1“Yes, at this my heart trembles, and is moved out of its place.
1“बज्र, र बिजुलीले मलाई भयभीत पार्छ, छातीभित्र मुटु ढुकढुक गर्छ।
2Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out of his mouth.
2सबैले सुन! परमेश्वरको आवाज बज्र जस्तो सुनिन्छ। परमेश्वरको मुखबाट आउने मेघ गर्जन सुन।
3He sends it forth under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.
3परमेश्वरले आकाशको वारपार आफ्नो बिजुली चम्काउनु हुन्छ अनि यसले सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वी नै चम्काउँछ।
4After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.
4बिजुली चम्केपछि परमेश्वरको गर्जन आवाज सुन्न सकिन्छ। परमेश्वर अद्भूत आवाजले गर्जनु हुन्छ। जब बिजुली चम्कन्छ परमेश्वरको आवाज गर्जन्छ।
5God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can’t comprehend.
5परमेश्वरको गर्जन आवाज चमत्कारमय हुन्छ। उहाँले महान कर्महरू गर्नु हुन्छ जुन हामी बुझ्न सक्तैनौं।
6For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth;’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.
6परमेश्वरले हिंऊलाई भन्नुहुन्छ, ‘पृथ्वीमा झर’ अनि परमेश्वरले वर्षालाई भन्नु हुन्छ, ‘पृथ्वीमाथि खनिईं।’
7He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.
7परमेश्वरले सृष्टी गर्नु भएका सबै मानिसहरूले के गर्नु सकनु हुन्छ बुझुन् भनी उहाँले त्यसो गर्नु हुन्छ। त्यो उहाँको प्रमाण हो।
8Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.
8जनावरहरू आ-आफ्ना ओडारतिर भाग्छन् अनि त्यहाँ बस्छन्।
9Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.
9भुँवरी दक्षिणबाट चल्छ। चिसो हावा उत्तरबाट आउँछ।
10By the breath of God, ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is frozen.
10परमेश्वरको स्वासले वरफ बनाउँछ, अनि समुद्रहरू जमाउँछ।
11Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.
11परमेश्वरले बादलमा पानी भर्नुहुन्छ, अनि गर्जने मेघ फैलाउनु हुन्छ।
12It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,
12परमेश्वरले बादलहरूलाई पृथ्वी वरिपरि बहन आदेश दिनुहुन्छ। बादलहरूले परमेश्वरकै आज्ञा अनुसार काम गर्दछ।
13Whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.
13बाढी ल्याई मानिसहरूलाई सजाय दिन अथवा पानी बर्षाई तिनीहरूमाथि प्रेम दर्शाउन परमेश्वरले बादल ल्याउनु हुन्छ।
14“Listen to this, Job. Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
14अय्यूब, एक मिनट खडा भएर सुन, परमेश्वरले गर्नु भएको ती अनौठा कुराहरू बारे सोच।
15Do you know how God controls them, and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?
15अय्यूब, के तिमी जान्दछौ परमेश्वरले कसरी बादलहरूलाई वशमा राख्नुहुन्छ? के तिमी जान्दछौ परमेश्वरले कसरी बिजुली चम्काउनु हुन्छ?
16Do you know the workings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
16के तिमी जान्दछौ कसरी बादलहरू आकाशमा झुण्डिन्छन्? परमेश्वरले बनाउनु भएका अनौठा सृजनाहरू मध्ये बादल खाली एकमात्र उदाहरण हो। अनि परमेश्वरले ती सबै कुराहरू विषयमा जान्नु हुन्छ।
17You whose clothing is warm, when the earth is still by reason of the south wind?
17तर अय्यूब, तिमीले ती कुराहरू जान्दैनौ। जब तातो हावा दक्षिणबाट आउँदछ तिमीलाई पसिना आएर शरीरक लुगाहरू टाँसिनेछ अनि प्रत्येक चीज जस्ताको त्यस्तै शान्त रहनेछ।
18Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?
18अय्यूब, के तिमीले परमेश्वरलाई आकाश फैलाउन सहयोग गर्न सक्छौ, अनि यसलाई पित्तल जस्तो चम्काउन सक्छौ?
19Teach us what we shall tell him, for we can’t make our case by reason of darkness.
19अय्यूब, बताऊ हामीले परमेश्वरलाई के भन्नु पर्छ! तिम्रो अज्ञानताले गर्दा के भन्नु पर्ने हो हामी सोच्न सक्तैनौ।
20Shall it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?
20म परमेश्वरलाई भन्ने छैन कि म उहाँसँग बोल्न चाहन्छु। त्यो ध्वंश गराई माग्नु बराबर हुनेछ।
21Now men don’t see the light which is bright in the skies, but the wind passes, and clears them.
21एउटा मानिसले घाम हेर्न सक्तैन। बादलहरू हावाले उडाई लगिसके पछि यो आकाशमा अत्यन्त उज्यालो र चम्किलो हुन्छ।
22Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.
22अनि परमेश्वर पनि त्यस्तै हुनुहुन्छ। पवित्र पर्वतबाट परमेश्वरको सुनौलो महिमा चम्कन्छ परमेश्वरको वरिपरि त्यहाँ उज्यालो हुँदछ।
23We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.
23सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर महान हुनुहुन्छ। हामी परमेश्वरलाई बुझ्न सक्तैनौं। परमेश्वर अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली हुनुहुन्छ, तर उहाँ हाम्रो लागि असल र उचित हुनुहुन्छ। परमेश्वरले हामीलाई घात पुर्याउन चाहनुहुन्न।
24Therefore men revere him. He doesn’t regard any who are wise of heart.”
24त्यसैकारण मानिसहरूले परमेश्वरलाई श्रद्धा गर्दछन्। तर परमेश्वरले घमण्डी मानिसहरूलाई आदर गर्नुहुन्न किनभने तिनीहरू आफैलाई ज्ञानी ठान्दछन्।”
