1Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you can’t be saved.”
1[Ny nifandiran'ny sasany ny amin'ny famorana, sy ny nataon'ny Apostoly sy ny loholona tany Jerosalema tamin'izany] Ary ny olona sasany izay nidina avy tany Jodia nampianatra ny rahalahy hoe: Raha tsy forana araka ny fanaon'i Mosesy ianareo, dia tsy azo vonjena.
2Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
2Ary rehefa nifanditra sy niady hevitra be ihany tamin'ireo Paoly sy Barnabasy, dia nifanarahana ny hiakaran'izy roa lahy sy ny sasany koa hankany Jerosalema ho any amin'ny Apostoly sy ny loholona hanadina izany teny niadian-kevitra izany. [ Gr. presbytera]
3They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles. They caused great joy to all the brothers. The word for “brothers” here and where the context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”
3Ary rehefa nanatitra azy ny fiangonana, dia nandeha namaky an'i Foinika sy Samaria izy ka nilaza ny niovan'ny jentilisa; dia nampifaly ny rahalahy rehetra indrindra izy.
4When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all things that God had done with them.
4Ary rehefa tonga tany Jerosalema izy, dia noraisin'ny fiangonana sy ny Apostoly ary ny loholona, ka dia nilaza izay rehetra efa nataon'Andriamanitra tamin'ny nombany azy. [ Gr. presbytera]
5But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”
5Fa ny mino sasany, izay isan'ny antokon'ny Fariseo kosa, dia nitsangana ka nanao hoe: Tsy maintsy forana ireny ka asaina mitandrina ny lalàn'i Mosesy.
6The apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
6Ary dia nivory ny Apostoly sy ny loholona mba hihevitra izany zavatra izany. [ Gr. presbytera]
7When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News, and believe.
7Ary rehefa nisy ady hevitra be ihany, dia nitsangana Petera ka nanao taminy hoe: Ry rahalahy, fantatrareo fa hatramin'ny ela Andriamanitra dia efa nifidy teo aminareo fa amin'ny vavako no handrenesan'ny jentilisa ny tenin'ny filazantsara ka hinoany.
8God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.
8Ary Andriamanitra, Izay mahalala ny fo, dia vavolombelony tamin'ny nanomezany azy ny Fanahy Masina tahaka antsika koa;
9He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
9fa tsy nataony misy hafa isika sy izy, fa nodioviny tamin'ny finoana ny fony.
10Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
10Koa nahoana ianareo no maka fanahy an'Andriamanitra amin'ny fametrahanareo zioga amin'ny vozon'ny mpianatra, izay tsy zakan'ny razantsika na isika ho entina?
11But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, TR adds “Christ” just as they are.”
11Fa mino isika fa ny fahasoavan'i Jesosy Tompo no hamonjena antsika, dia tahaka ny azy ihany koa.
12All the multitude kept silence, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the nations through them.
12Dia nangina ny olona rehetra ka nihaino an'i Barnabasy sy Paoly, izay nilaza ny famantarana sy ny fahagagana nampanaovin'Andriamanitra azy tany amin'ny jentilisa.
13After they were silent, James answered, “Brothers, listen to me.
13Ary rehefa nitsahatra tsy niteny izy roa lahy, dia namaly Jakoba ka nanao hoe: Ry rahalahy, mihainoa ahy:
14Simeon has reported how God first visited the nations, to take out of them a people for his name.
14Simeona efa nanambara izay nitsinjovan'Andriamanitra ny jentilisa tamin'ny voalohany hanalany olona aminy hankalazana ny anarany.
15This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written,
15Ary mifanaraka amin'izany ny tenin'ny mpaminany, araka ny voasoratra hoe:
16‘After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up,
16Rehefa afaka izany, dia hiverina Aho Ka hanangana ny trano-lain'i Davida izay efa nianjera; Ary hanangana izay efa rava ao Aho Ka hanamboatra azy indray;
17That the rest of men may seek after the Lord; All the Gentiles who are called by my name, Says the Lord, who does all these things. Amos 9:11-12
17Mba hitady ny Tompo ny olona sisa sy ny jentilisa rehetra, Izay efa niantsoana ny anarako, hoy Jehovah,
18All his works are known to God from eternity.’
18Izay manao izany zavatra fantatra hatramin'ny voalohany indrindra izany (Amo. 9. 11, 12).
19“Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God,
19Koa dia izao no hevitro: Tsy mety raha isika manome fahasahiranana ny avy amin'ny jentilisa izay miverina ho amin'Andriamanitra;
20but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.
20fa aoka hanoratra epistily aminy isika mba hifadiany ny hena fahavetavetana aterina amin'ny sampy sy ny fijangajangana ary ny zavatra kendaina sy ny rà.
