1 Chronicles

15

1David made him houses in the city of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
1Huchiin David khopi sungah Davidin inte a kibawla; huan Pathian bawm adingin mun a bawla, puanin a kaih sakta hi.
2Then David said, “No one ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites. For Yahweh has chosen them to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever.”
2Huailaiin Davidin, Levi mite chihlouhngal kuamahin Pathian bawm a po ding uh ahi kei: TOUPAN lah amau Pathian bawm po ding leh khantawna amah na sepsak dingin amaute a natelta ngala, achia.
3David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh to its place, which he had prepared for it.
3Huan a mun, a bawlsaksaa TOUPA bawm honla tou dingin, Davidin Jerusalem ah Israel tengteng a kaikhawmta hi.
4David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:
4Huchiin Davidin Aron tapate leh Levi mite a khawma:
5of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;
5Kohath tapate lakah; Uriel a pipen leh a unaute ja leh sawmnih:
6of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;
6Merrari tapate lakah; Asai a pipen leh a unaute za nih sawmnih:
7of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;
7Gersom tapate lakah: Joel a pipen leh a unaute ja leh sawmthum:
8of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;
8Elizaphan tapate lakah; Semai a pipen leh a unaute za nih:
9of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;
9Hebron tapate lakah; Eliel a pipen leh a unaute sawmgiat:
10of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers one hundred twelve.
10Uzziel tapate lakah; Amminadab a pipen leh a unaute ja leh sawmlehnih.
11David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
11Huan Davidin Zadok leh Abiathar siampute, Levi mite, Uri, Asai, Joel, Semai, Eliel, leh Amminadab a sam saka,
12and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.
12A kiang uah, Noute Levi mite pipute inkote lupente na hi ua: kihihsiang unla, nou leh na unaute uh, mun ka bawlsak saa Israel Pathian, TOUPA bawm na lak theihna ding un.
13For because you didn’t carry it at first, Yahweh our God made broke out against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”
13A masapena na puak louh jiak un, TOUPA i Pathian un i tunguah thuchiam a bawla, hihdingdan dungjuiin lah amah i zong ngal kei ua, a chi a.
14So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
14Huchiin siampute leh Levi mite, Israel Pathian, TOUPA bawm la tou dingin a kisiangsak uhi.
15The children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of Yahweh.
15Huan Mosiin TOUPA thu banga thu a piak bangin Levi taten a liang jang uah huaia chiang tawntein Pathian bawm a jawngta uhi.
16David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, stringed instruments and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.
16Huan Davidin Levi mi pipente kiangah a unaute uh lasamite tum gingtheihte toh, pekging guisawmneite leh kaihgingte leh dakkhutbette, ngaihtaka ging leh nuamsaa aw suah ding sep dingin a hilh hi.
17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
17Huchiin Levi miten Joel tapa Heman a sep ua; huan a unaute lakah, Asaph Berekia tapa; huan Merari tapate a unaute uh lakah, Kusai tapa Ethan;
18and with them their brothers of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.
18Huan amau toh a unaute uh pawl nihnnate, Zekaria, Ben, Jaaziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaia, Maasei, Mattithia, Eliphelehu, Miknei, Obed-edom, Jeiel, kongkhakngakmite.
19So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of brass to sound aloud;
19Huchiin lasamite, Heman, Asaph, Ethen te sehin a omta ua, ngaihtaka tum ding, dal dakkhutbette toh;
20and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;
20Huan Zekaria, Aziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maasei, Benai, pekging guisawmneite Alamoth toh kituaka bawl toh;
21and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.
21Huan Mattithia, Eliphelehu, Minei, Obed-edom, Jeiel, Azazia, kaihgingte Seminit toh bawl, makai dingin.
22Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.
22Huan Kenania, Levi mite laka a pipen, lapuin a panga: a siam jiakin, la hilhin a pang hi.
23Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
23Huan Berekia leh Elkana bawm adia kongkhak ngakmitein a om uhi.
24Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24Huan Sebania, Josaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zekaria, Benai, Eliezer, siamputen, Pathian bawm maah pengkulte a mut ua: huan Obededom leh Jehia bawm adinga kongkhakngakmitein a om uhi.
25So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
25Huchiin David leh, Israel upate leh, sangte tunga heutute, Obed-edom in akipan TOUPA thukhunna bawm nuamna toh a vala tou dingin a kuanta ua;
26It happened, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, that they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
26Huan hichi ahi a, Pathianin TOUPA bawm jawng Levi mite a panpih laiin, amau bawngtal sagih leh belamtal sagihin a kithoih uhi.
27David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: and David had on him an ephod of linen.
27Huan David puanmalngat hoih puannaktualin a kijema, huan bawm jawng Levi mite tengteng leh, lasamite leh, la heutupa Kenania lasamite toh: huan Davidin puanmalngat siampulian puannak a silh hi.
28Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.
28Huchibangin Israel tengtengin TOUPA thukhunna bawm kikou kawm leh, pengkul ging binei toh, pengkulte toh, dakkhutbette toh pekging guisawmneite leh kaihgingte ngaihtaka ging toh, a honla touta uhi.Huan hichi ahi a, TOUPA thukhunna bawm David khopi a hong tunin, Saul tanu Mikal tohlet ah a dak khiaa, David lam leh mawl a mutaa; a lungtangin a musitta hi.
29It happened, as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
29Huan hichi ahi a, TOUPA thukhunna bawm David khopi a hong tunin, Saul tanu Mikal tohlet ah a dak khiaa, David lam leh mawl a mutaa; a lungtangin a musitta hi.
