Isaiah

9

1But there shall be no more gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time, he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali; but in the latter time he has made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.
1Himahleh lungluaua omkhinnu adingin nguina himhim a omta kei ding. Nidanglaiin Zebulun gam leh Naphtali gam simmohhuaiin a omsaka, himahleh hun nanungah jaw thupitakin a omsakta, dil geiah, Jordan galah, nam chih Galili mah.
2The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who lived in the land of the shadow of death, on them the light has shined.
2Mi mial nuaia vakten vak thupitak a mutu ua: sihna lim gama omte tung mahmah ah vak a hongvakta hi.
3You have multiplied the nation. You have increased their joy. They rejoice before you according to the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
3Nam lah na tamsaktaa, a nopsakna uleng na khangsakta hi: buhlak laia nuamsa bangin na maah nuam a sata ua, min gallak sum a hawm ua nuam a sa bang mai un.
4For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as in the day of Midian.
4A puakgik puakna hakkol leh a liangjanga jawnna jawl, amah nuaisiahte khetbuk mah, Midiante zohni bangin na suktansakna ngala.
5For all the armor of the armed man in the noisy battle, and the garments rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.
5Chiak vengvunga mi galthuama a kithuamna tengteng u leh puansilh sisan toh kidiah niaunuau tengteng, hala, meia khul ding phet lah ahi ngala.
6For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
6Ei dingin naupang a hongpianga, tapa piakin in omta; vaihawmna a liangjangah a tuang dinga; a min Lamdang, Lemthei, Pathian Hat, Khantawn Pa, Lemna Lal lah a chi sin ngal ua.
7Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.
7David tutphah tungah leh a gam tungah a vaihawmna khandan leh lemnain tawpni a neikei ding, hihkip ding leh tua kipana khantawn tana leng vaihawmna leh diktatna tungding dingin, Sepaihte TOUPA phatuamngaihnain huaite a hih ding.
8The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it falls on Israel.
8TOUPAN Jakobte gamah thu a khaka, Israelte tungah a keta.
9All the people will know, including Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and in arrogance of heart,
9Huchiin mi tengteng, Ephraimte leh Samaria om, kisatheitak leh lungsima ki-uangsak.
10“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with cut stone. The sycamore fig trees have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
10Tekleite jaw chim mahleh, suangtak sekin i lemna ding; theipi singte sattanin om mahleh, sidar singtein i kheng na ding, chiten a thei ding uh.
11Therefore Yahweh will set up on high against him the adversaries of Rezin, and will stir up his enemies,
11Huaijiakin TOUPAN Rezin doumite amah dou dingin a tawisang dinga;
12The Syrians in front, and the Philistines behind; and they will devour Israel with open mouth. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
12A melma, suahlama Suriate, tumlama Philistiate, a tokthou ding; huchiin kam kain Israelte a ne khin ding uh. Huchi lawmlawma hihin leng a hehna a dai keia, a khut a lik lailai hi.
13Yet the people have not turned to him who struck them, neither have they sought Yahweh of Armies.
13Himahleh miten amaute vopa lam a nga tuan kei ua, Sepaihte TOUPA lah a zong tuan kei uhi.
14Therefore Yahweh will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and reed, in one day.
14Huaaijiakin TOUPAN Israelte akipanin a lutang leh a mei, tum hiang leh pumpeng ni khat thuin a bantan ding.
15The elder and the honorable man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail.
15Upa leh mizahtakhuaite, a lutang ahi ua; juauthu sinsak sek jawlneite, a mei ahi uh.
16For those who lead this people lead them astray; and those who are led by them are destroyed.
16Hiai mite piten a pi khial nak uhi, a pite uh hihmanthatin a om nak uhi.
17Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for everyone is profane and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
17Huaijiakin TOUPa a tangvalte uh tungah a kipak kei dinga, a tagahte uleh a meithaite uleng a hehpih sam kei ding; a vek un Pathian zahlou mi leh thil hoihlou hihmite ahi chiat un, kam tengtengin lah thuginalou a gen chiat ngal a. Hichi lawmlawma a hih inleng, a hehna lah a dai keia, a khut a lik lailai hi.
18For wickedness burns like a fire. It devours the briers and thorns; yes, it kindles in the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke.
18Gitlouhna lah mei bangin a kuang luahluah sek ngala, lou lingnei leh khaulingneite a kangmang sek; ahi, gammang nong lak khawngah a kang lualuaa, a khu tou ngoingoi.
19Through the wrath of Yahweh of Armies, the land is burnt up; and the people are the fuel for the fire. No one spares his brother.
19Sepaihte TOUPA heh jiakin gam a kang siaa, mite leng meia khulding sing bang ahi ua; kuamahin amau unau leng a hawi kei uhi.
20One will devour on the right hand, and be hungry; and he will eat on the left hand, and they will not be satisfied. Everyone will eat the flesh of his own arm:
20Huchiin min a taklam ua mi a tuh ding ua, himahleh a tai tuan kei ding uh; mi chihin amau ban sa a ne chiat ding uh.Manasiten Ephraimte a ne ding ua, Ephraimten Manasite a ne ding ua; huan, a nih un Judate a dou khawm ding uh. Huchi lawmlawma a hihin leng, a hehna lah a dai keia, a khut a lik lailai hi.
21Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh; and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
21Manasiten Ephraimte a ne ding ua, Ephraimten Manasite a ne ding ua; huan, a nih un Judate a dou khawm ding uh. Huchi lawmlawma a hihin leng, a hehna lah a dai keia, a khut a lik lailai hi.
