Isaiah

49

1Listen, islands, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: Yahweh has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name:
1Tuikulh-ate aw, ka thu ngaikhia unla, gamla pi-a mi chih aw, ngaikhia un: Toupan sul akipana hon sap him ka hi; ka nu gilsunga kipan him in ka min a nagenta hi:
2and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand, he has hidden me: and he has made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he kept me close:
2Ka kam namsau hiam mahmah bangin a bawla, a khutah a honsela; thal nawttet vilvelin a honbawla, a thalbawmah a hnkhum a:
3and he said to me, “You are my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
3Huan, ka kiangah, Nang jaw ka sikha na hi a; Israel pahtawia ka omna ding, na hi, a chi a.
4But I said, “I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh, and my reward with my God.”
4Ken bel, A thawn lelin ka semgima, bangmah lou ding leh huihkhua lel dingin ka tha pai: himahleh pellouin ka tunga vaihwamna ding Toupa kiangah ahi a om, hon ditna ding leng ka Pathian kiangah ahi a om, ka chi.
5Now says Yahweh who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of Yahweh, and my God has become my strength);
5Huan, tuin Toupa, Jakobte a kianga pi nawnna ding leh, Israelte a kianga pi khawma a omna ding un, a sikhaa om dinga sula kipana honbawlpan a gen (Toupa mitmuhin mi zahtakhuai ka hi ngala, ka Pathian lah ka hatna ahi behlapta hi)
6yes, he says, “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”
6A hi, aman, Jakobte namte tundingna ding leh Israelte laka humbitte a omsak naawna dingin, ka sikhaa na om jaw, thil neuchik mahmah a hilai: Jentelte vaksakpa dingin leng ka honsep ding, kawlmong phaa ka hondampa dia na om theihna dingin, a chi a.
7Thus says Yahweh, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers: “Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Yahweh who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”
7Toupa, Israelte tanpa leh a Mi Siangthou un, mite muhsitpa, namte kihtuntun, vaihawmmite sikha kiangah hichiin a chi: Muanhuai Toua, Israelte Mi Siangthou, nang hontelpa jiakin kumpipaten a mu ding ua, a thou ding uh; mi lianten leng chibai a buk ding uh, chiin.
8Thus says Yahweh, “In an acceptable time have I answered you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritage:
8Toupan hichiin a chi, Hun kipahhuaiah ka hondawngtaa, hotdamna ni ah ka hon panpihta: ka honhawi dinga, mipite thukunna dingin ka honpe ding, lei dingkipsak ding, gouluah nutsiatsa luahsak dingin;
9saying to those who are bound, ‘Come out!’; to those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves!’ “They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture.
9Suangkulh tangte kianga, Pawt un, miala omte kianga, Hongkilang un, na chih theihna dingin. Lampi-ahte a ne jel ding ua, tangsang mai pengpong ahte a tatna mun uh a om ding hi.
10They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he who has mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water he will guide them.
10A gil kial un a dangtak kei ding ua; kholuma bawlgimin niin leng a hai sam kei ding hi: amaute itpain a pi ding a ahi ngala, tui naknei kiang ngeiah te a pi sin ngala.
11I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
11Huchiin ka tang tengteng lampi din ka bawl dinga, ka lamliante leng sansakin a om ding uh.
12Behold, these shall come from far; and behold, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.”
12Enin, hiaite gamlapi akipanin a hongpai ding ua; enin hiaite mallam akipan te, tumlam akipante in a hongpai sin uh; huaite Sinim gama kipanin a hongpai sin uhi.
13Sing, heavens; and be joyful, earth; and break forth into singing, mountains: for Yahweh has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.
13Vante aw, nuamtakin lasa un; lei aw, nuamsain omin; tangte aw, lasa khe guih un: Toupan lah mite a lungmuan ngala, a mi haksat thuakte leng a hehpih ding hi.
14But Zion said, “Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.”
14Himahleh Zionin, Jehova-in honpai sana, Toupan ahongmangngilh ta, a chi.
15“Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!
15Numeiin a tapa, a gila gah ngei, hehpih louhna dingin a nau nwinelai a mangngilh thei ahia! Thei e, huaiten jaw a mangngilh uh ahi thei, himahleh ken jaw ka honmangngilh kei ding.
16Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
16Enin, ka khutpekah ka hon gelh hi; na kulh bangte ka maah a om gige ahi.
17Your children make haste; your destroyers and those who made you waste shall go forth from you.
17Na tate a kin ua, nang honhihmangmite leh nang honhihsemiten a honpawt san ding uh.
18Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live,” says Yahweh, “you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride.
18Dak inla, en vialvial inla, en in: hiai tengteng a kikhawm ua, na kiangah a hongpai uhhi. Ka hinna louin, Nang pahtawina kisilh bangin hiaite na kisilha, mou a kigak bangin hiaite in na kigak ngei ding, Toupan a chi hi.
19“For, as for your waste and your desolate places, and your land that has been destroyed, surely now you shall be too small for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up shall be far away.
19Na mun sia leh nusiatsate leh na gam hihmansa nung thu ajaw tuin a omte adingin na neu lota ngeingei dinga, nang honvalhte gamla-pi ah aomta ding uhi.
20The children of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, The place is too small for me; give place to me that I may dwell.
20Na ta mansak nunga na ta neihnawnten, Mun kei adingin a neu luaa: ka omna dingin mun honpiain, chiin, na bilah a hon gen ding uh.
21Then you will say in your heart, ‘Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?’”
21Huchiin nangna lungsimin; Hiaite honsuaksak ahi ua eita? ka tate ka mangsaka, keimah kiaa, sala, vialvak ka hi ngala: huchiin hiaite kuan kem ahia eita? Ngaiin, keimah kiaa nutsiatin lah ka om ngala, hiaite koia na om uh ahia eita? na chi ding, chiin.
22Thus says the Lord Yahweh, “Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my banner to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
22Toupa Pathianin hichiin a chi, Ngaiin, nam chih adingin ka khut ka jakin, mi chih a dingin ka chiamtehna ka tat khe ding: huchiin na tapate a poma pomin na kiangah a honpi ding ua, na tanute te leng liangkolou-a suana piin a om ding uh.
23Kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am Yahweh; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed.”
23Huan, Kumpipate na tate donpate ahi ding ua, a khupinute u leng na tate donnu ahi ding uh: amau a mai ua lei siin chibai honbuk ding ua, na khea leivui a liak ding uh; huchiin kei Toupa ka hi chih na thei mai ding, hon ngakmite zahlakin a om kei ding uh.
24Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered?
24Gallakte mi hattak akipana suha omin, mi lauhuai salte hotkhiakin a om ding ua hia?
25But thus says Yahweh, “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.
25Om nake, Toupan hichiin a chi, Mi hattak salte hial leng suhin a om ding ua, mi lauhuai gallakte hotkhiak in a om ding: nang doute lah ka dou sin ngala, na tate leng ka hondam ding hi.Huan, nang homsimmohte amau sa ka ne sak ding; uain khum kham bangin amau sisain a kham ding uh: huchiin mi tengtengin, kei Toupa nangmah Hondampa leh nangmah Tanpa, Jakob-a Mi Hat ka hi chih, a thei ding uh, chiin.
26I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
26Huan, nang homsimmohte amau sa ka ne sak ding; uain khum kham bangin amau sisain a kham ding uh: huchiin mi tengtengin, kei Toupa nangmah Hondampa leh nangmah Tanpa, Jakob-a Mi Hat ka hi chih, a thei ding uh, chiin.
