¹I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him a number, one hundred forty-four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads.

¹ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਤਕਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਲੇਲਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਜ਼ੀਉਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਲਖ ਚੁਤਾਲੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਥਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

²I heard a sound from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of a great thunder. The sound which I heard was like that of harpists playing on their harps.

²ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਹਢ਼ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਗਰਜ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ। ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਬਾਬ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ।

³They sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth.

³ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਖਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਸਜੀਵ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਗੀਤ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਲਖ੍ਖ ਚੁਤਾਲੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਹੀ ਸਿਖ੍ਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਖਰੀਦੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਇਸ ਗੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਗਾ ਸਕਿਆ।

⁴These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.

⁴ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਲਖ੍ਖ ਚੁਤਾਲੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਉਹੀ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਲੇਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਛਾ ਕਰਦੇ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹੀ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਣ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

⁵In their mouth was found no lie, for they are blameless. TR adds “before the throne of God”

⁵ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਸਨ।

⁶I saw an angel flying in mid heaven, having an eternal Good News to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, tribe, language, and people.

⁶ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚਾ ਉਡਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੂਤ ਕੋਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ - ਹਰ ਕੌਮ, ਕਬੀਲੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।

⁷He said with a loud voice, “Fear the Lord, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters!”

⁷ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦਿਉ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਉਸਨੇ ਸਵਰਗ, ਧਰਈ, ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਚਸ਼ਮੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹਨ।"

⁸Another, a second angel, followed, saying, “Babylon the great has fallen, which has made all the nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality.”

⁸ਫ਼ਿਰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੂਤ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਦੂਤ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਏ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਉਹ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਬੇਬੀਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਨਗਰੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਮੈ ਪੀਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਲਾਇਆ।"

⁹Another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead, or on his hand,

⁹ਦੋਨਾਂ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਦੂਤ ਆਇਆ। ਇਸ ਤੀਜੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਥ੍ਥੇ ਜਾਂ ਹੱਥ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

¹⁰he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.

¹⁰ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੈ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਨ ਪਤਲੀ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਵਰਤਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਗੰਧਕ ਨਾਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

¹¹The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.

¹¹ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਲਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਪੀਡ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਧੂਂਆਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ-ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਉੱਡਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਓਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਦਿਨ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

¹²Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

¹²ਇਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ (ਆਸਥਾਵਾਨਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਧੀਰਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਨਣ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਰੱਖਣ।

¹³I heard the voice from heaven saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.”

¹³ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ। ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਇਸਨੂੰ ਲਿਖੋ; ਧੰਨ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਹੁਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹੀਣ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।" ਆਤਮਾ ਆਖਦਾ, "ਹਾਂ, ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਡ਼ੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ। ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਕੰਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।"

¹⁴I looked, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud one sitting like a son of man, Daniel 7:13 having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

¹⁴ਮੈਂ ਤਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇੱਕ ਚਿਟ੍ਟਾ ਬੱਦਲ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਚਿਟ੍ਟੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਨਿਹਰੀ ਤਾਜ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਸੀ।

¹⁵Another angel came out from the temple, crying with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Send forth your sickle, and reap; for the hour to reap has come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe!”

¹⁵ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਤ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ। ਇਸ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਬੱਦਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਇਕਠ੍ਠੀ ਕਰ। ਵਾਢੀ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਪਕ੍ਕ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੈ।"

¹⁶He who sat on the cloud thrust his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

¹⁶ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਬੱਦਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ, ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦੀ ਵਢਾਈ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

¹⁷Another angel came out from the temple which is in heaven. He also had a sharp sickle.

¹⁷ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਤ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ। ਇਸ ਦੂਤ ਕੋਲ ਵੀ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਸੀ।

¹⁸Another angel came out from the altar, he who has power over fire, and he called with a great voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Send forth your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for the earth’s grapes are fully ripe!”

¹⁸ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਤ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ। ਇਸ ਦੂਤ ਕੋਲ ਅੱਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਦਿਆ। ਜਿਸ੍ਸ ਕੋਲ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਆਪਣੀ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਤੋਡ਼। ਅੰਗੂਰ ਪਕ੍ਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

¹⁹The angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vintage of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

¹⁹ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੱਲ ਵਗਾਈ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਘੁਲਾਡ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

²⁰The winepress was trodden outside of the city, and blood came out from the winepress, even to the bridles of the horses, as far as one thousand six hundred stadia. 1600 stadia = 296 kilometers or 184 miles

²⁰ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੁਲਾਡ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਢ਼ਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਘੁਲਾਡ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲਹੂ ਚੋਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਇਹ 200 ਮੀਲ ਤੱਕ ਘੋਡ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਉਠ ਗਿਆ।
