³He said to the man who had his hand withered, “Stand up.”

³Jėzus tarė žmogui su padžiūvusia ranka: “Stok į vidurį!”

⁴He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?” But they were silent.

⁴O juos paklausė: “Ar sabato dieną leistina daryti gera, ar bloga? Gelbėti gyvybę ar žudyti?” Bet anie tylėjo.

⁵When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

⁵Tada, rūsčiai juos apžvelgęs ir nuliūdęs dėl jų širdies kietumo, tarė tam žmogui: “Ištiesk ranką!” Šis ištiesė, ir ranka tapo sveika kaip ir kita.

⁶Išėję fariziejai tuojau pradėjo tartis su erodininkais, kaip Jėzų pražudyti.

⁷Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,

⁷O Jėzus su savo mokiniais pasitraukė prie ežero. Jį sekė didelė minia iš Galilėjos. Ir iš Judėjos,

⁸from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.

⁸Jeruzalės ir Idumėjos, iš anapus Jordano bei Tyro ir Sidono šalies atvyko daugybė žmonių, kurie buvo girdėję apie Jo didelius darbus.

⁹He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.

⁹Jėzus liepė mokiniams laikyti Jam paruoštą nedidelę valtį, kad minia Jo nesuspaustų.

¹⁰For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.

¹⁰Mat Jis buvo daugelį išgydęs, ir visi, kuriuos kankino ligos, veržėsi prie Jo, norėdami Jį paliesti.

¹¹The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, “You are the Son of God!”

¹¹Taip pat netyrosios dvasios, vos tik Jį pamačiusios, parpuldavo priešais Jį ir šaukdavo: “Tu esi Dievo Sūnus!”

¹²He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.

¹²Bet Jėzus griežtai jas drausdavo, kad Jo negarsintų.

¹³He went up into the mountain, and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.

¹³Jėzus užkopė ant kalno ir pasišaukė, kuriuos pats norėjo, ir jie atėjo pas Jį.

¹⁴He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach,

¹⁴Jis paskyrė dvylika, kad jie būtų kartu su Juo ir kad galėtų siųsti juos pamokslauti

¹⁵and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:

¹⁵ir jie turėtų valdžią gydyti ligas ir išvarinėti demonus:

¹⁶Simon, to whom he gave the name Peter;

¹⁶Simoną, pavadinęs jį Petru;

¹⁷James the son of Zebedee; John, the brother of James, and he surnamed them Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder;

¹⁷Zebediejaus sūnų Jokūbą ir Jokūbo brolį Joną (juos pavadinęs Boanerges, tai yra “griaustinio vaikai”);

¹⁹ir Judą Iskarijotą, kuris Jį ir išdavė. Ir jie grįžo namo.

²⁰The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

²⁰Vėl susirinko tiek žmonių, kad jie nebegalėjo nė pavalgyti.

²¹Saviškiai, apie tai išgirdę, ėjo sulaikyti Jo, sakydami, kad Jis išėjęs iš proto.

²²The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”

²²Atvykę iš Jeruzalės Rašto žinovai sakė: “Jis turi Belzebulą”, ir: “Demonų kunigaikščio jėga Jis išvaro demonus”.

²³He summoned them, and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?

²³O Jėzus, pasivadinęs juos, kalbėjo palyginimais: “Kaip gali šėtonas išvaryti šėtoną?

²⁴ If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

²⁴Jei karalystė suskilusi, tokia karalystė negali išsilaikyti.

²⁵ If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

²⁵Ir jei namai suskilę, tokie namai negali išsilaikyti.

²⁶ If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.

²⁶Ir jei šėtonas sukyla pats prieš save ir tampa susiskaldęs, jis negali išsilaikyti ir žlunga.

²⁷ But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.

²⁷Niekas negali įeiti į galiūno namus ir pasigrobti jo turto, pirmiau nesurišęs galiūno. Tik tada jis apiplėš jo namus.

²⁸ Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;

²⁸Iš tiesų sakau jums: bus atleistos žmonių vaikams visos nuodėmės ir piktžodžiavimai, kaip jie bepiktžodžiautų;

²⁹ but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”

²⁹bet jei kas piktžodžiautų Šventajai Dvasiai, tam niekada nebus atleista, ir jis amžiams bus pasmerktas”.

³⁰—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

³⁰Mat jie sakė: “Jis turi netyrąją dvasią”.

³¹His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.

³¹Atėjo Jėzaus motina ir broliai ir, lauke sustoję, prašė Jį pakviesti.

³²A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters TR omits “your sisters” are outside looking for you.”

³²Aplink Jį sėdėjo minia, kai Jam pranešė: “Štai Tavo motina ir broliai bei seserys lauke stovi ir ieško Tavęs”.

³³He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”

³³O Jis atsakė: “Kas yra mano motina ir mano broliai?”

³⁴Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!

³⁴Ir, apžvelgęs aplinkui sėdinčius, tarė: “Štai mano motina ir mano broliai!

³⁵ For whoever does the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”

³⁵Kas vykdo Dievo valią, tas mano brolis, ir sesuo, ir motina”.