21For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
21Fa hatramin'ny razana fahiny dia manana izay mitory azy ao amin'ny isan-tanàna Mosesy, fa vakina ao amin'ny synagoga rehetra isan-tSabata ny teniny.
22Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole assembly, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers. The word for “brothers” here and where the context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”
22Ary sitraky ny Apostoly sy ny loholona mbamin'ny fiangonana rehetra ny hifidy olona amin'ny namany mba hirahina hiaraka amin'i Paoly sy Barnabasy hankany Antiokia, dia Joda, izay atao hoe Barnabasy, sy Silasy, izay lehilahy samy tsara laza eo amin'ny rahalahy; [ Gr. presbytera]
23They wrote these things by their hand: “The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.
23ary nanoratra taratasy izy ho entin'ireo, dia izao: Ny Apostoly sy ny rahalahy loholona miarahaba ny rahalahy avy amin'ny jentilisa izay any Antiokia sy Syria ary Kilikia. [ Gr. presbytera]
24Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, ‘You must be circumcised and keep the law,’ to whom we gave no commandment;
24Satria efa renay fa ny sasany izay avy tany aminay efa nanao teny nampitabataba anareo ka namadika ny sainareo, kanefa tsy nasainay nanao izany izy,
25it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
25dia sitrakay, rehefa nifanara-kevitra, ny hifidy olona hirahina hankatỳ aminareo hiaraka amin'i Barnabasy sy Paoly malalanay,
26men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
26lehilahy izay nanao ny ainy tsy ho zavatra ho voninahitry ny anaran'i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika.
27We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves will also tell you the same things by word of mouth.
27Dia nirahinay Joda sy Silasy, sady hilaza vava izany teny izany koa izy.
28For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:
28Fa sitraky ny Fanahy Masina sy izahay tsy hampitondra enta-mavesatra anareo afa-tsy izao zavatra tsy maintsy hotandremana izao ihany:
29that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell.”
29dia ny hifadianareo ny hena aterina amin'ny sampy sy ny rà sy ny zavatra kendaina ary ny fijangajangana; raha mahatandrin-tena hifady izany ianareo, dia ho soa. Veloma ianareo.
30So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch. Having gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter.
30Ary rehefa nalefany izy ireo, dia nidina nankany Antiokia; ary namory ny olona maro izy, dia natolony ilay epistily.
31When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.
31Ary nony efa namaky izany ny olona, dia nifaly noho ny anatra tsara.
32Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words, and strengthened them.
32Ary satria mpaminany Joda sy Silasy, dia namporisika ny rahalahy tamin'ny teny maro izy ka nampahery azy.
33After they had spent some time there, they were sent back with greetings from the brothers to the apostles.
33Ary rehefa nitoetra elaela teo izy ireo, dia nampandehanin'ny rahalahy soa aman-tsara ho any amin'izay naniraka azy.
34 Some manuscripts add: But it seemed good to Silas to stay there.
34[ Ampio hoe: 34 Nefa mbola sitrak'i Silasy ny hitoetra ao]
35But Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
35Ary Paoly sy Barnabasy kosa nitoetra tany Antiokia; dia nampianatra sy nitory ny tenin'ny Tompo izy roa lahy mbamin'ny maro koa.
36After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”
36[Ny niaingan'i Paoly fanindroany hitety vohitra tany Asia Minora] Ary rehefa afaka andro vitsivitsy, dia hoy Paoly tamin'i Barnabasy: Andeha isika hiverina hamangy ny rahalahy any amin'ny tanàna rehetra izay efa nitoriantsika ny tenin'ny Tompo, hahitantsika izay toetrany.
37Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.
37Ary tian'i Barnabasy ny hitondra an'i Jaona, izay atao hoe Marka, hiaraka aminy.
38But Paul didn’t think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and didn’t go with them to do the work.
38Nefa nataon'i Paoly fa tsy tokony ho entiny miaraka aminy izy, satria nandao azy tany Pamfylia ka tsy niaraka taminy ho any amin'ny raharaha.
39Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away to Cyprus,
39Ary nifanditra mafy izy roa lahy ka nisaraka; ary Barnabasy nitondra an'i Marka, dia niondrana an-tsambo nankany Kyprosy.
40but Paul chose Silas, and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of God.
40Fa Paoly kosa nifidy an'i Silasy, dia niainga, rehefa natolotry ny rahalahy ho amin'ny fahasoavan'ny Tompo izy.Dia nandeha namaky an'i Syria sy Kilikia izy nampahery ny fiangonana tany.
41He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the assemblies.
41Dia nandeha namaky an'i Syria sy Kilikia izy nampahery ny fiangonana tany.
