¹The lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, at the uttermost part of the south.

¹유다 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 제비 뽑은 땅의 극남단은 에돔 지경에 이르고 또 남으로 신 광야까지라

²Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;

²그 남편 경계는 염해의 극단 곧 남향한 해만에서부터

³and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka;

³아그랍빔 비탈 남편으로 지나 신에 이르고 가데스 바네아 남편으로 올라가서 헤스론을 지나며 앗달도 올라가서 돌이켜 갈가에 이르고

⁴and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the brook of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This shall be your south border.

⁴거기서 아스몬에 이르고 애굽 시내에 미치며 바다에 이르러 경계의 끝이 되나니 이것이 너희 남편 경계가 되리라

⁵The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Jordan. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.

⁵그 동편 경계는 염해니 요단 끝까지요 그 북편 경계는 요단 끝에 당한 해만에서부터

⁶The border went up to Beth Hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

⁶벧호글라로 올라가서 벧 아라바 북편을 지나 르우벤 자손 보한의 돌에 이르고

⁷The border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river. The border passed along to the waters of En Shemesh, and ended at En Rogel.

⁷또 아골 골짜기에서부터 드빌을 지나 북으로 올라가서 강 남편에 있는 아둠빔 비탈 맞은편 길갈을 향하고 나아가 엔 세메스 물을 지나 엔로겔에 이르며

⁸The border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the side of the Jebusite southward (the same is Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the farthest part of the valley of Rephaim northward.

⁸또 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기로 올라가서 여부스 곧 예루살렘 남편 어깨에 이르며 또 힌놈의 골짜기 앞 서편에 있는 산 꼭대기로 올라가나니 이 곳은 르바임 골짜기 북편 끝이며

⁹The border extended from the top of the mountain to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of Mount Ephron; and the border extended to Baalah (the same is Kiriath Jearim);

⁹또 이 산꼭대기에서부터 넵도아 샘물까지 이르러 에브론산 성읍들에 미치고 또 바알라 곧 기럇 여아림에 미치며

¹⁰and the border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and passed along to the side of Mount Jearim on the north (the same is Chesalon), and went down to Beth Shemesh, and passed along by Timnah;

¹⁰또 바알라에서부터 서편으로 돌이켜 세일산에 이르러 여아림산 곧 그살론 곁 북편에 이르고 또 벧 세메스로 내려가서 딤나로 지나고

¹¹and the border went out to the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.

¹¹또 에그론 북편으로 나아가 식그론에 이르러 바알라산에 미치고 얍느엘에 이르나니 그 끝은 바다며

¹²The west border was to the shore of the great sea. This is the border of the children of Judah according to their families.

¹²서편 경계는 대해와 그 해변이니 유다 자손이 그 가족대로 얻은 사면 경계가 이러하니라

¹³To Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of Yahweh to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (the same is Hebron).

¹³여호와께서 여호수아에게 명하신 대로 여호수아가 기럇 아르바 곧 헤브론 성을 유다 자손중에서 분깃으로 여분네의 아들 갈렙에게 주었으니 아르바는 아낙의 아비였더라

¹⁴Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

¹⁴갈렙이 거기서 아낙의 소생 곧 그 세 아들 세새와 아히만과 달매를 쫓아내었고

¹⁵He went up against the inhabitants of Debir: now the name of Debir before was Kiriath Sepher.

¹⁵거기서 올라가서 드빌 거민을 쳤는데 드빌의 본 이름은 기럇 세벨이라

¹⁶Caleb said, “He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife.”

¹⁶갈렙의 아우요 그나스의 아들인 옷니엘이 그것을 취함으로 갈렙이 그 딸 악사를 그에게 아내로 주었더라

¹⁷Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.

¹⁷악사가 출가할 때에 그에게 청하여 `자기 아비에게 밭을 구하자' 하고 나귀에서 내리매 갈렙이 그에게 묻되 `네가 무엇을 원하느냐 ?'

¹⁸It happened, when she came, that she had him ask her father fore a field. She got off of her donkey, and Caleb said, “What do you want?”

