1Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, even the elders, and to those who brought up the sons of Ahab, saying,
1Ahabin Samari ah tapa sawmsagih a neia. Huan, Jehuin Samari ah, Jezreel kho heutu, upate kiangah leh Ahab tate nadonteimite kiangah, laikhakte a gelha a khaka,
2“Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master’s sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, a fortified city also, and armor.
2Hiai laikhak na muh tak un, na pu tate uh na kiang uah a om ahi, huan, kangtalaite, sakolte, kulhpi nei khuate leng, galvante toh na nei uh;
3Select the best and fittest of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.”
3Huchiin napu uh tate laka mi a hoihpen leh a kizenpen zongkhia unla, a pa laltutphah ah tusak unla, na pu uh inkote dou doupih un, chiin.
4But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, “Behold, the two kings didn’t stand before him! How then shall we stand?”
4Himahleh amau nakpiin a lau ua, Ngai dih ua, kumpipa nihten a zohlouh sa uh ahi a, en bangchiin I zou mahmah dia? A chi ua.
5He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”
5Huan, kumpipa in sung heutupen te, khopi ukpente, upate, naupangte na nadawn tei mite toh Jehu kiangah, Na sikhate ka hi uh, hih dinga non hilhhilh ka hih jel ding uh; kuamah kumpipa dingin ka bawl kei ding uh; nang hoih na saksakin hihin, chiin mi a sawl ua.
6Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, “If you are on my side, and if you will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time.” Now the king’s sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who brought them up.
6Huan, a kiang uah, Kei lama pang na hih ua, ka thu na man ding uleh na pute uh tapate lu honla unla, jingchiangin hichih hun main Jezreel khua ah ka kiangah hong un, chiin lai a khak nawn a. Kumpipa tapate bel sawmsagih ahi ua, khopi mi liante, amau donteimite kiangah a om uh.
7It happened, when the letter came to them, that they took the king’s sons, and killed them, even seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to him to Jezreel.
7Huan, laikhak a muh un hichi ahi a, kumpipa tapate a man ua, a sawmsagihin athat ua, a lu uh bawmpi ah a koih uh. Jezreel khua ah a kiangah a khakta uh.
8A messenger came, and told him, “They have brought the heads of the king’s sons.” He said, “Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.”
8Huan, tangkou a hongtunga, Kumpipa tapate lu a hongla uh, chiin a hilh ua. Huan, aman, Kulh lutna kongpi chinah mun nihin se khawm unla, jingchiang phain om hen, a chi a.
9It happened in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, “You are righteous. Behold, I conspired against my master, and killed him; but who struck all these?
9Huan, a jingchiangin hichi ahi a, a vapawta, a dinga, mi tengteng kiangah, Mi kizen na hi uh; ngai un, ka pu ka sawma, ka hihlumtaa; a hihleh, hiaite tengtengkua thah ahia leh?
10Know now that nothing shall fall to the earth of the word of Yahweh, which Yahweh spoke concerning the house of Ahab. For Yahweh has done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah.”
10Toupan Ahab inkote tungtang thu agen, Toupa thu leiah a luang mang hetkei ding chih thei un; Toupan a sikha Elija zanga a gen a hontung sakta ahi, a chi a.
11So Jehu struck all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, with all his great men, his familiar friends, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
11Huchiin Jehuin Jezreel khua ahab inkote a omsun teng leh, a mi lian tengteng uh, leh a lawmte tengteng leh, a siampute khat lel leng hawisak hetlouin a thatsiang veka.
12He arose and departed, and went to Samaria. As he was at the shearing house of the shepherds on the way,
12Huan, a thou a, a pawta, Samari ah a hohta hi. Huan, lampi a belampute belam mul metna in a vatunin,
13Jehu met with the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, “Who are you?” They answered, “We are the brothers of Ahaziah. We are going down to greet the children of the king and the children of the queen.”
13Jehuin Juda kumpipa Ahazia unaute a mua, Kuate na hi ua? A chi a. Huan, amau, Ahazia unuate ka hi uh, Kumpipa tate leh kumpinu tate chibai vabuk dinga kisa ka hi uh, chiin a dawng ua.
14He said, “Take them alive!” They took them alive, and killed them at the pit of the shearing house, even forty-two men. He didn’t leave any of them.
14Huan, aman, Hing mat un, a chi a. Huchiin a hingmat ua, belam mul metna in khuk chinah a that ua, mi sawmli leh nih taka hi ua; khat leng a hawikei uh.
15When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered, “It is.” “If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.
15Huan, huai akipan a pawt nungin Rekab tapa Jehonadab, amah dawn ding a hongpai a vamu a; huchiin chibai a buka, a kiangah, na tunga lungsim dik ka pubangin, lungsim dik na pu sam na hia? A chi a. Jehonadab in, Pu e, chiin a dawnga. Ahihleh na khut honpe dih a chi a. Huchiin a khut a piaa, huan, aman a kiangah kangtalai sungah akai lut a.
16He said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for Yahweh.” So they made him ride in his chariot.
16Huan, aman, ka kiangah hong tei inla, Toupa adia phatuam ka ngaihdan mu himhim dih, a chi a. Huchiin a kangtalai ah a tuangsak a.
17When he came to Samaria, he struck all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed him, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke to Elijah.
