1This is now, beloved, the second letter that I have written to you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by reminding you;
1Deihtakte aw, tua na kiang ua ka gelh laikhak nihna ahi a. huaite gel ah nou theihkhiakthak nawnnain na lungsim siang uh ka tokthou hi.
2that you should remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandments of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
2Jawlnei siangthoute thugen kholh leh, na sawltakte uh kama Toupa leh Hondampa thupiak na theihgige na ding in,
3knowing this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts,
3Hiai thei masa un, ni nanungte ah, misimmohhatte tuh amau utna banga omin, simmoh kawmin a hongpai ding ua,
4and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
4a hongpai nawnna thuchiam koi ah? Siam tunga kipan bangkim a om ngeingei bang un pi leh pute ihmut ni akipanin a om jela, a honchi ding uhi.
5For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water, by the word of God;
5Hiai khawngte a kitheihmohbawl jel uh, Pathian thuin nidanglaiin vante a hongom a;
6by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.
6huan, leitung, tuia kipan leh tui zanga bawl ahia, huai tui mahin a tuma, a mangthangta chih.
7But the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
7Himahleh, tua vante lah lei omte tuh huai thu mahin Pathianlimsaklou mite vaihawm leh manthat ni adinga sitin, meia dinga khol khawm a hita hi.
8But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
8Himahleh, deihtak aw, hiai thu kamkhat pen mangngilh kei un, Toupa ngaihin ni khat tuh kum sang khat bang ahi, kum sang khat leng ni khat bang ahi, chih.
9The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
9Mi khenkhat in zekai a sak bang un Toupa jaw a thuchiam lamah a zekai kei hi; kuamah manthat deih loua, mi tengteng hongkisik deihin, noumau lamah a dohzou ahi jaw hi.
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
10Himahleh, Toupa ni jaw guta bangin a hongtung ding; huai ni chiangin van khawng nakpi taka gingin a mangthang ding, thilbulte khawng meia hai tuiin a omta dinga, lei leh a sunga nasep omte, a kang bei ding uhi.
11Therefore since all these things will be destroyed like this, what kind of people ought you to be in holy living and godliness,
11Tua thilte tuh huchibanga mangthang vek ding uh ahi chih na theih un, omdan siangthou leh Pathian limsakna lamah mi bangchi bang hi ding na hi ua,
12looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, which will cause the burning heavens to be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
12Pathian ni hongtunna ding lamen leh phatuamngai taka deihin. Huai ni a tun jiakin van khawng hongkangin a mangthang dia, thilbulte leng meia hai tuiin a omta ding.
13But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
13Himahleh, a thuchiam bang in van thak leh lei thak, a sunga diktatna omte khawng i lamen ahi.
14Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent to be found in peace, without blemish and blameless in his sight.
14Huaijiakin, deihtakte aw, huaibang thilte na lamet jiak un nin bang lou leh gensiatbeiin, khamuang taka na om uh a honmuh theihna ding in, thanop suah un;
15Regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you;
15huan, i Toupa dohzohna hotdamnain sim un. i unaupa deihtak Paulain leng, a kianga pilna piak bang jela, na kiang ua a gelh bangin;
16as also in all of his letters, speaking in them of these things. In those, there are some things that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unsettled twist, as they also do to the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
16a laikhak tengteng ah, tua thute genin. tua mahbangin a gelh hi. Huaiah tuh tuh theih hak thukte a oma, huaite tuh mi pil lou leh mi kip louten, laisiangthou dang a ngaikawi bang un a ngaikawi ua, amau leh amau kihihmannan a zang nak uhi.
17You therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware, lest being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.
17Huchiin, deihtakte aw, nouten tua thute na natheih kholh jiak un pilvang un, huchilou injaw mi giloute diklouhnaa pi manga omin, na kipna ua kipan na puk kha ding uhi.Ahihhangin, i Toupa leh Hondampa Jesu Kris hehpihna leh theihna ah hongkhang unla. Tu leh khantawnin amah kiangah thupina om hen. Amen.
18But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
18Ahihhangin, i Toupa leh Hondampa Jesu Kris hehpihna leh theihna ah hongkhang unla. Tu leh khantawnin amah kiangah thupina om hen. Amen.
