the apostles and elders who were at Jerusalem.

6When they had gone through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.
6Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen ur sen-iserreḥ ara ad ṛuḥen ad beccṛen awal n Sidi Ṛebbi di tmurt n Asya, dɣa zegren timura n Frijya d Galasya.
7When they had come opposite Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit didn’t allow them.
8Passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.
8Ɛeddan si tmurt n Misya, ṣubben ɣer temdint n Truwas.
9A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, “Come over into Macedonia and help us.”
9Deg iḍ, iweḥḥa-yas-ed Ṛebbi i Bulus, iwala yiwen umezdaɣ n Masidunya ibedd-ed ɣuṛ-es, ițḥellil-it ad iɛeddi ɣuṛ-sen ɣer tmurt n Masidunya a ten-iɛiwen.
10When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them.
10Mbeɛd ayen i s-d-iweḥḥa Sidi Ṛebbi i Bulus, nennuda amek ara nṛuḥ ɣer tmurt n Masidunya, axaṭer nefhem belli d Sidi Ṛebbi i ɣ-d yessawlen iwakken a nbecceṛ Lexbeṛ n lxiṛ di tmurt-nni.
11Setting sail therefore from Troas, we made a straight course to Samothrace, and the day following to Neapolis;
11Mi nerkeb di lbabuṛ si temdint n Truwas, nṛuḥ qbala ɣer tegzirt n Samutras. Azekka-nni nkemmel ɣer temdint n Nabulis.
12and from there to Philippi, which is a city of Macedonia, the foremost of the district, a Roman colony. We were staying some days in this city.
12Syenna nṛuḥ ɣer temdint n Filibus, illan țamdint tamezwarut n Masidunya i gesteɛmeṛ Ṛuman ; nesɛedda kra n wussan dinna.
13On the Sabbath day we went forth outside of the city by a riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer, and we sat down, and spoke to the women who had come together.
13Ass n westeɛfu, neffeɣ si temdint nṛuḥ ɣer rrif n wasif, nɣil a naf amkan anda țnejmaɛen i tẓallit. Nufa dinna kra n tilawin nnejmaɛent, neqqim iwakken a nemmeslay yid sent.
14A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one who worshiped God, heard us; whose heart the Lord opened to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul.
14Tella dinna yiwet n tmeṭṭut isem-is Lidya n temdint n Tyatir, teznuzu lkețțan azeggaɣ ɣlayen ; ț-țameṭṭut iḍuɛen Sidi Ṛebbi. M'akken i d-tesmeḥsis, Sidi Ṛebbi yeldi-yas ul-is iwakken aț-țerr ddehn is ɣer wayen i d-yeqqaṛ Bulus.
15When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and stay.” So she persuaded us.
15Mi tețwaɣḍes deg waman nețțat d wat wexxam-is, teɛṛeḍ-aɣ, tenna-d : ma twalam umneɣ seg ul-iw s Sidi Ṛebbi, eyyaw aț-țesɛeddim kra n wussan deg wexxam-iw. Dɣa teḥreṣ-aɣ iwakken a nekcem.
16It happened, as we were going to prayer, that a certain girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by fortune telling.
16Yiwen wass mi nteddu ɣer wemkan-nni n tẓallit, temmuger-aɣ-d yiwet n tqeddact ițwamelken, ț- țaderwict, tețțawi-d aṭas n lfayda i yemɛellmen i ɣef txeddem.
17Following Paul and us, she cried out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us a way of salvation!”
17Tettabaɛ-aɣ-d nekk d Bulus, tețɛeggiḍ teqqaṛ : Imdanen-agi d iqeddacen n Ṛebbi ɛlayen, țbecciṛen-awen abrid n leslak.
18She was doing this for many days. But Paul, becoming greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” It came out that very hour.
18Acḥal n wussan nețțat tettabaɛ deg-nneɣ, yuɣal Bulus yeɛya deg-s, yezzi ɣuṛ-es, yenna i uṛuḥani i ț-imelken : Umṛeɣ-k s yisem n Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, effeɣ si tmeṭṭut-agi ! Imiren kan, yeffeɣ-it uṛuḥani-nni.
19But when her masters saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.
19Imɛellmen-is mi walan dayen ur sen-d-tețțawi ara lfayda, ṭṭfen Bulus d Silas, zzuɣṛen-ten ɣer wezniq n temdint anda țnejmaɛen lɣaci zdat lḥukkam.
20When they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, “These men, being Jews, are agitating our city,
20Wwin-ten ɣer lḥakem n tmurt n Ṛuman nnan : Imdanen-agi-nni n wat Isṛail cewwlen tamdint-nneɣ.
21and set forth customs which it is not lawful for us to accept or to observe, being Romans.”
21Sselmaden lɛaddat ur nezmir a tent-neqbel neɣ a tent-netbeɛ nukkni yellan d iṛumaniyen.
22The multitude rose up together against them, and the magistrates tore their clothes off of them, and commanded them to be beaten with rods.

23When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely,

24who, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison, and secured their feet in the stocks.

25But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
25Di țnaṣfa n yiḍ, Bulus d Silas deɛɛun ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi, cennun, țḥemmiden-t, imeḥbas nniḍen smeḥsisen-asen.
26Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were loosened.

28But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, “Don’t harm yourself, for we are all here!”
28Lameɛna Bulus iɛeggeḍ s lǧehd is, yenna-yas : Eḥbes ! Ḥader aț-țenɣeḍ iman ik ! Aql-aɣ akk dagi.
29He called for lights and sprang in, and, fell down trembling before Paul and Silas,
29Dɣa aɛessas yumeṛ a s-d-ceɛlen tafat, yuzzel ɣer daxel n lḥebs ; yeɣli ɣer idaṛṛen n Bulus d Silas, ițergigi.

30Yessufeɣ-iten-id si lḥebs, yenna yasen : A ssyad-i, d acu i glaqen a t xedmeɣ iwakken ad țțusellkeɣ ?
31They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
31Rran-as : Amen s Sidna Ɛisa, aț-țețusellkeḍ s kečč s wat wexxam-ik.
32They spoke the word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his house.
32Dɣa beccṛen-as awal n Sidi Ṛebbi i nețța d wat wexxam-is meṛṛa.
33He took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes, and was immediately baptized, he and all his household.

35Akken yuli wass, lḥukkam n Ṛuman ceggɛen wid ara yinin i uɛessas n lḥebs : Serreḥ-asen i imeḥbas-nni !
36The jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent to let you go; now therefore come out, and go in peace.”
36Aɛessas ixebbeṛ Bulus yenna yas : Lḥukkam umṛen-iyi-d a wen serrḥeɣ ; tura tzemrem aț-țefɣem, ṛuḥet di lehna !
37But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly, without a trial, men who are Romans, and have cast us into prison! Do they now release us secretly? No, most certainly, but let them come themselves and bring us out!”
37Lameɛna Bulus yenna-yas : Amek ! Ewten-aɣ zdat medden s ujelkaḍ ( s ucelliḍ ) mbla ma nɛedda di ccṛeɛ nukni yellan d iṛumaniyen yerna skecmen-aɣ ɣer lḥebs tura bɣan a ɣ-ssufɣen s tuffra ? Awah ! A d-asen nutni s yiman-nsen a ɣ-serrḥen.
38The sergeants reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans,
