4

1Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
1ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਤਿਆਏ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਉਜਾਡ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ।
2When he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.
2ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਖਾਧਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਭੁਖ ਲੱਗੀ।
3The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
3ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਣ।”
4But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”
4ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ: ‘ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨਿਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਉਸ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਾਕ ਉੱਪਰ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ।”‘ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ 8:3
5Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,
5ਫੇਰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਬਡ਼ੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਡ਼ਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ,
6and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you.’ and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’”
6“ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡੇਗ ਦੇ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ‘ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈਣਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਵਜ੍ਜਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਸਕੇਂ।”‘ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 91:11-12
7Jesus said to him, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’”
7ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ‘ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।”‘ਬਿਵਸਥਾ 6:16
8Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory.
8ਫੇਰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾਡ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਲੌਂ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ।
9He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”
9ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਥਾ ਟੇਕੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।”
10Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”
10ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ! ਤੂੰ ਇਥੋਂ ਚਲਿਆ ਜਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ‘ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਥਾ ਟੇਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇੱਕਲੇ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ।”‘ਬਿਵਸਥਾ 6:13
11Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and served him.
11ਤਦ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦੂਤ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਅਰੰਭਿਆ
12Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.
12ਜਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਕੈਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗਲੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
13Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
13ਉਸਨੇ ਨਾਸਰਤ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਹ ਨਗਰ ਇੱਕ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਨੇਡ਼ੇ ਹੈ। ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਥਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
14that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
14ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
15“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,
15“ਜ਼ਬੂਲੂਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਥਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ, ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ, ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਗਲੀਲ
16the people who sat in darkness saw a great light, to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them light has dawned.”
16ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ; ਚਾਨਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।” ਯਸਾਯਾਹ 9:1-2
17From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
17ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਸਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਵਰਗ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਨੇਡ਼ੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”
18Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
18ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਦੋ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਪਤਰਸ ਕਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮਾਛੀ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਜਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਛੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਡ਼ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
19He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”
19ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਮਗਰ ਆਓ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਾਛੀ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”
20They immediately left their nets and followed him.
20ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਜਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੇ।
21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.
21ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਕੇ ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਡ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ, ਜਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਿਆ
22They immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.
22ਉਹ ਝੱਟ ਬੇਡ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਕੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੇ।
23Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
23ਯਿਸੂ ਸਾਰੀ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਰਿਆ। ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਾਂਦਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
24The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.
24ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਸੁਰੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ। ਲੋਕ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦਰਦ ਝੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੂਤ ਚਿੰਬਡ਼ੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਮਿਰਗੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਏ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
25Great multitudes from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
