¹God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?

¹हे परमेश्वर, के तपाईंले हामीलाई सधैंको निम्ति त्याग्नु हुन्छ? के तपाईं आफ्ना मानिसहरूसित अझै क्रोधित हुनुहुन्छ?

²Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance; Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

²तपाईंले धेरै अघि किन्नु भएका ती मानिसहरूलाई सम्झनु होस्। तपाईंले हामीलाई बचाउँनु भयो। हामी तपाईं कै सम्पत्ति हौ। जहाँ तपाईं बस्नु भयो, त्यो सियोन पर्वतलाई सम्झनु होस्।

³Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.

³परमेश्वर, यी अनन्त भग्नावशेषहरूबाट हिंडेर आउनु होस्, पवित्र ठाउँमा जुन शत्रुहरूले नष्ट गरेको तर्फ फर्की आउनु होस्।

⁴Your adversaries have roared in the midst of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.

⁴शत्रुहरू मन्दिरमा आफ्नो विजय नारा लगाएर चिच्याए। तिनीहरूले आफ्ना झण्डा युद्ध जित्यौं भनेर भान गर्न मन्दिरमा गाडे।

⁵They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees.

⁵शत्रुका सैनिकहरू यस्ता देखिन्छन् कि घाँस कट्ने मानिसहरू घाँस काटिरहे जस्तो।

⁶हे परमेश्वर, तिनीहरूले आफ्ना बन्चरो र हँसियाहरू चलाउँदै तपाईंको मन्दिरका चौकटहरू काट्दै भत्काउने छन्।

⁷They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.

⁷ती सिपाहीहरूले तपाईंको पवित्र स्थान जलाए। तिनीहरूले त्यो मन्दिर जुन तपाईंको नाउँको सम्मानमा बनिएको थियो भूँईमा लडाए।

⁸They said in their heart, “We will crush them completely.” They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.

⁸शत्रुले हामीलाई पूर्ण रूपले तहस्‌नहस्‌रू पार्ने निर्णय गरे, तिनीहरूले देशमा भएको प्रत्येक चिज र परमेश्वरको पवित्र स्थान जलाए।

⁹We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.

⁹हामीले कुनै पनि हाम्रो चिन्हहरू देख्नसकेनौं। अब त्यहाँ अगमवक्ताहरू छैनन्। के गर्नु पर्ने कसैले जान्दैनन्।

¹⁰How long, God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?

¹⁰हे परमेश्वर, कहिले सम्म शत्रुले हामीलाई खेलौना बनाउने हो? के तपाईं आफ्नो निन्दा गराउन तिनीहरूलाई सधैं दिइरहनुहुन्छ?

¹¹Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it out of your pocket and consume them!

¹¹हे परमेश्वर, तपाईंले यति कठिन दण्ड हामीलाई किन दिनुहुन्छ? तपाईंले आफ्नो महान-शक्तिले हामीलाई पूर्ण रूपमा नष्ट पार्नु भयो।

¹²Yet God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.

¹²हे परमेश्वर, तपाईं लामो समयदेखि हाम्रो राजा हुनु भएको छ, तपाईंले यस देशमा धेरै युद्धहरू जिताउनलाई सहयोग गर्नु भएकोछ।

¹³You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.

¹³हे परमेश्वर, तपाईंले आफ्नो महान् शक्ति प्रयोग गर्नुभयो, समुद्रलाई दुइ भागमा विभाजन गर्नुभयो।

¹⁴You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.

¹⁴तपाईंले विशाल समुद्रको राक्षसहरूलाई जित्नु भयो, तपाईंले लिब्यातानको शिर टुक्रा-टुक्रा पार्नु भयो, अनि त्यसको शरीर जनावरहरूले खाओस् भनेर फाली दिनुभयो।

¹⁵You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.

¹⁵तपाईंले नदीहरू र झर्नाहरू बग्ने बनाउनु भयो अनि तपाईंले नदीहरू सुकाइ दिनुभयो।

¹⁶The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.

¹⁶हे परमेश्वर, तपाईं एक हुनुहुन्छ जसले दिन र रातलाई नियन्त्रण गर्नु हुन्छ। तपाईंले चन्द्रमा र सूर्य बनाउनु भयो।

¹⁷You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.

¹⁷तपाईंले पृथ्वीमा सबै कुराको सीमा बनाइदिनु भयो। अनि तपाईंले ग्रीष्म ऋतु र शिशिर ऋतु बनाउनु भयो।

¹⁸Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, Yahweh. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.

¹⁸हे परमेश्वर, यी कुराहरू सम्झनु होस् कसरी तपाईंको निन्दा भयो। ती मूर्खहरूले तपाईंको नाउँलाई हेला गर्छन्!

¹⁹Don’t deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Don’t forget the life of your poor forever.

¹⁹ती जङ्गली जनावरहरूलाई तपाईंको प्रिय ढुकुरलाई लैजान नदिनुहोस्! तपाईंको प्रिय दीन-दुःखी मानिसहरूलाई कहिल्यै नभुल्नुहोस्!

²⁰Honor your covenant, for haunts of violence fill the dark places of the earth.

²⁰हाम्रो करार याद गर्नुहोस्! यस धर्तीको प्रत्येक अंध्यारो जग्गामा हिंसात्मक रूप छ।

²¹Don’t let the oppressed return ashamed. Let the poor and needy praise your name.

²¹हे परमेश्वर, तपाईंका मानिसहरूलाई र्दुव्यवहार गरियो। प्रति कष्ट दिन तिनीहरूमाथि अझ लज्जित नबनाउनु होस्। दीन-दुःखी, असहाय मानिसहरूले तपाईंको प्रशंसा गर्न सकुन्।

²²Arise, God! Plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.

²²हे परमेश्वर, उठ्नुहोस् र लडाइँ गर्नुहोस्! सम्झनुहोस्, ती मूर्खहरूले तपाईंलाई दिएका चेतावनी!

²³Don’t forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.

²³तपाईंका शत्रुहरूको चिच्याहटलाई नभुल्नुहोस्, तिनीहरूले घरि-घरि तपाईंको अपमान गरे।
