1Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.
1Huan, Juda kumpipa Jehosaphat kum sawm leh kum giat a lal kumin Ahab tapa Jehoram bel Israelte tungah Samari khua ah a lal pana: huan, kum sawm leh kum nih a lal hi.
2He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, but not like his father, and like his mother; for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made.
2Huan, Toupa mitmuhin thil hoih lou pi a hih seka; ahihangin a nu leh a pa bang telin jaw thil a hih kei: aman jaw a pa Baal suang naphuh a pai hi.
3Nevertheless he held to the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin; he didn’t depart from it.
3Himahleh Israelte thil hihkhial saka a hih Nebat tapa Jeroboam khelhnate a belh chintena; a paisan nawnta kei hi.
4Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder; and he rendered to the king of Israel the wool of one hundred thousand lambs, and of one hundred thousand rams.
4Moab kumpipa Mesa bel belam vulmi ahi a; aman Israel kumpipa lakah belam nou nuaikhat mul leh belampa nuaikhat mul siah a liau sek hi.
5But it happened, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
5Ahihhangin Ahab a sih nungin hichi ahi a, Moab kumpipa Israel kumpipa tungah a helta hi.
6King Jehoram went out of Samaria at that time, and mustered all Israel.
6Huan, Huchih lai in kumpipa Jehoram bel Samari khua a kipan a pawta, Israelte tengteng akai khawm veka.
7He went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me against Moab to battle?” He said, “I will go up. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”
7Huchiin a pawta, Juda kumpipa Jehosaphat kiangah Moab kumpipa ka tungah a hel a, Moabte na hon sual pih nuam ding maw? Chiin mi a sawl a. Huan, aman, Hon sual pih e: kei leh nang, ka mite na mite pumkhat ihi ua, ka sakolte leh na sakolte pumkhat ahi uhi, a chi a.
8He said, “Which way shall we go up?” He answered, “The way of the wilderness of Edom.”
8Huan, amah mahin, koilam lampi ah ahia I kuan touh ding uh? achia. Huan, aman a dawnga, Edom gamdai lam lampi ah, a chi a.
9So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom; and they made a circuit of seven days’ journey. There was no water for the army, nor for the animals that followed them.
9Huchiin Israel kumpipa Juda kumpipa toh, Edom kumpipa toh, a kuanta ua; ni sagih a kual pai ua; huan, sepaihte leh a sa tonpihte uh dawn ding tui a om kei hi.
10The king of Israel said, “Alas! For Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”
10Huan, Israel kumpipan, Eheheh! Toupan kumpipa thumte Moabte khuta piak dinga honpe khawm ahi peuhmah ve, a chi a.
11But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there here a prophet of Yahweh, that we may inquire of Yahweh by him?” One of the king of Israel’s servants answered, “Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.”
11Himahleh Jehosaphat in, hiai ah Toupa hon dot sak ding Toupa jawlnei kua hiam bek a om kei ua hia? a chi a. Huan, Israel kumpipa sikha khatin a dawnga, Elija khut tui a buaksekpa Saphat tapa Elisa hiai om eive, a chi a.
12Jehoshaphat said, “The word of Yahweh is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
12Huan, Jehosaphatin, a kiangah Toupa thu a om hi, a chi a. Huchiin Israel kumpipa leh Jehosaphat leh Edom kumpipa a kiangah a hoh sukta ua.
13Elisha said to the king of Israel, “What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother.” The king of Israel said to him, “No; for Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”
13Huan, Elisain Israel kumpipa kiangah, nang leh ken kizatna bang I nei ua leh? Na pa jawlneite kiangah leh na nu jawlneite kiangah pai mangin, a chi a. Huan, Israel kumpipan a kiangah, Pai lou e; kumpipa thumte Moabte khuta piak dingin Toupan honpi khawm ahi, a chi a.
14Elisha said, “As Yahweh of Armies lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I respect the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.
15But now bring me a minstrel.” It happened, when the minstrel played, that the hand of Yahweh came on him.
15Abang abang hileh, kaihging tumsiam mi hon sam un, a chi a. Huan, kaihging tumsiam in a hon tum leh, hichi ahi, Toupa khuta ahong omta hi.
16He said, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Make this valley full of trenches.’
16Huan, aman, Toupan hichiin a chi, hiai guam tengteng tou kuak tektuk un, chiin.
17For thus says Yahweh, ‘You will not see wind, neither will you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your animals.
17Toupa mah in hichiin a chi: huih himhim na theikei ding ua, vuah him him leng na mu sam kei ding ua, himahleh hiai guam tui in a dim vek ding hi; huchiin noute leh na gan honte uh leh na sate un ane ding uh, chiin.
18This is but a light thing in the sight of Yahweh. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
18Huai bel Toupa ngaihin thil neuchik lel ahi a; Moabte na khut uah a honpiak behlap sin ahi.
19You shall strike every fortified city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.’”

21Now when all the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them, they gathered themselves together, all who were able to put on armor, and upward, and stood on the border.

22They rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone on the water, and the Moabites saw the water over against them as red as blood.

23They said, “This is blood. The kings are surely destroyed, and they have struck each other. Now therefore, Moab, to the spoil!”
23Sisan eive, kumpipate amau le amau a kidou ua, amau leh amau akithat uh ahi mahmah ve; kisa un Moabte aw, gallak sum iva tuh ding uh, a chi ua.
24When they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and struck the Moabites, so that they fled before them; and they went forward into the land smiting the Moabites.

25They beat down the cities; and on every good piece of land they cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the springs of water, and felled all the good trees, until in Kir Hareseth only they left its stones; however the men armed with slings went about it, and struck it.
