1 Samuel

26

1The Ziphites came to Saul to Gibeah, saying, “Doesn’t David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before the desert?”
1Huan, Zipte bel Gibea ah Saula kiangah a hoh ua, David gamdai china Hakila tangah a bu ahi kei maw? chiin a vagen ua.
2Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.
2Huchiin Saula a thou a, Zip gamdai ah Israel mite lak akipan telkhiak chiat mi sang thum piin Zip gamdai ah David zong dingin a hoh sukta uh.
3Saul encamped in the hill of Hachilah, which is before the desert, by the way. But David stayed in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.
3Huan, Saulain gamdai chin, lamkalah Hakila tangah panmun a bawla. David bel gamdai ah a om theka; huan, Saula amah zongin gamdai ah a hong chih a thei a.
4David therefore sent out spies, and understood that Saul had certainly come.
4Huaijiakin Davidin enkhemite a sawla, Saula a hong taktak chih a thei telta hi.
5David arose, and came to the place where Saul had encamped; and David saw the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his army: and Saul lay within the place of the wagons, and the people were encamped around him.
5Huan, David a thou a, Saula panmun bawlna ah a hoha: huan, Davidin Saula leh a sepaih heutu, Ner tapa Abner lupna a mu a: Saula bel kangtalai umsungah a luma, a kimah miten ommun a bawl uh.
6Then answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, “Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp?” Abishai said, “I will go down with you.”
6Huchiin Davidin Hit mi Abimelek leh Joab unau Zerui tapa Abisai kiangah, Saula panmunah kua ahia ka kianga hong ding? Chiin a gen a. Huan, Abisaiin, kei na kiangah ka hongsuk sam ding, a chi a.
7So David and Abishai came to the people by night: and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the place of the wagons, with his spear stuck in the ground at his head; and Abner and the people lay around him.
7Huchiin David leh Abisai mipite omna ah janin a vahoh ua: huan, ngaiin, Saula bel kangtalai umsungah a naluma, a lu lamah a teipi lei ah a siat tala: Abner leh mite bel a kimah a lum ua.
8Then Abishai said to David, “God has delivered up your enemy into your hand this day. Now therefore please let me strike him with the spear to the earth at one stroke, and I will not strike him the second time.”
8Huan, Abisaiin David kiangah, tuniin Pathianin na melma na khuta honpia ei ve; huaijiakin teipiin khatveiin leiah kon sun den suk ding aw? ka sun tuan nawn kei ding, a chi a.
9David said to Abishai, “Don’t destroy him; for who can put forth his hand against Yahweh’s anointed, and be guiltless?”
9Himahleh Davidin Abisai kiangah, hihmang thang ken, TOUPA sathau nilh tunga khut khaa mohlou kua a om theia? A chi a.
10David said, “As Yahweh lives, Yahweh will strike him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall go down into battle and perish.
10Huan, David mahin, TOUPA hinna louin ka gen hi. TOUPAN a tungah khut kha na ve: a hihkeileh leng a sih ni a hongtungna ding; ahihkeileh leng, kidouna ah a hoh dia, a mangthang mai ding.
11Yahweh forbid that I should put forth my hand against Yahweh’s anointed; but now please take the spear that is at his head, and the jar of water, and let us go.”
11TOUPA sathau nilh tungah khut ka kha het kei ding: a lu kiang china teipi leh tuithawl ahihleh la lechin ake, huan I pai ding, a chi a.
12So David took the spear and the jar of water from Saul’s head; and they went away: and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither did any awake; for they were all asleep, because a deep sleep from Yahweh was fallen on them.
12Huchiin Davidin Saula lu kiangchina teipi leh tuithawl a laa, a pai nawnta ua, kuamahin a mu kei ua, kuamahin a phawk un a khanglou sam kei uh: TOUPAN nuamtaka a ihmut sak jiakin a ihmu vek uhi.
13Then David went over to the other side, and stood on the top of the mountain afar off; a great space being between them;
13Huchiin David bel gal khat lamah a hoha, gamla kuamah mualvum ah a dinga; a kikal uh gamlapi ahi.
14and David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying, “Don’t you answer, Abner?” Then Abner answered, “Who are you who cries to the king?”
14Huan, Davidin mipite leh Ner tapa Abner bel, Abner, na hondawng kei dia hia? chiin a sama. Huchiin Abnerin a dawnga, Kumpipa sam vial kua na hia? a chi a.
