1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. NU omits “who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”
1Ihi ass n lḥisab ulac lɛiqab ɣef wid yumnen s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ.
2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
2Axaṭer tazmert n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, tin i d-ifkan tudert i wid yumnen s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, tsellek-iyi-d si tezmert n ddnub akk-d lmut.
3For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;
3Ccariɛa n Musa ur tezmir ara aț-țeɣleb ddnub axaṭer ṭṭbiɛa-nneɣ tekkes-as tazmert. Ayen akken ur tezmir ara ccariɛa n Musa a t texdem, d ayen i gexdem Sidi Ṛebbi mi d-iceggeɛ Mmi-s s ṣṣifa n wemdan, i d-yusan s lǧețța am tin n yemdanen yellan meṛṛa d imednuben, iwakken ad yefk iman-is d asfel s wayes ara yeḥkem ɣef ddnub i ten-izedɣen.
4that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
4S wakka ihi ara yețwakkemmel deg-nneɣ wayen i d-tenna ccariɛa n Musa, nukni yețɛicin s tezmert n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen mačči s ṭṭbiɛa-nneɣ.
5For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
5Wid yețɛicin s ṭṭbiɛa n wemdan țqelliben kan ɣef wayen yeɛnan lebɣi n wemdan, ma d wid ițɛicin s Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen țqelliben ɣef wayen yeɛnan lebɣi n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen.
6For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;
6Wid ițɛicin s ṭṭbiɛa n wemdan țeddun ɣer lmut, ma d wid ițɛicin s lebɣi n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen țeddun ɣer tudert d lehna.
7because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.
7Axaṭer wid ittabaɛen lebɣi n wemdan uɣalen d iɛdawen n Sidi Ṛebbi imi ur ḍuɛen ara ccariɛa-ines, axaṭer ṭṭbiɛa n wemdan ur tezmir ara aț-țḍuɛ ccariɛa n Sidi Ṛebbi.
8Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
8Wid temlek ṭṭbiɛa-nsen ulamek ara ɛeǧben i Sidi Ṛebbi.
9But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
9Ma d kunwi mačči s ṭṭbiɛa n wemdan i tețțeddum lameɛna tețțeddum s lebɣi n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen axaṭer Ṛṛuḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi izdeɣ deg-wen. Win deg ur yezdiɣ ara Ṛṛuḥ n Lmasiḥ ur yelli ara d ayla-s.
10If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
10Ma yella Ṛṛuḥ n Lmasiḥ deg-wen, ɣas akken lǧețța-nwen aț-țemmet ɣef ddemma n ddnub, ṛṛuḥ-nwen ad yidir ɣef ddemma n lḥeqq n Sidi Ṛebbi.
11But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
11Ma yezdeɣ deg-wen Ṛṛuḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi i d-yesseḥyan Sidna Ɛisa si ger lmegtin, win i d-yesseḥyan Sidna Ɛisa si ger lmegtin, yezmer daɣen s Ṛṛuḥ-is izedɣen deg-wen, a d-yerr tudert i lǧețța-nwen ara yemten.
12So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
12S wakka ihi ay atmaten lebɣi n ṭṭbiɛa-nneɣ ur yeṭebbiṛ ara fell-aɣ tura iwakken a nexdem lebɣi-ines.
13For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
13Ma yella tɛacem s lebɣi n ṭṭbiɛa nwen atan aț-țemtem, lameɛna ma tɣelbem lebɣi n ṭṭbiɛa-nwen s Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, aț-țidirem.
14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.
14Axaṭer wid ițeddun s Ṛṛuḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi, d nutni i d arraw n Ṛebbi.
15For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven. ! Father!”
15Ṛṛuḥ i wen-d-ițțunefken mačči d Ṛṛuḥ ara kkun-irren d aklan iwakken aț-țɛicem di tugdi, meɛna d Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen i kkun-irran d arraw n Ṛebbi, yis i nezmer a nessiwel i Sidi Ṛebbi : « A baba-tneɣ ! »
16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;
16D Ṛṛuḥ n Sidi Ṛebbi s yiman-is i d-iḥeqqeqen deg wulawen-nneɣ belli nuɣal d arraw n Sidi Ṛebbi.
17and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
17Ihi ma yella d arraw-is i nella, d nukni daɣen ara iweṛten : a newṛet ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi nukni akk-d Lmasiḥ, axaṭer ma nenɛețțab yid-es, a nili daɣen yid-es di lɛaḍima-ines.
18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.
18Ihi leɛtab i nesɛedday tura, ur nezmir ara a t-nmettel ɣer lɛaḍima ara d-ibeggen Sidi Ṛebbi deg-nneɣ.
19For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
19Taxelqit meṛṛa tḥar melmi ara d-banen warraw n Sidi Ṛebbi.
