2 Corinthians

8

1Moreover, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the assemblies of Macedonia;
1Anakcuan, ex inhermân, nacuaj nak tinserak'i êre chanru nak li Dios riq'uin xnimal ruxtân yô chixtenk'anquileb laj pâbanel li cuanqueb Macedonia chixbânunquil li usilal.
2how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their liberality.
2Quiyale' rix lix pâbâleb xban li q'uila raylal xe'xc'ul. Abanan numtajenak lix sahil xch'ôleb. Usta k'axal neba'eb, abanan chanchan biomeb xban nak nabal xe'xsi re xtenk'anquileb li rech aj pâbanelil.
3For according to their power, I testify, yes and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,
3Lâin ninnau nak que'xq'ue li jo' q'uial que'ru xq'uebal ut toj que'xq'ue cui'chic xtz'akob chi anchaleb xch'ôl.
4begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.
4Qui-ala sa' xch'ôleb tenk'ânc. Ut que'xye ke nak chi anchaleb xch'ôl que'raj xtenk'anquileb li rech aj pâbanelil li cuanqueb Jerusalén.
5This was not as we had hoped, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God.
5Inc'a' xkac'oxla nak nabal ta te'xq'ue. Que'xk'axtesi rib chiru li Dios ut que'xyechi'i ajcui' rib chikatenk'anquil jo' naraj li Dios.
6So we urged Titus, that as he made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace.
6Jo'can nak xkatz'âma chiru laj Tito nak tâxic cui'chic êriq'uin re nak textenk'a xchoybal li c'anjel xetiquib xban xchâbilal êch'ôl. A'an ajcui' li quitiquiban re xxocbal li mayej a'in.
7But as you abound in everything, in faith, utterance, knowledge, all earnestness, and in your love to us, see that you also abound in this grace.
7Lâex cau êch'ôl sa' lê pâbâl. Nequenau lix yâlal ut nequenau xch'olobanquil li yâl. Nequeq'ue êch'ôl chi c'anjelac jo' naraj li Dios, ut nocoêra. Jo'can nak nakatz'âma chêru nak cheq'ue lê mayej chi anchal êch'ôl.
8I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.
8Lâin inc'a' yôquin xminbal êru. Yôquin ban chixyebal êre chanru nak eb laj Macedonia neque'xq'ue xmayej chi anchaleb xch'ôl ut nacuaj ajcui' xnaubal ma chi anchal êch'ôl nequexrahoc lâex.
9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
9Lâex ac nequenau nak k'axal nim li rusilal li Kâcua' Jesucristo. A'an quixcanab chak lix biomal sa' choxa ut quicuan sa' neba'il arin sa' ruchich'och' yal êban lâex. Quixbânu chi jo'ca'in yal re nak lâex têc'ul li biomal li naxq'ue li Dios.
10I give a judgment in this: for this is expedient for you, who were the first to start a year ago, not only to do, but also to be willing.
10Nacuaj xyebal êre c'a'ru ninc'oxla chirix lê mayej. Us cui têchoy xbânunquil li xetiquib jun haber. Lâex li xbên li queye nak textenk'ânk. Ut lâex ajcui' li xbên li quetiquib xbânunquil.
11But now complete the doing also, that as there was the readiness to be willing, so there may be the completion also out of your ability.
11Jo'can nak us cui têchoy xbânunquil li xetiquib junxil. Chi anchal êch'ôl xetiquib tenk'ânc. Anakcuan têq'ue li jo' nimal jo' ch'inal naxq'ue rib chêru.
12For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.
12Li ani na-ala sa' xch'ôl xq'uebal xmayej, li Dios naxc'ul lix mayej a' yal jo' nimal cuan chiru. Li Dios inc'a' naxpatz' li mâc'a' chiru.
13For this is not that others may be eased and you distressed,
13Inc'a' yôquin chixyebal a'in re nak li jun ch'ôl te'tenk'âk chi nabal ut lâex texcanâk chi mâc'a' chic cuan êre. Nacuaj ban nak cuânk êre lâex ut cuânk ajcui' reheb li jun ch'ol chic re nak mâ ani tâcanâk chi mâc'a' cuan re.
