¹Praise Yah! Psalm 111 is an acrostic poem, with each verse after the initial “Praise Yah!” starting with a letter of the alphabet (ordered from Alef to Tav). I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.

¹परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा गर! म परमप्रभुलाई सभामा (जहाँ असल मानिसहरू भेला हुँदछन्) आफ्ना सम्पूर्ण हृदयबाट धन्यवाद दिंदछु।

²Yahweh’s works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.

²परमप्रभुले आश्चर्यकामहरू गर्नुहुन्छ। मानिसहरूले त्यस्तै असल कुराहरू चाहन्छन् जुन परमेश्वरबाट आउँदछ।

³His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.

³परमप्रभुले साँच्चि नै महिमापूर्ण र अचम्मका कामहरू गर्नुभयो। उहाँको धार्मिकता सदा-सर्वदा रहने छ।

⁴He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.

⁴परमेश्वरले आश्चर्यकामहरू गर्नु भएकोले उहाँलाई सम्झिइने कि परमप्रभु कृपालु र करूणामय हुनुहुन्छ।

⁵He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant.

⁵परमेश्वरले आफ्ना अनुयायीहरूलाई भोजन दिनुहुन्छ, उहाँले आफ्नो करार सदा सर्वदा सम्झनु हुन्छ।

⁶He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.

⁶उहाँको प्रभावशाली कर्महरूले प्रमाण दियो कि उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई अन्य जातिहरूको जमीन दिंदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो।

⁷The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.

⁷प्रत्येक कुरा परमेश्वरले धर्मी रूपमा र निष्पक्ष रूपमा गर्नुहुन्छ। उहाँका सारा आज्ञाहरू सबै नै विश्वास योग्यका छन्।

⁸They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.

⁸परमेश्वरका आज्ञाहरू अनन्तसम्म रहनेछन्। ती आज्ञाहरू तिनीहरूलाई दिनुको कारण परमेश्वर इमान्दार र शुद्ध हुनुहुन्छ।

⁹He has sent redemption to his people. He has ordained his covenant forever. His name is holy and awesome!

⁹परमेश्वरले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई बचाउनु भनी कसैलाई पठाउनु भयो। परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूसँग एउटा करार गर्नुभयो जुन सर्वदा रहने छ। परमेश्वरको नाउँ पवित्र र भययोग्य छ।

¹⁰The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

¹⁰ज्ञान परमेश्वरको भय र आदरबाट प्रारम्भ हुन्छ। मानिसहरू जसले परमेश्वरलाई मान्दछ उनीहरू ज्ञानी हुन्। स्तुति प्रशंसाहरू परमेश्वर प्रति सर्वदा गाइनेछ।
