¹For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.

¹ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭਵਿਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਧੁਂਦਲੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸਲੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਉਹੀ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚਢ਼ਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹੀ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚਢ਼ਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੀ।

²Or else wouldn’t they have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins?

²ਜੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਪਾਕ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੁੰਦੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਸੂਰਵਾਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਰਨਾ। ਪਰ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਇਹ ਕਰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ।

³But in those sacrifices there is a yearly reminder of sins.

³ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਕਰਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,

⁴For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.

⁴ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਹਿਡ਼ਕਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ।

⁵Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, “Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire, but you prepared a body for me;

⁵ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ; “ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਟਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

⁶ਤੂੰ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡ਼ੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।

⁷Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’” Psalm 40:6-8

⁷ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਇਥ੍ਥੇ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।”‘ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 40:6-8

⁸Previously saying, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them” (those which are offered according to the law),

⁸ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਢ਼ਾਵਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਲੋਡ਼ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤੂੰ ਹੋਮ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।” ਇਹ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

⁹then he has said, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,

⁹ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਜਰ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹਾ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਾਹ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

¹⁰by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

¹⁰ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਗ਼ਲ੍ਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਣ, ਅਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ। ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਬਲੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹੈ।

¹¹Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins,

¹¹ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼, ਜਾਜਕ ਖਲੋਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ।

¹²but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;

¹²ਪਰ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਬਲੀ ਚਢ਼ਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਰਬ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮਸੀਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ।

¹³from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet.

¹³ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮਸੀਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲਿਆਏ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

¹⁴For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

¹⁴ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਬਲੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

¹⁵The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying,

¹⁵ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਸਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ;

¹⁶“This is the covenant that I will make with them: ‘After those days,’ says the Lord, ‘I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;’” Jeremiah 31:33 then he says,

¹⁶“ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਰਾਰ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਵਿਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ 31:33

¹⁷“I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.” Jeremiah 31:34

¹⁷ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ; “ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਉਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ - ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।” ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ 31:34

¹⁸Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

¹⁸ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਬਲੀ ਚਢ਼ਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋਡ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

¹⁹Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

¹⁹ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਹ ਬਿਨਾ ਡਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

²⁰by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

²⁰ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਰਾਹ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਸਜੀਵ ਰਾਹ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਾਹ ਪਰਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਹੈ।

²¹and having a great priest over God’s house,

²¹ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

²²let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,

²²ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਧੋ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਦਿਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੇ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਆਓ।

²³let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.

²³ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਉਮੀਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਸ੍ਸ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਡ਼ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਂਝਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਸਨੇ ਵਾਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

²⁴Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works,

²⁴ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸਾਹਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

²⁵not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.

²⁵ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਦਿਹਾਡ਼ਾ ਨੇਡ਼ੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

²⁶For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,

²⁶ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਵੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖੋਂਗੇ, ਉਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਬਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ।

²⁷but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries.

²⁷ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਚਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਸ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕਹਿਰੀ ਅੱਗ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੀਏ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਨਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

²⁸A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.

²⁸ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਜਾਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਗਵਾਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਸੂਰਵਾਰ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

²⁹How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

²⁹ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖਿਆਲ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਸਲੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਆਦਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਵਾਂ ਕਰਾਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਲਹੂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਆਤਮੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਈ ਹੈ।

³⁰For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me,” says the Lord, “I will repay.” Deuteronomy 32:35 Again, “The Lord will judge his people.” Deuteronomy 32:36; Psalm 135:14

³⁰ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”

³¹It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

³¹ਇੱਕ ਪਾਪੀ ਲਈ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਸ੍ਸ ਪੈਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

³²But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings;

³²ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਿਆਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਹਿਲ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਗ਼ਿਆਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਦ੍ਦੋ-ਜਹਿਦ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਈ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣੇ ਰਹੇ।

³³partly, being exposed to both reproaches and oppressions; and partly, becoming partakers with those who were treated so.

³³ਕਈ ਵਾਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਇਆ। ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਦੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

³⁴For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens.

³⁴ਹਾਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕੈਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਸੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਖੋਹ ਲਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਝ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।

³⁵Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.

³⁵ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਹਾਰੋ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੌਂਸਲੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।

³⁶For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

³⁶ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਵਸ਼ ਹੀ ਸਬਰ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉਹੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਵਾਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

³⁷“In a very little while, he who comes will come, and will not wait.

³⁷ਥੋਡ਼ੇ ਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ, “ਉਹ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਦੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

³⁸But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” Habakkuk 2:3-4

³⁸ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਸਥਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਡ਼ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਹਬੱਕੂਕ 2:3-4

³⁹But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.

³⁹ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਮੁਡ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਚ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ। ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਰਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ।
