1 John

4

1Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1Deihtakte aw, kha napeuh gingta kei un, a hihhangin khate tuh Pathian akipan ahi uhiam hi lou chian un; jawlnei taklou tampi khovela a napawt tak jiak un.
2By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,
2Hiaiah Pathian Kha na thei ding uh, bang kha peuh Jesu Kris sain ahongpai chih gum tuh, Pathian akipan ahi;
3and every spirit who doesn’t confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God, and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.
3Bang kha peuh Jesu gum lou tuh, Pathian akipan ahi kei; huai tuh Kris doumi kha, hongpai ding na jak uh ahi; tuin khovel ah a om khinpah hi.
4You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
4Naute aw, Pathian akipan na hi ua, tuate na zouta uhi; noumaua om tuh khovela om sanga a thupijawk jiakin.
5They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
5Amau tuh khovela ahi ua; huaijiakin khovela bangin a pau ua, khovelin a thu uh a ngaikhe naknak.
6We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn’t listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
6Eite Pathian akipan i hi ua, Pathian theimiten i thu angaikhe jel uhi; Pathian akipanlou miten i thu a ngaikhe kei naknak uh. Hiai khawnga Thutak Kha leh thutaklou kha i thei uhi.
7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.
7Deihtakte aw, i kiit tuah chiat ding uh; itna Pathiana suak ahi ngala, mi chih itna nei peuhmah tuh Pathianaa suak ahi khin uhi, Pathian a thei lai uhi.
8He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.
8itna neilouin Pathian a theikei; Pathian lah itna ahi ngala.
9By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
9Hiaiah Pathian itna i tung ua a honglangta, amah vanga i hin theihna dingin Pathianin a Tapa neihsun khovela a honsawlna ah;
10In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
10Hiaiah itna a om, eiten Pathian i it uh ka chi ahi kei, amahin ahonit a, i khelhnate thuphatawina hi dingin, a Tapa a honsawl ka chi ahi jaw.
11Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
11Deihtakte aw, Pathianin huchi tela a honit leh, eite leng i kiit tuah chiat ding hi.
12No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
12Kuamahin chiklai mahin Pathian a mu ngei kei. i kiit tuah chiat uleh Pathian eimau ah a om gige dia, a itna leng eimau ah a kim lai ding hi.
13By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
13Amah ah i om gige chih leh amah eimau ah a om gige chih hiaiah i thei, a Kha a honpiak tak jiakin.
14We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.
14Huan, Pain Tapa khovel Hondampa hihna neiin a honsawl chih i muta ua, i theisak uhi.
15Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
15Kuapeuh Jesu Pathian Tapa ahi, chia gum tuh, amah ah Pathian a om gige a, amah leng Pathian ah a om gige a, amah leng Pathian a om gige hi.
16We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
16Pathianin eimaua dia itna a neih tuh i thei ua, i gingta lai uhi. Pathian itna ahi; itnaa om gige tuh, Pathian ah a om gigea, Pathian leng amahah a om gige ahi.
17In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.
17Hiaiah i tunguah itna a kimta, vaihawm nia ding lau loua i om theihna ah; amah om banga khovela i om jiakin.
18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
18itan ah tuh launa himhim a om kei, itan kimin lauhna a delhkhe zo jel hi, lauhna in gawtna hon-ngaihtuahsak; a laumi tuh itna ah a kim tadih kei ahi.
19We love him, because he first loved us.
19Aman a honit masak jiakin, i it uhi.
20If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
20Min, Pathian ka it, chiin, a unau ho ngal leh, amah tuh juauthei ahi; a unau a muhsa bawn a it ken, Pathian a muh ngei louhpi bangchin a it thei dia?Amah kianga kipanin hiai thupiak i nei uh, Kuapeuhin Pathian a it leh, a unau leng a it sam ding ahi, chih.
21This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
21Amah kianga kipanin hiai thupiak i nei uh, Kuapeuhin Pathian a it leh, a unau leng a it sam ding ahi, chih.
