Isaiah

59

1Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; neither his ear heavy, that it can’t hear:
1Ngai un, Toupa khut hondam theilou dingin tomsakin a om keia; a bil leng za theilou dingin a ngong sam kei:
2but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
2Na thulimlouhnate uh noumau leh na Pathian kal ua kiain a honkhen ahi, bila a jak nop louhna dingin na khelhnate un a mai a honliahsak lai ahi.
3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness.
3Na khutte uh lah sisana hihnitin a oma, na khutzungte uh lah thulimlouhnaa hihnitin a om hi; na mukte un juau a gena, na lei uh ginatlouhna thu genin a phun nuanua hi.
4None sues in righteousness, and none pleads in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
4Kuamahin diktakin thukhawk a gen kei ua, kuamahin thutak takin thu a genpih ngei kei uh: huihkhua lelte a muang ua, juau a gen nak uh; thilhihkhelhna a pai ua, thulimlouhna a suang jel uhi.
5They hatch adders’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
5Thangtom tuite a opkhum ua, maimom gil puan a gan uh: a tui nemite a si jel uh, hihtapa omah gul a hongpawt hi.
6Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
6A maimon gil puante uh puansilh dingin a hongom kei dinga, a thilhihte uh leng a silh sam kei ding uh: a thilhihte u lah thulimlouhna thilhihte ahi a, hiamgam taka hihna lah a khut uah a om hi.
7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their paths.
7A khete uh thil hoihlou lamah a taia, gensiat bei sisan suah dingin a kintat nilouh louh uh: a ngaihtuahte u lah thulimlouhna ngaihtuahnate ahi a; gamna leh siatna a lampi uahte a om jel hi.
8The way of peace they don’t know; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whoever goes therein does not know peace.
8Lungmuana lampi a theikei ua; a paina uah dikna himhim a om ngei kei: amau adingin lam kawi bang a bawl ua; huailaia pai peuhmahin lungmuanna a thei ngei kei uh.
9Therefore is justice far from us, neither does righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
9Huaijiakin vaihawmna ei akipana gamla pi-ah a om naknaka, diktatnain a honpha zou ngei kei: vak i ngak sek ua, himahleh, ngaiin, mial a honghi jel; vakna I ngak jel ua, himahleh mial bikbekah mah I pai nak uh.
10We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men.
10Mittaw bangin bang I mai pualpual ua, ahi, mit neiloute bangin I mai pualpual nak uh: khomialtung bangin sunin I kisui ua; mi hatte lakah misi bang phet I hi uhi.
11We roar all like bears, and moan bitterly like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
11Vompite bangin I vek un i ham dupdup ua, vakhute vangin nakpi takin I thum ngutngut uh: vaihawmna I ngak ua, himahleh, a om het kei hi; hotdamna I ngak ua, himahleh gamla pi-ah a honomsan hi.
12For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
12I tatleknate I ma uah a khangta ngala, I khelhnaten ahonhek gige hi: I tatleknate lah I kiang uah a om gige ngala, I thulimlouhnate I thei hi:
13transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
13I takleknate, Toupa I theihmohbawlte, I Pathian I zuih jel louha I kiheisan te, nuaisiah thu leh hel thu I gen te, juau thu I pai ua, lungtang akipan I gen khiak jel te.
14Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.
14Huchiin vaihawmnain nunglam a hongngat sana, diktatnain gamla pi-ah a hondin santa: thutak lah kongzingah a puka, dikna a lut theikei hi.
15Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.
15A hi, thutak a omta keia; thil hoihlou tawpsanmi gallakin a kibawl jel: huchiin Toupan huai a mu-a, vaihawmna himhim omta louin a lungkimsak ta kei hi.
16He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.
16Huan, mi himhim a om kei chih a theia, ngetsakmi mawngmawng a om louh uh lamdang a chi-a: huaijiakin amah ban mahmahin hotdamna a kibawla; amah diktatna mahmahin a kilen kip hi.
17He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
17Huan, diktatna lumin a neia, hotdamna lukhu a khu-a; huan, puansilhin phulakna puansilhte a silha, puannak tual dingin phatuamngaihna a silh hi.
18According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense.
18A thil hihte uh bangin, a thilhihte uh bang mahmahin a man a thuk ding, amah doumite hehnain, a melmate thuknain a thuk ding; tuikulhgamte thuknain a thuk ding.
19So shall they fear the name of Yahweh from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Yahweh drives.
19Huchiin Toupa min tumlam akipanin a lau ding ua, a thupina leng ni suahna akipanin a lau ding uh; amah lah tui khang guih, Toupa hua mut luang zoizoi bangin a hongpai sin ngala.
20“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says Yahweh.
20Huan, Zion ah Tanpain a hongpai dinga, Jakobte laka tatlekna tawpsanmite lakah leng a hongpai ding, Toupan a chi.Ken jaw, hiai ahi a kiang ua ka thukhun, Toupan a chi: ka kha na tunga om leh, ka thu na kama ka koihten, tuban khantawn pha inleng na kam a pawtsan kei ding ua, na suante kam leng a pawtsan sam kei ding ua, na suante suante suan sawnte kam leng a pawtsan sam kei ding uh, Toupan a chi.
21“As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says Yahweh. “My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed’s seed,” says Yahweh, “from henceforth and forever.”
21Ken jaw, hiai ahi a kiang ua ka thukhun, Toupan a chi: ka kha na tunga om leh, ka thu na kama ka koihten, tuban khantawn pha inleng na kam a pawtsan kei ding ua, na suante kam leng a pawtsan sam kei ding ua, na suante suante suan sawnte kam leng a pawtsan sam kei ding uh, Toupan a chi.
