1Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
1Viešpats sakė Mozei: “Eik pas faraoną ir jam sakyk: ‘Taip sako Viešpats, hebrajų Dievas: ‘Išleisk mano žmones, kad jie man tarnautų!
2For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,
2Jei jų neišleisi ir nepaliausi jų laikęs,
3behold, the hand of Yahweh is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.
3Viešpaties ranka bus ant tavo lauke besiganančių gyvulių: arklių, asilų, kupranugarių, avių ir galvijųbus labai sunkus maras.
4Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’”
4Viešpats atskirs izraelitų ir egiptiečių gyvulius; niekas nežus, kas priklauso izraelitams’ ”.
5Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow Yahweh shall do this thing in the land.”
5Ir Viešpats paskyrė laiką, sakydamas: “Rytoj Viešpats įvykdys šitą dalyką krašte!”
6Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.
6Kitą rytą Viešpats įvykdė tai: visi egiptiečių gyvuliai nugaišo, bet iš izraelitų gyvulių nepražuvo nė vienas.
7Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go.
7Faraonas pasiuntė pasižiūrėti. Pasirodė, kad izraelitų gyvulių nė vienas nebuvo nugaišęs. Tačiau faraono širdis liko kieta ir jis neišleido tautos.
8Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.
8Tada Viešpats tarė Mozei ir Aaronui: “Imkite pilnas saujas pelenų iš krosnies ir Mozė teberia juos į orą faraono akivaizdoje.
9It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.”
9Jie taps dulkėmis visoje Egipto šalyje, ir ant žmonių bei gyvulių iškils votys su pūslėmis”.
10They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal.
10Jie pasiėmė pelenų iš krosnies ir, atsistoję prieš faraoną, išbėrė juos į orą. Ir atsirado votys ant žmonių ir gyvulių.
11The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians, and on all the Egyptians.
11Žyniai negalėjo pasirodyti Mozei, nes votys buvo ant jų ir visų egiptiečių.
12Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses.
12Tačiau Viešpats užkietino faraono širdį, ir jis neklausė jų, kaip Viešpats ir buvo sakęs Mozei.
13Yahweh said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
13Tada Viešpats tarė Mozei: “Atsikelk anksti rytą, nueik pas faraoną ir sakyk: ‘Taip sako Viešpats, hebrajų Dievas: ‘Išleisk mano tautą man tarnauti.
14For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
14Nes šį kartą Aš siųsiu įvairias negalias ir vargus tau, tavo tarnams ir tavo žmonėms, kad žinotum, jog nėra man lygaus visoje žemėje.
15For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;
15Aš galėjau ištiesti savo ranką ir ištikti tave ir tavo tautą maru, kad būtumėte visi pranykę nuo žemės paviršiaus.
16but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth;
16Bet Aš tam išaukštinau tave, kad parodyčiau savo galią ir mano vardas būtų skelbiamas visoje žemėje.
17as you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.
17Tu vis dar didžiuojiesi prieš mano tautą ir neišleidi jos.
18Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
18Rytoj apie šitą laiką kris labai smarki kruša, kokios nėra buvę Egipte nuo jo įsikūrimo dienos.
19Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. Every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die.”’”
19Taigi dabar siųsk žmones surinkti iš lauko gyvulius ir visa, kas tau priklauso. Visi žmonės ir gyvuliai, kurie bus lauke ir nebus parvesti namo, krušai krintant, pražus’ ”.
20Those who feared the word of Yahweh among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.
20Faraono tarnai, kurie bijojo Viešpaties, sugabeno į namus savo tarnus ir gyvulius.
21Whoever didn’t respect the word of Yahweh left his servants and his livestock in the field.
21O kas nekreipė dėmesio į Viešpaties žodį, paliko savo tarnus ir gyvulius lauke.
22Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”
22Viešpats tarė Mozei: “Ištiesk savo ranką, kad kristų kruša visoje Egipto šalyje: ant žmonių, gyvulių ir visos laukų augmenijos”.
23Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and Yahweh sent thunder, hail, and lightning flashed down to the earth. Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt.
23Mozė ištiesė lazdą, ir Viešpats pasiuntė perkūniją, krušą ir žaibus. Viešpats siuntė krušą į visą Egipto žemę.
24So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
24Kruša susimaišė su žaibais ir buvo tokia smarki, kokios Egipto šalis nebuvo mačiusi.
25The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
25Kruša išmušė Egipto šalyje visa, kas buvo lauke: žmones, gyvulius, augalus ir medžius.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
26Tik Gošeno krašte, kur gyveno izraelitai, nebuvo krušos.
27Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
27Faraonas, pasišaukęs Mozę ir Aaroną, jiems kalbėjo: “Aš nusidėjau! Viešpats yra teisus, o aš ir mano tauta esame nusikaltę.
28Pray to Yahweh; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”
28Melskite Viešpatį, kad liautųsi stipri perkūnija ir kruša! Aš jus išleisiu ir daugiau nebesulaikysiu”.
29Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s.
29Mozė jam atsakė: “Kai tik išeisiu iš miesto, pakelsiu rankas į Viešpatį. Tada perkūnija ir kruša liausis, kad žinotum, jog Viešpačiui priklauso visa žemė.
30But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear Yahweh God.”
30Bet aš žinau, kad nei tu, nei tavo tarnai dar nesibijote Viešpaties Dievo”.
31The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.
31Linus ir miežius kruša išmušė, nes miežiai buvo išplaukę ir linai jau žydėjo.
32But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up.
32Bet kviečių ir rugių neišmušė, nes jie vėliau pribręsta.
33Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to Yahweh; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.
33Mozė išėjo nuo faraono iš miesto ir iškėlė rankas į Viešpatį: perkūnija ir kruša liovėsi, lietus nustojo lijęs.
34When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
34Bet faraonas, matydamas, kad liovėsi lietus, kruša ir perkūnija, vėl nusidėjo ir užkietino savo širdį kartu su savo tarnais.
35The heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go, just as Yahweh had spoken through Moses.
35Faraono širdis pasiliko užkietėjusi, ir jis neišleido Izraelio vaikų, kaip Viešpats ir buvo sakęs Mozei.
