¹That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life

¹ព្រះបន្ទូលដែលផ្ដល់ជីវិត គង់នៅកាលពីដើមដំបូងបង្អស់ យើងបានឮព្រះបន្ទូលនេះ បានឃើញផ្ទាល់នឹងភ្នែក បានរំពឹងគិត និង បានពាល់ដោយដៃយើងផ្ទាល់

²(and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us);

²(ដ្បិតជីវិត នេះបានលេចមកអោយយើងឃើញ ហើយយើងសូមផ្ដល់សក្ខីភាព និង សូមជូនដំណឹងមកបងប្អូន អំពីជីវិតអស់កល្បជានិច្ច ដែលបែរទៅរក ព្រះបិតា និង លេចមកអោយយើងឃើញ)។

³that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

³យើងសូមជូនដំណឹងអំពីព្រះបន្ទូលដែលយើងបានឃើញ និង បានឮនោះដល់បងប្អូន ដើម្បីអោយបងប្អូនបានចូលរួមរស់ជាមួយយើង រីឯយើងវិញ យើងក៏រួមរស់ជាមួយព្រះបិតា និង ជាមួយព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ ជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គ។

⁴And we write these things to you, that our joy may be fulfilled.

⁴យើងសរសេរសេចក្ដីទាំងនេះមកជូនបងប្អូន ដើម្បីអោយយើងមានអំណរពេញលក្ខណៈ។

⁵This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

⁶If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don’t tell the truth.

⁷But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

⁷ប៉ុន្ដែ ប្រសិនបើយើងរស់ ក្នុងពន្លឺ ដូចព្រះអង្គផ្ទាល់ដែលគង់នៅក្នុងពន្លឺនោះយើងនឹងបានរួមរស់ជាមួយគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក ហើយព្រះលោហិតរបស់ព្រះយេស៊ូ ជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គជំរះយើងអោយបានបរិសុទ្ធ រួចពីគ្រប់អំពើបាបទាំងអស់។

⁸If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

⁸ប្រសិនបើយើងពោលថា យើងគ្មានបាបសោះ នោះយើងបញ្ឆោតខ្លួនឯង ហើយសេចក្ដីពិតក៏មិនស្ថិតនៅក្នុងយើងដែរ។

⁹If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁹ប៉ុន្ដែ បើយើងទទួលសារភាពអំពើបាបរបស់យើង នោះព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដែលមានព្រះហឫទ័យស្មោះស្ម័គ្រ និង សុចរិត ទ្រង់នឹងអត់ទោសយើងអោយរួចពីបាប ព្រមទាំងជំរះយើងអោយបានបរិសុទ្ធ រួចពីគ្រប់អំពើទុច្ចរិតទាំងអស់ផង។

¹⁰If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

¹⁰ប្រសិនបើយើងពោលថា យើងគ្មានបាបសោះ នោះដូចជាយើងចោទថាព្រះជាម្ចាស់កុហកទៅវិញហើយព្រះបន្ទូលរបស់ព្រះអង្គមិនស្ថិតនៅក្នុងខ្លួនយើងទេ។