14but for equality. Your abundance at this present time supplies their lack, that their abundance also may become a supply for your lack; that there may be equality.
14Anakcuan riq'uin li jo' q'uial cuan êre, chetenk'aheb li mâc'a' cuan reheb. Mâre sa' jun cutan mâc'a' cuânk êre lâex ut a'an eb chic te'tenk'ânk êre riq'uin li jo' q'uial cuan reheb a'an.
15As it is written, “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”
15Jo'ca'in tz'îbanbil sa' li Santil Hu chirix li maná li quixq'ue li Dios: Li ani quixxoc nabal, mâc'a' qui-ela'an chiru. Ut li ani ca'ch'in quixxoc, quitz'akloc ajcui' chiru. (Ex. 16:18)
16But thanks be to God, who puts the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus.
16Ninbantioxi chiru li Dios xban nak laj Tito naxq'ue xch'ôl chêtenk'anquil jo' nak ninq'ue inch'ôl lâin.
17For he indeed accepted our exhortation, but being himself very earnest, he went out to you of his own accord.
17Quintz'âma chiru laj Tito nak tâxic êriq'uin ut quixc'ul xch'ôl. Toj mâji' ajcui' nintz'âma chiru nak a'an ac x-ala sa' xch'ôl nak tâxic êriq'uin.
18We have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the Good News is known through all the assemblies.
18Yôco chixtaklanquil jun chic li hermân êriq'uin rochben laj Tito. A'an na'no ru xbaneb chixjunileb laj pâbanel yalak bar xban nak châbil li c'anjel naxbânu re xch'olobanquil lix yâlal li colba-ib.
19Not only so, but who was also appointed by the assemblies to travel with us in this grace, which is served by us to the glory of the Lord himself, and to show our readiness.
19A'an li quixakabâc xbaneb laj pâbanel re tâxic chikix nak toxic chixcanabanquil li mâtan a'in. Li mâtan a'in, a'an re xq'uebal xlok'al li Kâcua' ut re nak te'xnau li kech aj pâbanelil nak nakaj xtenk'anquileb.
20We are avoiding this, that any man should blame us concerning this abundance which is administered by us.
20Yôco chixbânunquil li c'anjel a'in chi us re nak mâ ani tâcuech'ok rix li kac'anjel nak toxic chixcanabanquil li nimla mâtan a'in.
21Having regard for honorable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
21Nakaq'ue kach'ôl chixbânunquil li c'a'ru us; moco ca'aj cui' ta chiru li Dios. Chiruheb aj ban cui' li cuînk.
22We have sent with them our brother, whom we have many times proved earnest in many things, but now much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence which he has in you.
22Ut yôco chixtaklanquil jun chic li kahermân chirixeb. Q'uila cua xkaq'ue retal nak naxq'ue xch'ôl chixbânunquil li c'a'ak re ru re xtenk'anquil li rech aj pâbanelil. Xban nak a'an cau xch'ôl êriq'uin, jo'can nak sa xch'ôl chi xic êriq'uin.
23As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker for you. As for our brothers, they are the apostles of the assemblies, the glory of Christ.
23Cui ani te'patz'ok chirix laj Tito, têye reheb nak a'an cuech aj c'anjelil. Cuochben chêtenk'anquil. Ut eb li cuib chic chi hermân, a'an taklanbileb xbaneb laj pâbanel. Chi jo'can yalak bar tâq'uehek' retal nak yâl li châbil esil li xinye chêrix.
24Therefore show the proof of your love to them in front of the assemblies, and of our boasting on your behalf.
24Nak te'cuulak êriq'uin chec'ulakeb sa' xyâlal. Chec'ut chiruheb nak nequera lê rech aj pâbanelil. Chi jo'can yalak bar tâq'uehek' retal nak yâl li châbil esil li xinye chêrix.
