Isaiah

31

1Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they don’t look to the Holy One of Israel, and they don’t seek Yahweh!
1Aigupta gama panpihna zong dinga hoh suka, sakolte tunga muanga, a tam jiak ua kangtalaite leh a hat mahmah jiak ua sakol tungtuang mite muanga Israelte Mi Siangthou lam bel en lou-a, TOUPA leng dong loute jaw a tung uh a gik hi!
2Yet he also is wise, and will bring disaster, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of those who work iniquity.
2Dong kei mahle uh amah leng pil tak ahi, thil hoihlou a hontung sak dinga, a thute laha khel nawn kei ding, thil hoihlou hihmite inkuan sual dingin a thou zo dinga, khialte panpihna dou dingin a thou ding.
3Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When Yahweh stretches out his hand, both he who helps shall stumble, and he who is helped shall fall, and they all shall be consumed together.
3Aigupta mite jaw, PAthian ahi kei ua, mi lel ahi uh; huchiin TOUPAN a khut a jak hun chiangin a panpihtu pen a pai ekek dinga, a panpihpen leng a puk dinga, a vek un a mangthang chiat ding uh.
4For thus says Yahweh to me, “As the lion and the young lion growling over his prey, if a multitude of shepherds is called together against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for their noise, so Yahweh of Armies will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its heights.
4TOUPAN lah hichiin ka kiangah a chi ngala. Humpinelkai leh humpinelkai lun laiin sa a kham laiin belam chingmi tamtak a sual dingin a sap khiakin om mah le uh, a aw uh a lau kei ding ua, a bilap jiakun a kihta tuan kei ding bangin, sepaihte TOUPA jaw Zion tangah a mual pawnga sual dingin a hong paisuk ding hi.
5As birds hovering, so Yahweh of Armies will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and deliver it. He will pass over and preserve it.”
5Vasate a bu tung ua a leng leng bang un sepaihte TOUPAN Jerusalem khua a veng ding; a veng dia a tankhe dinga, a paikanin a humbit ding hi.
6Return to him from whom you have deeply revolted, children of Israel.
6Israel suante aw, nakpi taka na helsan sa lam uh nga nawnta un.
7For in that day everyone shall cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold—sin which your own hands have made for you.
7Huai niin mi chihin amau dangka milimte, amau dangkaeng milimte, khelhna dinga noumau khuta na kibawltawmte uh lah a pai mang uh ahi ngala,
8“The Assyrian will fall by the sword, not of man; and the sword, not of mankind, shall devour him. He will flee from the sword, and his young men will become subject to forced labor.
8Huai hun chiangin Assuria mi bel, mi namsaua puk sak hi louin, nam sau hih puk sak hi louin, namsau hihpukin a om dinga; namsau mi te-a hi louin, amah a gai ding; huan, namsau laka kipan a tai mang dinga, a tangvalte lah siah liaumi a honghita ding uh.Huan, a suangpi lah thil mulkimhuai jiakin a mang dinga, a miliante lah chiamtehna jiakin a buaita ding, chiin, TOUPA, a mei Ziona omin leh, a haltuina mei Jerusalema omin, ahi.
9His rock will pass away by reason of terror, and his princes will be afraid of the banner,” says Yahweh, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
9Huan, a suangpi lah thil mulkimhuai jiakin a mang dinga, a miliante lah chiamtehna jiakin a buaita ding, chiin, TOUPA, a mei Ziona omin leh, a haltuina mei Jerusalema omin, ahi.
