2They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”
2nnan-as : Di leɛnaya-k ! ansi i k-d-tekka lḥekma s wacu i txeddmeḍ annect agi ? Anwa i k-ț-id-yefkan ?
3He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:
3Yerra-yasen : A kkun-steqsiɣ ula d nekkini, init-iyi-d :
4 the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”
4anwa i d-icegn, d Ṛebbi neɣ d imdanen ?
5They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’
5Bdan țemcawaṛen wway gar-asen, qqaṛen : Ma nenna-yas d Ṛebbi, a ɣ-d yini iwacu ihi ur tuminem ara yis ?
6But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”
6Ma nenna-yas d imdanen, lɣaci akk a ɣ-ṛejmen axaṭer umnen meṛṛa belli Yeḥya d nnbi.
7They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.
7Dɣa nnan i Sidna Ɛisa : Atan ur neẓri ara anwa i t-id iceggɛen.
8Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
8Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : Ula d nekk ur awen-d-qqaṛeɣ ara ansi i yi-d-tekka lḥekma s wacu i xeddmeɣ annect-agi.
9He began to tell the people this parable. “A NU (in brackets) and TR add “certain” man planted a vineyard, and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.
9Dɣa yewwi-d lemtel-agi i lɣaci : Yiwen wergaz yeẓẓa tafeṛṛant ( iger n tẓurin ) issekra-ț i ixemmasen, iṛuḥ ɣer lɣeṛba, iɛeṭṭel dinna.
10 At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty.
10Mi d-yewweḍ lweqt n tẓurin, iceggeɛ ɣuṛ-sen aqeddac iwakken a s-d-fken amur-is ; lameɛna ixemmasen-nni wwten-t, rrant-id ifassen d ilmawen.
11 He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
11Iceggeɛ daɣen aqeddac nniḍen, lameɛna ula d nețța ewten-t, regmen-t, rrant-id ifassen d ilmawen.
12 He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him, and threw him out.
12Iceggeɛ-asen daɣen wis tlata, jerḥen-t rnan qecɛen-t-id syenna.
13 The lord of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’
13Amɛellem-nni n tfeṛṛant yenna : « d acu ara xedmeɣ tura ? A sen ceggɛeɣ mmi ameɛzuz , ahat nețța a t-qadṛen ! »
14 “But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’
14Lameɛna ixemmasen nni mi t-walan, mcawaṛen wway gar asen nnan : « ataya win ara iweṛten ! Kkret a t-nenneɣ iwakken aț-țuɣal tfeṛṛant d ayla-nneɣ. »
15 They threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?
15?eggṛen-t beṛṛa n tfeṛṛant, nɣan-t. D acu ara sen-yexdem tura bab n tfeṛṛant-agi ?
16 He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When they heard it, they said, “May it never be!”
16A d-yas ad ineɣ ixemmasen-nni, ad yefk tafeṛṛant i wiyaḍ. Lɣaci mi slan annect-agi, nnan : A ɣ-imneɛ Ṛebbi !
17But he looked at them, and said, “Then what is this that is written, ‘The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the chief cornerstone?’ Psalm 118:22
17Lameɛna Sidna Ɛisa imuqel-iten yenna : D acu i d lmeɛna n wawal-agi yuran : adɣaɣ i ḍeggṛen wid ibennun, yuɣal d win yeṭṭfen lebni .
18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whomever it falls on to dust.”
18 Kra n win ara yeɣlin ɣef wedɣaɣ-agi ad yeṛṛez ; ma d win i ɣef ara d-yeɣli, ad ițwanɣed.
19The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people—for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.
19Lɛulama n ccariɛa d imeqqranen n lmuqedmin țqelliben a t-ṭṭfen imiren kan, axaṭer fehmen fell-asen i d-yenna lemtel-agi, lameɛna uggaden lɣaci.
20They watched him, and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
20Bdan țɛassan Sidna Ɛisa iwakken ma yeɣli-d deg wawal a t-ṭṭfen. Fkan tajɛelt i kra n yemdanen yerran iman-nsen d wid iḍuɛen Ṛebbi iwakken a t-zenzen ɣer lḥakem n tmurt.
21They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.
21Steqsan-t ihi s imeslayen-agi : A Sidi, neẓra ayen i d-teqqaṛeḍ d wayen i tesselmadeḍ d lḥeqq, yerna ur txeddmeḍ ara lxilaf ger yemdanen, tesselmadeḍ abrid n Ṛebbi s tideț.
22Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
22Ini-yaɣ-d ma d leḥlal a nxelleṣ tabzert i Qayṣer (isteɛmṛen tamurt)?
23But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test me?
23Sidna Ɛisa ifaqen i tḥila-nsen, yerra-yasen : Seknet-iyi-d aṣurdi.
