2

1Now Solomon purposed to build a house for the name of Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.
1Li rey Salomón quixye nak tixyîb jun li templo re teßxlokßoni cuiß li Kâcuaß ut tixyîb ajcuiß li rochoch aßan.
2Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, and eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
2Quixsiqßueb li ani teßbânûnk re li cßanjel. Quixxakabeb lajêb xcâcßâl mil chi cuînk re teßîkânk re li cßaßak re ru teßcßanjelak. Ut quixxakabeb câcßâl mil chi cuînk chi isînc pec. Ut quixxakabeb oxib mil riqßuin cuakib ciento chi cuînk re teßjolomînk re li cßanjel.
3Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, “As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.
3Li rey Salomón quitzßîbac riqßuin laj Hiram lix reyeb laj Tiro ut quixye re: —¿Ma incßaß târûk tâtakla caßchßinak incheß chacalteß joß cabânu riqßuin laj David lin yucuaß nak quixyîb li rochoch aßan?
4Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.

Joßcan ajcuiß takabânu rajlal saß eb li hilobâl cutan ut saß xyoßlajic li po ut saß eb li ninkße re lokßonînc joß cßaynako chixbânunquil chalen chak junxil.
5“The house which I build is great; for our God is great above all gods.
5Li templo oc cue chixyîbanquil, aßan kßaxal nim xban nak li kaDios, aßan li kßaxal nim xcuanquil saß xbêneb chixjunileb li yîbanbil dios.
6But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?
6Abanan, ¿ani ta cuiß kßaxal cau rib chixyîbanquil rochoch li Dios xban nak li Dios incßaß nacuan caßaj cuiß saß junak ochoch? Cuan ban saß chixjunil li ruchichßochß joß ajcuiß saß li choxa. ¿Anihin ta cuiß lâin nak tinyîb li templo usta caßaj cuiß re xcßatbal li sununquil ban re xlokßoninquil li Dios?
7“Now therefore send me a man skillful to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
7Joßcan nak yôquin chixyebal âcue nak tinâtenkßa. Tâtakla chak cue junak cuînk naxnau cßanjelac chi us riqßuin li chßîchß oro, plata, bronce, ut hierro. Ut tixnau ajcuiß cßanjelac riqßuin li châbil tßicr púrpura, cak ut azul. Aßan tâtrabajik rochbeneb laj Judá ut laj Jerusalén, li ac tzolbileb chi cßanjelac. Aßaneb li ac sicßbileb ru xban laj David inyucuaß chi cßanjelac chiru.
8“Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon; for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon: and behold, my servants shall be with your servants,
8Ut tâtakla ajcuiß chak cue li cheß chacalteß, li ciprés, ut li sándalo li cuan aran Líbano. Ninnau nak eb li nequeßcßanjelac châcuu nequeßxnau xyocßbal chi châbil li cheß. Ut lâin tintaklaheb ajcuiß li nequeßcßanjelac chicuu re nak teßxtenkßaheb.
9even to prepare me timber in abundance; for the house which I am about to build shall be great and wonderful.
9Tintaklaheb re nak teßrisi nabal li tzßalam cheß xban nak li templo li tinyîb, aßan kßaxal nim ut cßajoß xchßinaßusal.
10Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”
10Ut lâin tintakla lix tzacaêmkeb li nequeßcßanjelac châcuu, eb li tâtakla chi tßanoc cheß. Tintakla lajêb roxcßâl mil quintal li trigo, ut lajêb roxcßâl mil quintal li cebada. Tintakla câhib ciento mil riqßuin caßcßâl mil litro li vino ut tintakla ajcuiß nabal li aceite, chan laj Salomón.
11Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because Yahweh loves his people, he has made you king over them.”
11Ut laj Hiram, lix reyeb laj Tiro quixtakla rêkaj lix hu laj Salomón ut quixye re chi joßcaßin: —Xban nak li Kâcuaß naxraheb lix tenamit, joßcan nak catxqßue chokß xreyeb.
12Huram continued, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, that should build a house for Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.
12Lokßoninbil taxak li Kâcuaß lix Dioseb laj Israel, li quiyîban re li choxa joß ajcuiß li ruchichßochß. Aßan quiqßuehoc re li rey David jun li ralal châbil ut cuan xnaßleb. (Li ralal aßan, aßan lâat.) Lâat tâyîb lix templo li Kâcuaß ut tâyîb ajcuiß lâ cuochoch.
13Now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, of Huram my father’s,
13Joßcan nak lâin tintakla âcue jun li cuînk naxnau cßanjelac chi us, aj Hiram-abi xcßabaß.
14the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving, and to devise any device; that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.
14Lix naß, aßan xcomoneb li ralal xcßajol laj Dan ut lix yucuaß yoßlajenak arin Tiro. Naxnau chi us xcßanjelanquil li oro, plata, bronce ut hierro ut naxnau xqßuebal xsahob ru. Naxnau ajcuiß xcßanjelanquil li pec ut li cheß. Ut naxnau ajcuiß xcßanjelanquil li châbil tßicr lino, li púrpura, li azul ut li cak. Ut naxnau xyîbanquil chi us aß yal chanru tâcuaj. Aßan tâcßanjelak rochbeneb li nequeßcßanjelac châcuu ut rochbeneb ajcuiß li queßcanjelac chiru li Kâcuaß David, lâ yucuaß.
15“Now therefore the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants:
15Joßcan nak kâcuaß Salomón, tâtakla chak li trigo, li cebada, li aceite ut li vino li xayechißi.
16and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you shall need; and we will bring it to you in floats by sea to Joppa; and you shall carry it up to Jerusalem.”
16Takayocß li cheß saß li naßajej Líbano, li joß qßuial tâcßanjelak châcuu. Ut saß xbên poyteß takatakla li cheß li tâcuaj saß li palau toj Jope. Ut lâat tâsicß chanru nak tâcßam li cheß toj Jerusalén, chan laj Hiram lix reyeb laj Tiro.
17Solomon numbered all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the numbering with which David his father had numbered them; and they were found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.

Oßcßâl riqßuin oxlaju roxcßâl mil riqßuin cuakib ciento li jalaneb xtenamit li cuanqueb Israel.Quixye nak lajêb xcâcßâl mil chi cuînk teßîkânk, câcßâl mil chi cuînk teßisînk pec saß eb li tzûl, ut oxib mil riqßuin cuakib ciento chi cuînk teßtaklânk saß xbêneb li teßcßanjelak.
18He set seventy thousand of them to bear burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred overseers to set the people at work.
18Quixye nak lajêb xcâcßâl mil chi cuînk teßîkânk, câcßâl mil chi cuînk teßisînk pec saß eb li tzûl, ut oxib mil riqßuin cuakib ciento chi cuînk teßtaklânk saß xbêneb li teßcßanjelak.
