1Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of Yahweh filled the house.
1Nak quirakeß chi tijoc laj Salomón, quicube chak li xam saß choxa ut quixcßat li xul li queßxmayeja ut li templo quinujac riqßuin lix lokßal li nimajcual Dios.
2The priests could not enter into the house of Yahweh, because the glory of Yahweh filled Yahweh’s house.
2Ut eb laj tij incßaß queßru chi oc saß lix templo li Kâcuaß xban nak quinujac riqßuin lix lokßal.
3All the children of Israel looked on, when the fire came down, and the glory of Yahweh was on the house; and they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped, and gave thanks to Yahweh, saying, “For he is good; for his loving kindness endures for ever.”
3Nak eb laj Israel queßril nak quicube chak saß choxa li xam ut lix lokßal li Dios quinujac saß li templo chixjunileb queßxcuikßib ribeb ut queßxxulub lix jolom saß chßochß ut queßxnima ru li Kâcuaß ut queßxqßue xlokßal. Queßxye: —Kßaxal châbil li Kâcuaß ut kßaxal nim li ruxtân saß kabên junelic, chanqueb.
4Then the king and all the people offered sacrifice before Yahweh.
4Ut chirix aßan li rey joß eb ajcuiß chixjunileb li tenamit Israel queßmayejac chiru li Kâcuaß.
5King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God’s house.
5Ut li rey Salomón quixmayeja cuib xcaßcßâl mil li bôyx ut jun ciento mil riqßuin junmay mil li carner. Joßcaßin nak queßxkßaxtesi li templo chiru li Dios li rey ut eb li tenamit Israel.
6The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of Yahweh, which David the king had made to give thanks to Yahweh, when David praised by their ministry, saying “For his loving kindness endures for ever.” The priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.
6Eb laj tij ac saß xnaßaj cuanqueb. Joßcaneb ajcuiß laj levita riqßuin lix cuajb li quixqßue laj David, li kßaxtesinbil re xlokßoninquil li Dios. Yôqueb chixchßeßbal lix cuajbeb nak yôqueb chixbichanquil li bich li naxye: —Kßaxal nim li ruxtân li Kâcuaß saß kabên junelic.— Queßxbânu joß quicßuteß chiruheb xban laj David. Ut eb laj tij yôqueb chixyâbasinquil li trompeta chi ubej ut xakxôqueb chixjunileb laj Israel.
7Moreover Solomon made the middle of the court holy that was before the house of Yahweh; for there he offered the burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offering, and the meal offering, and the fat.
7Li rey Salomón quixkßaxtesi ajcuiß chiru li Dios li nebâl li cuan chiru li templo. Aran quixcßat chak li mayej ut lix xêbul li xul li queßxcßat chokß xmayejeb re xcßambaleb rib saß usilal riqßuin li Dios. Incßaß quixcßat saß li artal li quixyîb riqßuin bronce laj Salomón xban nak kßaxal nabaleb li cßatbil mayej, lix xêbul ut li jun chßôl chic li mayej.
8So Solomon held the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt.
8Saß eb li cutan aßan laj Salomón quixbânu jun li ninkße chiru cuukub cutan rochbeneb chixjunileb laj Israel. Kßaxal nabaleb li chßutchßûqueb aran. Eb aßan queßchal chak saß eb li naßajej Hamat ut toj cuan cuiß li nimaß re Egipto.
9On the eighth day they held a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
9Saß li xcuakxak li cutan queßxbânu jun li ninkße riqßuineb chixjunileb li tenamit xban nak chiru li cuukub cutan aßan xeßxkßaxtesi li artal saß rukß li Dios. Chiru cuukub cutan chic queßxbânu li nimla ninkße.
10On the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that Yahweh had shown to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
10Saß li oxib xcaßcßâl xbe li xcuuk li po, li rey Salomón quixchakßrabiheb li tenamit re teßxic saß rochocheb chi saheb saß xchßôl ut chi cßojcßôqueb xchßôl xban chixjunil li usilal li quixbânu li Dios reheb laj David ut laj Salomón, joß eb ajcuiß li tenamit Israel.
11Thus Solomon finished the house of Yahweh, and the king’s house: and he successfully completed all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the house of Yahweh, and in his own house.
11Li rey Salomón quixchoy xyîbanquil lix templo li Dios ut quixyîb ajcuiß li rochoch li tâcuânk cuiß. Quixbânu li joß qßuial li quixcßoxla xbânunquil ut us qui-el chiru.
12Yahweh appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice.
12Ut saß jun li kßojyîn li Dios quixcßutbesi rib chiru laj Salomón ut quixye re: —Lâin xcuabi lâ tij. Lâin xinsicß ru li naßajej aßin chokß xnaßaj lin templo re teßmayejak cuiß.
13“If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive, to the prayer that is made in this place.
15Chalen anakcuan lâin tincuileb lin tenamit ut tincuabi lix tijeb nak teßtijok saß li naßajej aßin.
16For now have I chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.