24 Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They answered, “Caesar’s.”
24Udem-agi d wayen yuran ɣef wuṣuṛdi-agi wi ten-ilan ? Rran-as : D udem n Qayṣer!
25He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
25Dɣa yenna-yasen : Ihi erret i Qayṣer ayen yellan n Qayṣer, terrem i Ṛebbi ayen yellan n Ṛebbi.
26They weren’t able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer, and were silent.
26Wehmen s wayen i sen-d-yerra dɣa ssusmen irkul, axaṭer ur ufin ara amek ara t-id-sseɣlin deg wawal zdat lɣaci.
27Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.
27Kra n isaduqiyen ur nețțamen ara s ḥeggu n lmegtin, qeṛṛben-d ɣer Sidna Ɛisa, steqsan-t nnan-as :
28They asked him, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up children for his brother.
28A Sidi, atah wayen i d-teqqaṛ ccariɛa n Musa : Ma yemmut yiwen wergaz yeǧǧa-d tameṭṭut-is mbla dderya, ilaq gma-s ad yaɣ tameṭṭut-nni, ad yesɛu yid-es dderya iwakken a d-ixlef isem n gma-s yemmuten.
29There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.
29Ihi llan sebɛa watmaten : amezwaru yezweǧ, yemmut ur d yeǧǧi dderya.
30The second took her as wife, and he died childless.
30Wis sin yuɣ taǧǧalt-nni, yemmut ula d nețța.
31The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.
31Yuɣ-iț daɣen wis tlata, akken armi d wis sebɛa ; mmuten meṛṛa, yiwen ur d-yeǧǧi yid-es dderya.
32Afterward the woman also died.
32?er taggara temmut tmeṭṭut-nni ula d nețțat.
33Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”
33Ass n ḥeggu n lmegtin, anwa ara ț-yesɛun ț-țameṭṭut-is imi ț-uɣen yiwen yiwen di sebɛa yid-sen ?
34Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry, and are given in marriage.
34Sidna Ɛisa yerra-yasen : Irgazen akk-d tilawin n ddunit agi țemyezwaǧen wway gar-asen.
35 But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage.
35Lameɛna wid ara yuklalen a d-ḥyun si lmut ɣer tudert n dayem, ur țemyezwaǧen ara,
36 For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels, and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.
36axaṭer ur țțuɣalen ara ad mmten, ad ilin am lmalayekkat ; Sidi Ṛebbi a ten-yerr d arraw-is imi i d-ḥyan si ger lmegtin.
37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Exodus 3:6
37?ef wayen yeɛnan ḥeggu n lmegtin ula d nnbi Musa ihḍeṛ-ed fell-as mi gessawel i Sidi Ṛebbi zdat udarnu iṛeqqen : a Ṛebbi, Illu n Ibṛahim, Illu n Isḥaq, Illu n Yeɛqub.
38 Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”
38Ṛebbi mačči d Ṛebbi n wid yemmuten meɛna d Ṛebbi n wid yeddren imi ɣuṛ-es ddren irkulli ɣas akken mmuten.
39Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”
39Kra n imusnawen n ccariɛa neṭqen-d nnan-as : A Sidi, d awal n lɛali i d-tenniḍ.
40They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.
40Kukran a s-rnun ula d yiwen usteqsi.
41He said to them, “Why do they say that the Christ is David’s son?
41Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : Amek armi qqaṛen Lmasiḥ d mmi-s n Dawed ?
42 David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,
42Dawed s yiman-is yenna-d di tektabt n ?abur : Sidi Ṛebbi yenna i Ssid-iw : qqim aț-țḥekmeḍ ɣer tama- w tayeffust
43 until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’ Psalm 110:1
43 alamma rriɣ iɛdawen-ik seddaw iḍaṛṛen-ik.
44 “David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?”
44Ma yella Dawed isemma i Lmasiḥ « Sidi », amek i gezmer ad yili d mmi-s ?
45In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,
45Lɣaci meṛṛa llan smeḥsisen, Sidna Ɛisa yenna i inelmaden-is :
46 “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;
46?adret iman-nwen ɣef lɛulama n ccariɛa i gḥemmlen ad țḥewwisen s ijellaben iɣezfanen, ḥemmlen ad țsellimen fell-asen yemdanen di leswaq, ad ṭṭfen imukan imezwura di leǧwameɛ d imukan lɛali di tmeɣṛa.
47 who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these will receive greater condemnation.”
47Tețțen ayla n tuǧǧal, ssiɣzifen taẓallit iwakken a ten-id-walin wiyaḍ. ?ef wannect-agi, Sidi Ṛebbi ihegga-yasen-d lɛiqab d ameqqran.