17Huan, Samari a va tunin Ahab inkote Samari a omsunte a hihman khit vek masiaha that jela, Elija kianga a gen Toupa thu bang ngeiin.
18Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu will serve him much.
18Huan, Jehuin mipite tengteng a sam khawma, a kiang uah, Ahabin Baal na a sem zek phet ahi a, Jehuin bel nakpi takin ahi a bawl sin.
19Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all of his worshippers, and all of his priests. Let none be absent; for I have a great sacrifice to Baal. Whoever is absent, he shall not live.” But Jehu did it in subtlety, intending that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.
19Huchiin Baal jawlneite tengteng, a bemite tengteng leh a siampute tengteng ka kiangah hon sam khawm dih ua; kuamah kimlou kei uheh; Baal kiangah kithoihna thupi tak lat ding ka nei a; kuapeuh a kimlou a hing hetkei ding, a chi a. Himahleh Jehuin Baal bemite hihlup tumin, gitlouh pila a hih ahi.
20Jehu said, “Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal!” They proclaimed it.
20Huan, Jehuin, baal minin khawmpi thupi bawl un, a chi a. Huchiin a gen zakta uhi.
21Jehu sent through all Israel; and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that didn’t come. They came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to another.
21Huan, Jehuin Israel gam tengteng ah a khak khiaa; huchiin Baal tengteng a hongpai ua, a tel lou himhim a omkei uh. Huan, Baal in ah alut ua; huan, Baal in bel kongpi akipana phaitam phain a dim dedup uh.
22He said to him who was over the vestry, “Bring out robes for all the worshippers of Baal!” He brought robes out to them.
22Huan, kivatna puan kemmi kiangah, Baal bemi tengteng kivatna puan honlaaksakin, a chi a. Huchiin kivatna puante a hon lak sak ua.
23Jehu went with Jehonadab the son of Rechab into the house of Baal. Then he said to the worshippers of Baal, “Search, and look that there are here with you none of the servants of Yahweh, but the worshippers of Baal only.”
23Huan, Jehu bel, Rekab tapa Jehonadab toh Baal in ah a lut ua; huan Baal bemite kiangah, hiai laiah Baal bemite loungal, Toupa mite a hong omkha ding uh, zongunla, en vialvial dih un, a chi a.
24They went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed him eighty men outside, and said, “If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he who lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.”
24Huan, kithoihnate leh halmang thillat lan dingin a lut ua. Jehuin inpua ah misawmgiat a nading sak khin nilouha, Hiai na khut ua ka hon piak kuapeuh asuahtak uleh, a suahtaksakin a hin tangin amah hinna a tan ding hi, a chi a.
25It happened, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in, and kill them! Let none escape.” They struck them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.
25Huan, halmang thillat a lat khit takin hichi ahi a, Jehuin galvil sepaih leh a heutute uh kiangah, Valut unla, va that un; kuamah suakta sak keiun, a chi a. huan, namsauin a sat jialjial ua; huan galvil sepaih leh a heutute un a paikhia ua, huan, Baal insung ah a lut ua.
26They brought out the pillars that were in the house of Baal, and burned them.
26Huan, Baal ina milimte a la khia ua, a hal uh.
27They broke down the pillar of Baal, and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a latrine, to this day.
27Huan, Baal suangphuh a chimsak ua, Baal in a hihsia ua, dailenna in dingin a zangta ua, tutanin a zang lai uh.
28Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.
28Huchibangin Jehuin Israel gam akipan Baal a hihmang.
29However from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin, Jehu didn’t depart from after them, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan.
29Himahleh Nebat tapa Jeroboam khelhna Israelte thil hihkhialsaka a hihte Jehuin atawpsan tuankei, huai bel bethel khua leh Dan khuaa dangkaeng bawngnou limte biak ahi.
30Yahweh said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in my heart, your sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.”
30Huan, Toupan Jehu kiangah, Ka mit tung taka thil na hih jiak leh ka lungsim deih thusam bangtaka Ahab inkote tunga na hih jiakin, na tapate suan lina tanin Israelte laltutphah ah atu ding uh, a chi a.
31But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of Yahweh, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.
31Himahleh Jehuin Toupa, Israelte Pathian dan a lungtang tengtengin a pom keia; Jeroboam in Israelte thil hihkhialsaka a hihkhelh a tawpsan tuankei hi.
32In those days Yahweh began to cut off from Israel; and Hazael struck them in all the borders of Israel;
32Huai lain Toupan Israelte a khahkhe panta a; huchiin Hazaelin Israel gam tengtengah a zou jela;
33from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.
33Jordan akipan suahlam, Gilead gam tengteng, Gadte, Reubente, Manasite, Arnon guama Aroer akipan Gilead leh Vasan gam tanin.
34Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
34Jehu tanchin dangte, a thilhih tengteng, a thilhihtheihdan tengteng Israel kumpipate lal lai thu gelhna bu-ah a tuang ahikei maw?
35Jehu slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria. Jehoahaz his son reigned in his place.
35Huchiin Jehu bel a pi leh pute kiangah a ihmu a, Samari khuaah a vuita uh. Huan, a tapa Jehoahaz a sikin a lal.Huan, Samari gama Israelte tunga Jehu vaihawm sung kum sawmnih leh kum giat ahi.
36The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
36Huan, Samari gama Israelte tunga Jehu vaihawm sung kum sawmnih leh kum giat ahi.