¹⁸가로되 `내게 복을 주소서 ! 아버지께서 나를 남방 땅으로 보내시오니 샘물도 내게 주소서' 하매 갈렙이 윗 샘과 아랫 샘을 그에게 주었더라

¹⁹She said, “Give me a blessing. Because you have set me in the land of the South, give me also springs of water.” He gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.

¹⁹유다 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이러하니라

³³In the lowland, Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,

³³사노아와, 엔간님과, 답부아와, 에남과,

³⁴Zanoah, En Gannim, Tappuah, Enam,

³⁴야르뭇과, 아둘람과, 소고와, 아세가와,

³⁵Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, Azekah,

³⁵사아라임과, 아디다임과, 그데라와, 그데로다임이니 모두 십 사 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

³⁶Shaaraim, Adithaim and Gederah (or Gederothaim); fourteen cities with their villages.

³⁷딜르안과, 미스베와, 욕드엘과,

³⁸Dilean, Mizpeh, Joktheel,

⁴¹Gederoth, Beth Dagon, Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages.

⁴¹립나와, 에델과, 아산과,

⁴²Libnah, Ether, Ashan,

⁴²입다와, 아스나와, 느십과,

⁴³Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib,

⁴³그일라와, 악십과, 마레사니 모두 아홉 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

⁴⁴Keilah, Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.

⁴⁴에그론과, 그 향리와, 촌락과,

⁴⁵Ekron, with its towns and its villages;

⁴⁵에그론에서부터 바다까지 아스돗 곁에 있는 모든 성읍과 그 촌락이었으며

⁴⁶from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.

⁴⁶아스돗과, 그 향리와, 촌락과, 가사와, 그 향리와, 촌락이니 애굽 시내와 대해 가에 이르기까지였으며

⁴⁷Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; to the brook of Egypt, and the great sea with its coastline.

⁴⁷산지는 사밀과, 얏딜과, 소고와,

⁴⁸In the hill country, Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,

⁴⁸단나와, 기럇 산나 곧 드빌과,

⁴⁹Dannah, Kiriath Sannah (which is Debir),

⁴⁹아납과, 에스드모와, 아님과,

⁵⁰Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim,

⁵⁰고센과, 홀론과, 길로니 모두 십 일 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

⁵¹Goshen, Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages.

⁵¹아랍과, 두마와, 에산과,

⁵²Arab, Dumah, Eshan,

⁵²야님과, 벧 답부아와, 아베가와,

⁵³Janim, Beth Tappuah, Aphekah,

⁵³훔다와, 기럇 아르바 곧 헤브론과 시올이니 모두 아홉 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

⁵⁴Humtah, Kiriath Arba (the same is Hebron), and Zior; nine cities with their villages.

⁵⁴마온과, 갈멜과, 십과, 윳다와,

⁵⁵Maon, Carmel, Ziph, Jutah,

⁵⁵이스르엘과, 욕드암과, 사노아와,

⁵⁶Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah,

⁵⁶가인과, 기브아와, 딤나니 모두 열 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

⁵⁷Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages.

⁵⁷할훌과, 벧 술과, 그돌과,

⁵⁸Halhul, Beth Zur, Gedor,

⁵⁸마아랏과, 벧 아놋과, 엘드곤이니 모두 여섯 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

⁵⁹Maarath, Beth Anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.

⁵⁹기럇 바알 곧 기럇 여아림과, 라빠니 모두 두 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

⁶⁰Kiriath Baal (the same is Kiriath Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.

⁶⁰광야에는 벧 아라바와, 밋딘과, 스가가와,

⁶¹In the wilderness, Beth Arabah, Middin, Secacah,

⁶¹닙산과, 염성과, 엔 게디니 모두 여섯 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었더라

⁶²Nibshan, the City of Salt, and En Gedi; six cities with their villages.

⁶²예루살렘 거민 여부스 사람을 유다 자손이 쫓아내지 못하였으므로 여부스 사람이 오늘날까지 유다 자손과 함께 예루살렘에 거하니라

⁶³As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah couldn’t drive them out; but the Jebusites live with the children of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