15David said to Abner, “Aren’t you a man? Who is like you in Israel? Why then have you not kept watch over your lord, the king? For one of the people came in to destroy the king your lord.
15Huan, Davidin Abner kiangah, mi hangsan na hi kei maw? Israelte lakah nang bang kua a oma? Bangchidan ahia kumpipa na pu na ven louh? Kumpipa na pu hihmang dingin kua hiam khat a hongpai hi.
16This thing isn’t good that you have done. As Yahweh lives, you are worthy to die, because you have not kept watch over your lord, Yahweh’s anointed. Now see where the king’s spear is, and the jar of water that was at his head.”
16Na thilhih dan a hoih kei. TOUPA hinna louin ka gen hi, TOUPA sathau nilh na pu na ven hoih louh jiakin si mai dia kilawm na hi. Kumpipa lu china teipi leh tuithawl om koia om a hitaa en him dih, a chi a.
17Saul knew David’s voice, and said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” David said, “It is my voice, my lord, O king.”
17Huan, Saulain David aw a theia, tua na aw hia, ka tapa David? A chi a. Huan, Davidin, he toupa, kumpipa aw, ka aw ahi a, a chi a.
18He said, “Why does my lord pursue after his servant? For what have I done? Or what evil is in my hand?
18Huan, bangjiakin ahia ka puin a sikha a delh? Bang thil ka hiha ahia? a khut ah thil gilou banga hia om?
19Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that Yahweh has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, they are cursed before Yahweh; for they have driven me out this day that I shouldn’t cling to Yahweh’s inheritance, saying, ‘Go, serve other gods!’
19Huaijiakin toupa, ka puin a sikha thu ngaikhia hen. Kei dou dinga na lungtang tokthoupa TOUPA a hihleh thillat pom teitei henla; mihing tate a hih uleh bel TOUPA ah hamse thuakin om uhen, pai inla, pathian dangte na semin, chia TOUPA gou ka luah theihlouhna dinga tunia hondelh mang lah ahi ngal ua.
20Now therefore, don’t let my blood fall to the earth away from the presence of Yahweh; for the king of Israel has come out to seek a flea, as when one hunts a partridge in the mountains.”
20Huaijiakin ka sisan TOUPA muh phak louhin leiah luang kei heh; vengkeng gem dinga tang khawnga mi a gamvak bang un Israel kumpipa uihik leltak zong dinga pai khia ei ve, a chi a.
21Then Saul said, “I have sinned. Return, my son David; for I will no more do you harm, because my life was precious in your eyes this day. Behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.”
21Huchiin Saulain, ka nakhialta hi; ka tapa David, hongpai nawn in: tunia na mitmuha ka hinna a manphat mahmah jiakin bangmah himhim ka hihta kei ding hi: ngai in, thil haihuai mahmah ka nahihtaa, ka nak khelh mahmah hi, a chi a.
22David answered, “Behold the spear, O king! Then let one of the young men come over and get it.
22Huan, Davidin a dawnga, toupa aw, teipi en dih, tangval khat hong henla hong la hen.
23Yahweh will render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; because Yahweh delivered you into my hand today, and I wouldn’t put forth my hand against Yahweh’s anointed.
23Huan, TOUPAN mi chih a diktat man uleh a muanhuai man uh a pe sina: tuniin TOUPAN ka khut ah nang a honpe naa, TOUPA sathau nilh tungah ka khut ka lik nuam keia ahi.
24Behold, as your life was respected this day in my eyes, so let my life be respected in the eyes of Yahweh, and let him deliver me out of all oppression.”
24Huan, ngaiin, tunia na hinna ka honmantamsak mahmah bangin TOUPAN ka hinna hon mantamsak henla, mangbatna tengteng akipan hon honkhe leh, a chi a.Huchiin Saulain David kiangah, ka tapa David, vualjawlin omin; thilhihtheitak in na om dinga, na zou jel ding, a chi a. 25Then Saul said to David, “You are blessed, my son David. You shall both do mightily, and shall surely prevail.” So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.
25Huchiin Saulain David kiangah, ka tapa David, vualjawlin omin; thilhihtheitak in na om dinga, na zou jel ding, a chi a. Huchiin David a paia, huan, Saula a mun lamah a pai nawnta hi.
