1Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus;
1ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਘਲਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
2who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house.
2ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਘਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣਇਆ। ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
3For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who built the house has more honor than the house.
3ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਘਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਘਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮੂਸਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
4For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.
4ਹਰ ਘਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਾਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
5Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,
5ਮੂਸਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਿਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ।
6but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.
6ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹਾਂ। ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਦ੍ਰਿਢ਼ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਇੰਨੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹਾਂ।
7Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,
7ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਕਥਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ; “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ,
8don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
8ਤਾਂ ਬੀਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਦੀ ਨਾ ਬਣੋ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੀ। ਉਹੀ ਮਸਆਂ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਡ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਖਿਆ।
9where your fathers tested me by proving me, and saw my works for forty years.
9ਚਾਲੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਬਰ ਦਾ ਇਮਤਿਹਾਨ ਲਿਆ।
10Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways;’
10ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਸਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ।’
11as I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’” Psalm 95:7-11
11ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਕੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ; ‘ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਰਾਮਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ।”‘ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 95:7-11
12Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;
12ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਸਚੇਤ ਰਹੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲ ਵੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਘਨ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
13but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
13ਪਰ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਕਰੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ “ਅੱਜ ਦਿਨ” ਹਾਲੇ ਇਥੇ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਥ੍ਥਰ ਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਪਾਪ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
14For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end:
14ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇਦਾਰ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸੇ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਤੀਕ ਚੱਲੀਏ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ।
15while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.” Psalm 95:7-8
15ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ; “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਅਤੀਤ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਦੀ ਨਾ ਬਣੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸੀ।” ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 95:7-8
16For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, didn’t all those who came out of Egypt by Moses?
16ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਕੌਣ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਨ? ਇਹ ਉਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਏ ਗਏ ਸੀ।
17With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
17ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚਾਲੀ ਸਾਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਰਾਜ਼ ਸੀ? ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਰਾਜ਼ ਸੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ।
18To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?
18ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਕੌਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਣਗੇ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ।
19We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
19ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ।