20For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
20Axaṭer taxelqit teɣli seddaw leḥkum n lbaṭel, mačči s lebɣi-ines, lameɛna s lebɣi n win i ț-yesseɣlin.
21that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
21Meɛna taxelqit-agi tessaram aț-țețwasellek si twaɣit i ț-isfesden, iwakken aț-țekki di lɛaḍima n tlelli n warraw n Sidi Ṛebbi.
22For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.
22Neẓra tura belli taxelqit meṛṛa tenɛețțab, tețnazaɛ am tmeṭṭut yeṭṭfen addud.
23Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.
23Mačči ț-țaxelqit kan, meɛna ula d nukni yesɛan Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, yellan d amur amezwaru n tikciwin i ɣ-d-iwɛed Sidi Ṛebbi, nețnazaɛ deg iman-nneɣ, nețṛaǧu a nban s tideț d arraw n Ṛebbi i nella m'ara icafeɛ deg-nneɣ s lekmal.
24For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees?
24Axaṭer leslak nneɣ d ayen i nessaram ; ma yella nesɛa ayen i nessaram, ayagi mačči d asirem : anwa ara yessirmen ayen yesɛa ?
25But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.
25Meɛna ma nessaram ayen ur nesɛi, nețṛaǧu-t s ṣṣbeṛ.
26In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.
26Akken daɣen Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen ițțas-ed a ɣ iɛiwen nukni ixuṣṣen di tezmert, axaṭer ur nessin ara a neẓẓal akken ilaq ; lameɛna Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen s yiman-is ideɛɛu ɣer Ṛebbi ɣef ddemma-nneɣ, s nnehtat iwumi ur yezmir yimi a tent-id-yini s imeslayen ;
27He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.
27imiren Sidi Ṛebbi yessnen ulawen, yeẓra d acu i gessutur Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, imi s lebɣi n Sidi Ṛebbi i gdeɛɛu ɣef wid yextaṛ.
28We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
28Neẓra belli Sidi Ṛebbi issufuɣ ɣer lxiṛ ayen akk i d-ideṛṛun d wid i t-iḥemmlen, wid yextaṛ s lebɣi-ines.
29For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”
29Axaṭer wid akk i gextaṛ Sidi Ṛebbi si zik, iqsed si tazwara a ten-yerr am Mmi-s iwakken Mmi-s agi ad yili d amenzu n waṭas n watmaten.
30Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.
30Wid i gextaṛ Sidi Ṛebbi si zik, d wid iwumi i d-issawel ; wid-nni iwumi yessawel yerra-ten d iḥeqqiyen zdat-es, wid yerra d iḥeqqiyen yefka-yasen amkan di lɛaḍima-s.
31What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
31Acu ara d-nernu ihi ? Anwa ara ɣ-izemren ma yella Sidi Ṛebbi yid-nneɣ ?
32He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
32Nețța iqeblen ad isebbel Mmi-s eɛzizen, yefka-t d asfel fell-aɣ meṛṛa, amek ur ɣ-d-yețțak ara daɣen kullec yid-es ?
33Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.
33Anwa ara icetkin ɣef wid yextaṛ Ṛebbi ? D Sidi Ṛebbi s yiman-is i ten-iḥesben d iḥeqqiyen !
34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
34Anwa i gzemren ad iḥkem fell asen ? Ɛisa Lmasiḥ d win yemmuten yerna iḥya-d si ger lmegtin, yuli ɣer tama tayeffust n Sidi Ṛebbi iwakken ad icafeɛ fell-aɣ !
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
35Anwa i gzemren a ɣ-ifṛeq ɣef leḥmala n Lmasiḥ ? Eɛni d ddiq neɣ d ccedda, d leqheṛ neɣ d laẓ, d leɛra neɣ d ayen yessaggaden neɣ d ajenwi ?
36Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Psalm 44:22
36Am akken yura di tektabt n ?abur : ?ef ddemma-inek a Sidi Ṛebbi i nețqabal lmut mkul ass, ḥesben-aɣ am ulli i țțawin ɣer tmezliwt.
37No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
37Meɛna deg wannect-agi meṛṛa d nukni i gɣelben s Lmasiḥ i ɣ- iḥemmlen.
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
38Axaṭer țekleɣ belli ulac d acu i gzemren a ɣ-ifṛeq ɣef leḥmala n Sidi Ṛebbi s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ Ssid-nneɣ : ama d lmut neɣ ț-țudert, ama d lmalayekkat, ama ț-țigeldiwin, ama d leḥwayeǧ n tura neɣ ț-țid ara d-yasen, ama d ayen ɛlayen, ama d ayen lqayen, ama ț-țizmar n igenwan neɣ ț-țid n lqaɛa neɣ ayen akk yellan di txelqit.
39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
